Deb. You are a genius! I’ve had so much trouble with making various units and failing. My confidence was shattered! I’ve watched a lot of your videos and a light bulb went off. I’ve even shown my children because they’ve watched me get upset with every project. I’ve now put in an order for templates and technique sheets and a magic wand ❣️I can’t wait for them to come in. Thank you so much! Marci from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
I have just added 2 more of Deb Tuckers tools to my armory. They are brilliant and take most of the frustration out of quilting. Thank you for such precise videos on how to use them.
I LOVE this ruler (and all your others.) I just completed a mystery quilt where the designer had us use folded corners to make this component. (And HSTs for everything else, including flying geese.) Never again! I had to do a lot of fudging to make everything fit and wasted a lot of fabric that I could have used for the border. If she'd said "We're making diamond squares; use this color in these positions and that color in those positions" I could have used your ruler and had everything fit perfectly. And I'd like to add how perfect I find your videos. No time-wasting shots of you sewing or pressing, just the meat of "how to use this ruler." Thanks!
Hi, Deb. My friend and I really enjoyed your presentation at the Des Moines APQS quilt show. It was so informative. I am an intermediate level quilter and have made a lot of quilts and look forward to making many more. Your tools are the best I have ever used. So helpful. Genius! Thank you. I know I will be purchasing more tools in addition to the Clipped Wings and the Half Square triangle tools I purchased. I used the Half Square tool to create a chevron patterned baby quilt. It is turning out fantastic.
I believe that you are talking about the same tool. We just changed the name as the tool Square 2 was a math reference and caused some confusion, so we updated the name to Square Squared (written out). So if you have the original tool it works the same. I would suggest watching our Tips and Tricks episode Square Squared and Beyond. Can be found on the Square Squared playlist. This video explains the differences between the original and updated tool. But they function in the same.
Hi Deb, I purchased the Squared Square 1/2 ruler. My pattern is calling for a 4.5" unfinished square. Did I buy the wrong one, I keep coming out with a 5" square after trimming ..
Hi Jerry, for a 4 1/2" unfinished you need the regular Square Squared. The Square Squared half-inch units finish in the quilt to 1/2" increments so measure on the cutting mat at whole inch increments.
No, it does not. You can make the center square any shape just make sure to trim it with the window templates before you add the side triangles so that it is sized correctly.
Deb, love all the rulers I've tried of yours and these UA-cam videos, Thanks! Thinking of getting this one and have a quick question - although I'm cutting triangles, I'm never sewing on the bias, correct?
Hi Deb, What happens when you have a square that will measure 4 !/4 in. will this tool work or do you have a different tool that works for this size square in a square? Love your videos
I just love these tools. My piecing skills have exceeded my expectation. THANK YOU! Love the videos to help me succeed😊
I am so glad to hear that the tool and the videos are helping you succeed.
Loving this tool!

I am so glad that I have been able to help you enjoy quilting. I hope that the tools give you the results you are looking for.

Thanks again Deb! I just picked this one up today and can't wait to use it. I love all of your rulers. So happy to reference these videos too.
Have this one getting delivered tomorrow! and already the leymoyne star ruler, very good and accurate!
Thank you Deb, guess it can be used for snail trail, right. Can you do a tutorial using that ruler for that block ?
I actually do have a video on making snails trail style of blocks right here: ua-cam.com/video/_e-Gkrh11yU/v-deo.html
Please help. Is the Square Squared 2 an updated version of the Square Squared Original tool, and does it function the same as the original?

Hi, Deb, Does it matter if my center square is a four patch?
No, it does not. You can make the center square any shape just make sure to trim it with the window templates before you add the side triangles so that it is sized correctly.
Will the Corner Pop tool work like the Squared Squared tool?
