I owned a Prima Sankyo silver sonic that Jack Goosman sold to my teacher and who I bought it from. I wish I still had that flute too but sold it to buy a Jack Moore flute which was and is wonderful too.
When I got my Silver Sonic Sankyo, my technique and tone made quantum leaps in quality. I had not played in 7 years coming from a stuffy Gemeinhardt and was blown away.
It's such a game changer to have the opportunity to play a handmade flute for the first time!! A joy to have a flute that helps you instead of holds you back ❤️ go Sankyo!
I was one of the first to play one in Canada: bought new July 1976. A solid silver flute that was strangely also silver plated. After a few years, the plating started to separate from the underlying silver tube which was disappointing.
I love my sankyo! Happy to see such enthusiastic technicians!

28:00 " wrapped in glitter and you can throw it really far" love that, so descriptive Josh lol 😂
Josh, this is how I feel about flutes also!
(And I'm also a fellow clarinetist for the same reasons)

I bought it in 1981.
