OMG, I literally rewound Will's comment about the toilet in the kitchen ten times and cried from laughter each time I listened to it. He is so fast and so outrageous. He always kills me.
Are you watching this podcast on VHS? Methinks thine rewinding be not literal, rather figurative. Welcome to English 101…please turn off your phone and take a seat. 😂
I love you guys, your work and this podcast. I REALLY would love for you to show the video of your interviews. We miss so much not seeing your reactions, etc. I don't think I'm alone. xo
Holy smokes. The Smartless bar also rises! That was an absolute pleasure. Who doesn't adore the intensely talented Charlize Theron? And backstory was filled people. It's fascinating. She is a seriously impressive human being. With gifts! As always the insider stories and hearing of the connections with their guests in real life is part of the Smartless appeal. I find myself laughing along at the ribbing and deft comedic timing out of these shmoozy clowns. Handsome clowns certainly...and really only Bateman and Arnett could be ribbed with that throwaway line anyway. Yet...those two and their competition to be the most diplomatic, generous, and informed conversationalist is interesting enough to maybe start keeping score. Both of them can riff on the fly with those question/statement/fillibuster thingies they roll out. Is it possible either are related to Ted Cruz? 🤔 Jason is such a sensitive sweetheart of a guy. Eager to please, ready to reverse if he feels he might be pushing the wrong buttons in the guest. And Will...well, I think he's an Alpha dog poster he-man. Yet...somehow...he can be vulnerable and clearly the man is very sensitive and kind. And he wants to make folks happy. Both of them impress with their quick thinking and natural curiosity. All of them do, when Sean manages to carve out some air time. Can't believe that guy is an accomplished pianist and seemingly the lifelong theater arts geek that squeezes in culture moving sitcom stardom and has forged a beautiful and successful marriage with a man named Scott. Don't you gotta keep your eyes on guys named Scott? 😉 Ps. The best part of this episode is these guys being wiseacres and getting Charlize laughing so hard she couldn't talk. Not just because she's one of the great beauties of the world, but also just the sincere camaraderie this show has on tap. It's pretty special.
Will referenced one of my absolute favourite jokes from Arrested Development and nobody acknowledged it. When Jason asked Charlize if she was scared of bees and Will said "bees!?" 😂
This is one of those episodes when I'm REALLY disappointed there's no video 🤯🤯🤯 You really should get together and do the _Oceanwalker_ movie with Charlize 🤣🤣 Sean, you'll catch on later.
Sean and I both do not want to sleep in other beds. Totally understand, like my own bed, pillows, and sheets . Lovin all these podcasts my brothers from another mother, Jason, Sean, and Will Peace and Love
Charlize saying Afrikaans is a dying language🤣🤣🤣 over 7million people speaks Afrikaans! Why do you have to lie?! Is it get people to think "wow you can speak a very rare language!"?? Please! Kom asseblief tog net by Charlize, Benoni is in jou bloed al verkoop jy jou mense uit!
Charlize got a ton of shit in South Africa, for saying only 44 people speak Afrikaans and that it is a dying language. It is not true, by the way. Great show!
And you know this because she told you? You do understand that she is a famous, public figure and you cant believe everything you read....right? Judgement will come right back to you.
@@Bushbaby1977 Caroline is just jealous of Charlize, so she randomly lashes out at someone complimenting her. I hope Caroline can forgive and move forward into a happier life❤
Charlize is simply unique! I sincerely admire her. She's extremely smart, brilliant, and seems super funny... ❤ Not to mention, she is absolutely gorgeous.
Afrikaans (UK: /ˌæfrɪˈkɑːns/, US: /ˌɑːf-/)[4][5] is a West Germanic language that evolved in the Dutch Cape Colony from the Dutch vernacular[6][7] of Holland proper (i.e., the Hollandic dialect)[8][9] used by Dutch, French, and German settlers and their slaves. Afrikaans gradually began to develop distinguishing characteristics during the course of the 18th century.[10] Now spoken in South Africa, Namibia and (to a lesser extent) Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, estimates circa 2010 of the total number of Afrikaans speakers range between 15 and 23 million.[note 1] Most linguists consider Afrikaans to be a partly creole language.
I give one thumbs up to the favorite guests, though these three deserve 100 every time 🍻 (80% up and 30% down, if lameO harder to hear than my educational shameO)..
Are people really so insecure that they'll get offended if you don't stop and fall over how wonderful every possible reference is? I'm thinking of when you mentioned Chicago. SMH It's annoying at some point and gets in the way of flow.
Charlize, jou poes. Ek is ook een van daai 44. Jy en Jacob Zuma het seker wiskunde by dieselfde skool gehad. Kom by poppie. Ek bly in Namibia en selfs hier, praat meeste mense Afrikaans, selfs die swart mense.
Lol you guys need to do a podcast after looking at the saga that was caused after Charlize INCORRECTLY SAID THERES ONLY 44 PEOPLE SPEAKING THE AFRIKAANS LANGUAGE WHICH IS THE 3RD MOST SPOKEN LANGUAGE IN SOUTH AFRICA. AND IN ALL SCHOOLS ITS ENGLISH AFRIKAANS AND ANOTHER LANGUAGE.

These guys together is pure gold.
Charlize, has the best laugh of anyone. I had to play the toilet- laugh 32min in multiple times. So stinking funny.
I live in Australia and I’ve noticed that a mom and grandmother co-parent team is a very common family system.

When Sean said that thing about Bombshell, I remembered that I had the same feeing… that I was watching Megyn Kelly and not Charlize.

I can’t believe I just discovered this podcast. I’m so excited. Please please please throw up the whole video version though.
Fantastic interview!

Describing how Charlize looks was like watching a tv chef describe how their dish tastes.
I wanna be Charlize Theron when I grow up.😉She is one of the most talented actresses ever.
😂 I just laugh cried
Hahh I did also, in this one
As someone that has had the privilege of being backstage proudly working on "Afrikaans is Groot", this broke my heart.. Aggenee Charlize 🤦🏻♀️ 🤥

You have absolutely no clue. She's hated by her own race. She even donated to a communistic political party that hates the white people.

This woman is nuts. She is NOTHING like the sweet, innocent person she pretends to be.
Tell us more, John, sounds fascinating
She 's a grown woman, "sweet innocent person" doesn't strike me like her trademark. Have you seen any of her work? Oh, une cravate = a tie. 😊
You guys missed out asking her about the 10 minute fight scene in Atomic Blonde! Amazing.
