Yes you can use with Audacity. I don’t have cubase, so can’t tell about it.

I have a different model minus the level indicators and the 3 red slider controls, just the vanilla V8 you have used in other videos.
Is it possible by pressing the "Electro" key to change the pitch of the "Background Track" to match a singer's vocal range? I am informed by the lady advisor that the Electro key at each press changes the pitch from B to C to C# to D to D#, etc, but I did not notice the pitch of the background track actually change at all.
Am I doing something wrong, have I missed any step?
Pitch adjustment, you as a singer will agree is such an important feature.

Great review! Does this have some sort of noise cancellation feature built into? For context, I am planning to connect a speaker box (not a headphone) along with a microphone and some background music. Much like a live karaoke. Would this cause a noisy feedback loop?
Thanks. I can’t see a noise canceling on this unit that I have. For karaoke set up, yes connecting a big speaker is ideal. Just use a long cord or extension on the microphone so it’s not close to the speaker as it will feedback.
Questions:
1.what condenser mic are you using?
2.does it work with v8s or you have it connected somewhere else?
3.what condenser mics do you recommend for v8s soundcard that has noise reduction for untreated rooms?
It’s an electret condenser mic which does not need an external Phantom power like bm 800 mic. That comes in a set in this video. Mic is connected directly to the v8s. Most of the bm800 mic should work. Sorry I’m not expert on good kinds of mic.
Does this have phantom power for condenser mics?

You can lower the music from the source itself (from the phone, tablet, iPad where the music is coming from) or the music volume knob of the v8s.

If you already tried setting the tape or record volume up and still won’t record all the effects then Most likely it’s the adapter issue. Even if you follow everything, if you’re using the wrong adapter, you will only hear all the effects but will not work for Recording or Streaming. I got my adapter from Apple Store
how you connect your recorded audio? i tried but my iphone did not record it with effecrs

Thanks Jenuds great job in teaching how to do this, I am a singer and have never had any professional recording done with sound effects like echo and reverb etc. I just ordered this unit from Amazon after watching your wonderful video, one question can some how the out put be connected to a home audio receiver or amplifier to listen to on big speakers your singing live infront of an audieance once you have connected your microphone and song or kareoke you want to sing over, Kindly respond if you know how to do this and what gaget is needed as output to the amp or have to connect the computer or PC to the amplifier etc. Best Regards Asaad from NJ, USA.

I'm not sure if I'm getting what you mean. If you meant you can hear from your headphone but no audio on the recording, yes that is possible. First make sure TAPE or RECORD volume is on high. If you had set it on high and still no audio recorded, then most likely it's the phone adapter issue. I bought of my USB C and lightning adapter from the apple store coz adapter I bought somewhere else did not work.

I charged it just now and it took about an hour but it wasn’t lowbat when I changed it. So I can’t really tell you how long exactly it’ll take. When you get it, you can use it right away. But if the sound card has zero battery then you have to charge it first before using. It has a built rechargeable battery so you can use it without the cord connecting to a power source.
I have this v8s with a condenser mic . Do i need an auxiliary cable to connect my pc and speakers to the condenser? I'm confused😅
Use the micro usb to usb type A to connect from v8s charging port to your pc. Select v8s as your input and output on the pc sound setting. Now you can monitor the audio from the v8s - to can connect headphone or speaker from the v8s
18:20 I think monitor would always be on and that's actually turning it off. Monitor let's you hear the processed sound
Right Monitor is always on provided Monitor volume slider is up. Turning on or tapping the Minitor Button which also mean turning off the audio from the mic and background music just for the host but both audio will still get recorded.
Do I need to have another device other than my phone to get the sound card working/to hear my recording and the effects. Right now I only have it connected to the phone. Are the headsets and iPad a must to be connected
The other device is the source of music. If you don't need a music you can use 1 device only. IF you use Starmaker or Smule you can use only 1 device. To monitor the audio, connect it from the V8S. In this video, I used the iPad as a source of music
In V8s for condenser mic do we need to use XLR to 3.5mm jack to connect? Since im purchsing both separately i need to know that.

It depends on the mic. There are condenser mic which are corded with 3.5mm jack. Please note not all condenser mic works like Rode NT1A, Shure SM7B. BM 800 condenser mic works

The Record volume knob is the volume output of your recording or streaming. If it’s low your recorded audio output will be low as well and vice versa.

Not all android phones are compatible. You may try first connecting from live 1 or 2 off the sound card to the headphone port of your phone. The rest would be same connection as in this video.

Hello. Do you need to have a phone to use AS WELL as an iPad or can you use just the iPad. Is the phone only used to create a visual video. If you just want to record sound, you only need the iPad?
You can switch them. You can record a video or audio only to phone, iPad, tablet or laptop.

So far there is no denoise button on this unit. The manual does not say if it has built in Denoiser.

Connecting to a laptop, use the micro USB from the charging port of v8s to your laptop - usb type A.
So I just got my V8 Sound Card, my only issue is that when I am recording, I cannot hear myself using the headsets, but I can hear effects, also, I use Audacity, so the effects don't record onto audacity. I'm not sure where I'm doing something wrong here but I can see the device work perfectly
All the audio - your voice and effect or sound effects from the sound card should be recorded to audacity if you used them. Make sure connection is properly plugged in. Make sure to set the sound card as your mic and speaker in the audacity.

Hey, I'm having this problem where I hear myself through my headphones, and I mainly just wanna hear my desktop audio. Is there anyway to not hear myself while using the V8S soundcard?
Unfortunately there is no turning off monitoring on most of these sound cards. You always hear yourself.

I am very late but I'm hoping you see this... are some android phones not compatible at all? Ive watched all your videos.. downloaded the open camera app... NOTHING is recording anything from the soundcard.

If your BT adapter connected with your wireless headset, then it should work. But if you’re connecting a BT headphone or BT speaker, you will need a BT wireless transmitter.

I have not used this for a long time yet. Yes you can plug while in use but sometimes it causes buzzing sound or like an electrical interference.

Since I can't do live streaming yet on tiktok, have you tried increasing the Recording volume or Accompaniment volume. You can also increase the volume from your tablet.

No matter what I do, the sound effects overpower my voice if im talking during them playing. An idea what could be the problem?
Have you tried lowering the echo?

Sorry to hear to hear that. That could be defective or you could be using a third party app or audio software producing that effects. So far my V8 and V8s once echo is at zero cals is flat with no reverbaration or echo.

I can’t tell you yet coz I did not use it yet for a long continuous time. The longest I used it was over an hour and still has battery life in it.
