    As long as the action taking place on the eastern side of the Dnieper...it is not Russia 'capturing' towns and villages. They are liberating them.

    • @JosipRadnik1
      @JosipRadnik1 6 місяців тому +3

      "East of the Dniepr" is a bit too much of a generalisation. Its more kind of L-shaped - going from the regions around Charkiv in the north down to Mariupol and then westward along the coast towards Cherson and finally up to Odessa. Regions close to the coast and close to the russian border are very much Russia friendly. The further you get inland to places like Dnipro and such its more of a mixed bag. You might finde more Ukranians who - while being ethnically russians - still oppose the russian "invasion"/"liberation"/"occupation" (take your pick) tooth and nail. That's the beauty of Victoria Nulands contribution to history: there is no clean way out of this mess.

      Inflation is a thing because the minimum wage in the US is an actual slave wage. 7.25 an hour can't rent you an apartment, can't get you the proper amount of food, and less so can it get you healthcare. If you are an adult and you get paid 7.25 an hour you are literally living under poverty. it's not inflation, it's greed.

    Although issues exist that can blow up. I am very optimistic about the US in most ways. My biggest concerns are societal polarization and corruption at the government/elite levels that leads to to higher income/wealth inequality and more promoted polorization in society as a way to attempt to keep attention off the inequality & corruption issues. If we can keep corruption at the top and wealth/income inequality managed I feel very optimistic about the US in the short, medium and long term probably too.

The cycles you mention have been largely cribbed from more academic works that did the analysis better; the institutional cycles from Strauss & Howe’s generational theory and the “investment” cycle is a poor replication of Arrighi’s work “the long 20th century”

    We have issues with polarization in society and in politics. Since 2008 for the political and 2011-12 particularly for the societal. I believe that’s mostly purposeful but it can get out of hand. Trump and his MAGA followers have proven to be dangerous if Trump does not win but I still see that as a fringe group. Even though Trump has roughly 50% popular support most of those will not cause instability and are not supporting any type of anti elections rebellion. Can there be some protests that get blown out of proportion by media? Yeah that’s likely.
    We do need to work on some things.

    What they are doing in Ukraine is called money laundering!! These politicians then take their cut of the money and invest it while they are doing this they are actively destroying our dollars value. They will squeeze every last drop they can out of it and then switch to a digital currency then they will sell their investments they gained from crushing the dollars value to regain their wealth back in the new currency. Why else have they let this debt grow in such a way?? Because they don't care they where never going to pay it back lol that's why!!

    One of the best, if not the best, video you have made. Most of your comments about the USA situation are aproximately valid for the European Union, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, it is to say "the Collective West". So, this it is not a USA problem, it is a problem of the Occidental Capitalist System. On top of that, the conflict in Ukraine is just a piece of the overall conflict between the Occidental Capitalist system, the "Collective west", with any other proposal or possibility for social organization (think about the conflicts in Africa or Middle East, for example). On the other hand, I would like to remember you that the USA is not "America": "America" is Canada, US, México, Central America and South America. My congratulations for your cideo.
