'아셀라 앙상블'은 4명의 첼리스트와 1명의 콘트라베이시스트로 구성되어 있다. 히브리어로 행복, 기쁨 이라는 뜻인 '아셀'과 시편에 나오는 '목소리 높여 찬양하라' 라는 히브리어 '셀라'를 인용하여 아셀라의 이름을 가지게 되었다. 뛰어난 개인기량과 풍부한 감성으로 활발히 활동중인 단원들은 국립경찰교향악단에서 군복무를 하며 만나게 되었다. 국내외로 다양하게 활동중인 젊은 연주자들로서 현재에 만족하지않고 세련된 음악과 군생활을 함께한만큼 환상적인 호흡과 하모니를 보여주는 음악가들이다. 또한 선교자적 사명을 가지고 각자의 달란트를 통해, 복음의 씨앗과 열매를 풍성히 맺으며 쓰임받기를 소망하는 믿음의 동역자들이다.
'Ensemble Aselah' consists of four cellists and one contrabassist. The name of Aselah was made by two Hebrew words. In Hebrew, 'Asher(אשר)' means happiness, joy and 'Selah(סלע)' means to praise with your voice which often appears in the Psalms. These young talented musicians firstly met and gathered while serving in the military service from Korean National Police Orchestra(For Korean men, 2 years of the military service is mandatory). All the members are now performing actively at home and abroad with their great individual skills and beautiful, soulful sounds. They Aselah show sophisticated music, fantastic breathing and harmony as they shared quite long time in the military. They are also partners of faith on a mission, wishing to be used by the Lord to bear fruits of the gospel in rich through their talents.
