I am raising my first flock of guinea fowl as of this past spring. I have 20 and love them dearly. I plan to greatly expand my flock. These birds are awesome.
The variety of color patterns on your birds is simply beautiful. A designer would have a field day just looking at the gorgeous combo of colors naturally provided.
@@Windsingerful I'm an artist who hasn't created anything for 2 years, but this has made me think again.. Respect to you Brother I kinda feel the same about those vibrant colours
@@paulkelly873 LOL…I’m a woman 😜, but I hear you! We go through phases where we just shut down… I hadn’t made any artwork for about 3 years….but finally have started back up again! I’m experimenting with dot painting now, so these beautiful birds are truly turning my creative impulses up! Just let it flow without judging it…you’ll find your way back into your own expressive river again!
Love seeing the birds together, so beautiful. Never had guinea fowl eggs I don't think anyone in Gambia raises them. I can imagine the pleasure you guys get just watching and raising them.
This is my favorite vlog. I luv seeing the birds all living and eating together. 😌 But I must admit that the ducks are my favorite and watching them swim in the pond. It's a beautiful place and life you guys have out there. 🥰💖🌞🌺🌻🌻🌻
Very interesting! They make me think of Zebras, who are wild - and unlike horses, they don’t take well to bit and bridle. But if you respect their nature, the Guinea fowl will cohabitate with you. And their finely spotted feather pattern is quite lovely, too!
This video was very enjoyable and interesting.People can learn a lot on how these birds live in unity socialy and looking out for their fellow fowl.I am just wondering there are so many of them when they are released in the morning to roam about how many of these guinea fowl do you have? Continued success 🌹
Greetings Vim Man and ES, We love you both. The birds are increasing. It looks like you're going to need to make some more feeders and some steps inside the cement pond for the small birds. Be blessed and prosperous.
I live in the Midwest and it gets extremely cold, snowy and icy in our winters. My Mom lived in a condo complex which ironically had a pet Guinea Fowl that no one knows where it came from, it just appeared! My family grew to love that bird. Everything that you noted about the Guinea Fowl personally is on point! I have and adult disabled brother that would feed it un-popped popcorn kernels which it loved! Everyday at 5:00pm she would come to the porch and proclaim her hunger time. Eventually we noticed that she didn’t come to eat for about a week. Soon I discovered her carcass outside the gate. My family and I was soooo sad! She was part of our family. 😭😭😭😭
This entire project, and the way it is shown, is just incredible work. Amazing. The lesson about Guinea Fowl is "off the chain." The other video showing Vinman herding the Guinea Fowl was incredible. You two are killing it. God Bless ya'll. ua-cam.com/video/FVgsKUJIC4k/v-deo.html
So wait...these guinea fowls can co-exist with Chickens? Wow, that I didn't know. I can see you have ducks too. Great job E.S. 👏🏾👏🏾I wanna try guinea fowl eggs now.
In the Caribbean we have them and they are domestic fowl we don't eat them but the eggs and my grandmother used to say it protect the yard they are spiritual birds and you don't come in the yard if you are fake because they will kill you! They are very wicked in the yard to protect and stick together! They are watchmen! It's a lot about them. I grow up with them! The eggs are small and could be colored too and hard shell! They don't mess with the other chicken 🐥
They are actually very large birds significantly larger than chickens but smaller than turkeys when fully grown. These ones are still young birds. I may be helpful make more feeding troughs and bigger chicken coop because guinea fowl numbers so much and they are all likely to grow into a size that a smaller turkey is. So better to plan ahead.
They don’t grow that big because they are sold seasonally. They do not hold them that long because the meat will become extremely tough. I’ve never seen a full size Guinea here.
They have feeding troughs inside the coop. They are eating the chickens foods and are being extra when they leave out. Also it’s just good filming. Remember everything isn’t as it seem. 😎
@@DIYHOUSEANDFARM You know Africans don't mind tough meat, there may be other reasons they are sold when young. in Nigeria I had walked past a couple of fully grown ones just walking around a neighbourhood they almost the size of turkey maybe about 80% as big as a turkey.. They were pretty chill, did seem afraid of any stranger. Maybe their adults are mores domesticated and less untrusting of strange humans.
Mmm.. I've been reading some of the reactions and I must admit that the Brother is correct in his observations This has confirmed my theory that it is Humanity that has moved away from Naturality. Even the natural birds and animals have common habits and behaviour that play out for the Greater Good. When we People return to Nature, the animals will be waiting for us (NOT necessarily to be eaten tho... lol,) I think you have made an important Breakthrough in domesticating and understanding the Guinea FOWL tho. so UP!! X
If you cut the wings, the predators will catch them. Guniea need to have their feathers to fly away from harm. If you feed them from hatchlings, they will always return back to you. Best to have bigger land to pasture feed once they reach about 3 months. They produce more eggs when they are free to fly.

Thank you VimMan and ES for that in-depth exploration of the guinea fowl 👍🏾

This is a great Video on this yard Bird. Is there a Pecking Order in this breed?
Yes definitely. They split into smaller groups during their pasture explorations. It’s quite interesting.
@@DIYHOUSEANDFARM Thank you for responding. We have 7 Cornish Cross Hens. I have one that's bullie for true.
Mr Vim Man 👑 TOGETHERNESS makes sense but for these beautiful ginny fowls what are your plans for them?
Every Region in the north has it color so I am told
Very beautiful and natural rural life as it should be in africa.Dont forget to save seeds which are real seeds not commercial hybrids.
You must be new here. ☺️ Welcome. 💕
How do you guys trim all bird’s feathers because those birds are much???
We don’t trim their wings.
🥰🥰🇬🇭🇬🇭
So beautiful
Can you cut guniea fowl wings to prevent them from flying,

Best to have bigger land to pasture feed once they reach about 3 months. They produce more eggs when they are free to fly.
How you train them not to run away
🤑🤲😙🤭🤗
Be blessed baby and get done what you need to get done during the rainy season
How much land do you need to have ten or 15 of them?
I’ve seen about 30 within a small single story compound. They didn’t have much space but were there looking for insects.
@@DIYHOUSEANDFARM Thanks!
Your land looks as if it have iron , or copper in it
Yes Ghana has over 17 billion metric tonnes of iron ore reserves and the north is not an exemption.
