Donny M Unfortunately, UA-cam has restrictions on the content of the program. I would like to post the rest. I would really like to see archives.org hosting intact TV content from prior to the internet's existence. There could be much content recorded by people on home VHS and Beta.
Thank you so much for responding to my inquiry.Maybe you can't post anymore footage but if you have access to the rest of the first episode can you kindly list the rest of the countdown. It would be a great edition to the UKmix forum we have dedicated to the history of the MTV top 20 countdown.
Donny M I have attempted to upload the edited version which does not have the intact music videos. Are there any others with a copy of this particular video program? The program has relevancy to any who are studying the history of MTV, music video, or are interested in pop culture of the 1980s.
Zach Horan Thanks for that clarification Zach! Unfortunately, I did not mark the date of recording on the tape cassette itself. But, I think you are correct!
Donny M That looks like a neat forum. I tried to join the forum but on my MacOS/Safari browser, I get an error message stating that the site is not accepting new registrations. Because I have already digitized the original MTV program, I will attempt to clip together Mark Goodman's comments without including the actual music videos. This will allow you to see Mark Goodman making the call as in 1984. Best wishes.

I hope you can scan, digitize or create a web page with those listings. There doesn't seem to be a such a list published on the nets or wiki.
@@kennethhayashida3009 Let's see if I can travel there to see my folks in the US. By the looks of the pandemic, not any time soon. :-(

THis is early 1984, probably February or March given all three of the songs seen here were on BIllboard during those months.
