Romeo was my favorite WR comin out of college. I found out about him on an accident lol. Him and Carson Strong was nice.

Early in practice, when our Tight End Luke Musgrave and our Running back AJ Dillion ran into each other on a screen, and Jordan Love’s short floater carried over Luke Musgrave’s head into the arms of Quay Walker for an interception, it was fair to wonder just how Jordan Love’s 1st day might go. But no worries. In a subsequent 11-on-11 period, Jordan Love connected with Jayden Reed on a crossing route, and then with Christian Watson on another crosser on 3rd down. He handled a low shotgun snap and whipped a sidearm throw over the middle to Romeo Doubs. Then he recognized an unblocked Karl Brooks on the pass rush soon enough to get away and find running back Josh Jacobs for a nifty checkdown. The biggest highlight, though, came at the start of a 2nd attempt at the 2-minute drill (after the 1st one stalled out). On the opening play, Christian Watson got a step on cornerback Eric Stokes on a go route, and Jordan Love’s deep ball was right on the money for a 47-yard diving catch that elicited the loudest cheer from the Nitschke Field crowd thus far in training camp. Jordan Love finished the drive with back-to-back completions to Luke Musgrave and then a 10-yard touchdown toss to Romeo Doubs, helping the offense get its mojo back after some rough days against the defense. On the sunday clip, they called that doubs catch an Offensive PI but also if u look closely it wouldve been a sack which gets me even more hyped for the defense

Wicks is my pick for #1 WR too. He convinced me last year
I love Watson but that INT was on Watson 100%. That route running can be done by my 13 year old son. Watson needs to set Stoke up with speed and make a break on that route sooner.
Watson struggles against guys like Stokes who also have blazing speed and can keep with him. His pacing and overall route running isnt great so when he cant win with speed hes kinda dead in the water. That being said, most teams dont have a corner as fast as Stokes so Watson will win a lot with his speed alone.
The big thing for me with Watson will be to see if he's more aggressive with contested passes. There were a few ints last year that I feel could have been catches , but he never contested them. I will be the first to admit some of those were under thrown by Love, but with his height, he should have more aggression going for those. Hopefully, he stays healthy and just gets better with more reps.
Watson has so much potential as a wideout but I would like to see more effort put into his routes, I understand this is practice so it might be .5 speed but I would love to see him excel in the NFL

Damn I projected Watson go step up big this season looks like he might be our 5th or 6th guy running routes like that. Yes it’s practice but now is the time to earn the starting spots at receiver I expect more from him. Our other receivers look amazing along with this new defense. So stoked for the 2024 season go pack go

Watson can ease his hamstrings into the season lol. As long as we can get like 8 or 9 games where he's fully healthy, I'll be happy.
I need at least 12 to be okay with it. 16 would make me happy. He’s gotta be healthy to keep his opportunities because others are already becoming fan favorites and he’s gonna become the odd man out. I’ll be honest, when I think of this Packers WR room, I think of Reed, Wicks, and Doubs…in that order. He’s becoming an afterthought, at least to me. Idk how you feel, just my observation.

Thanks for showing the clips Bas. Another guy who I have heard has been making some nice catches in practice is Grant Dubose. WR, TE, RB the Packers look deep. We have our QB. Need to get the O line playing like they were at the end of last season and the offense is going to put up a lot of points Like the way the D is forcing turnovers and getting pressure.

Dont be. The defense is just really good this year and finally has a scheme to properly utilize the players strengths. Theyre gonna make a lot of offenses look bad this year.
Iron sharpens iron, my friend. I don't think the offense has too much to be concerned about. It's pretty much the same team and we know who we have, outside of rookie additions which are pure gravy.
They will be fine. What you should worry about in our D living up to the hype

IIRC, Tyler Davis had a few good plays on offense as a rookie. Then he tore ACL. Him playing well on offense so far doesn't surprise me.

Who is the #1 receiver in Green Bay? I think it will depend on the game and game plan. If the defense shows they are trying to shut down one WR, expect the others to take advantage. After all, there are at least six, and perhaps seven WR's who could be major contributors on another team. Reed's moves reminded me of Davante Adams, who was said to have "sudden, violent feet" when he was taking off on his routes.

I feel like we really haven’t heard much of anything in regards to Watson making an impact in camp. Hope he turns whatever is going on around because with him and the rest of this receiving core, we could definitely be a top receiving unit in the league

I’m fine with Watson if he’s injury prone somewhat as long as he’s dominant the way we’ve seen. But the lack of hustle lately from him is unacceptable. Control the controllables and effort is one of them. Can’t effin have it

Watson just isn’t consistent enough which is a shame cause we’ve seen what he can do. I get he’s been injured so hopefully the S&C he’s done helps that. It’s time for him to shape up or ship out in my opinion and these lazy routes in practice don’t do much to boost confidence in him.

No doubt that Stokes interception was from Watson going half speed! Watson could be trying to save his hamstring but if you're the coach, it's tough to kepps a guy that is constantly injured and now if he's not going all out that makes it even more difficult!
If I may.. if you want to dramatically increase your subscribers, go ahead and back up about 8” from the camera. You want to see face, shoulders, and basic hand movements. Stay in that zone, and watch your numbers grow. You’re doing great work, and I want to see you succeed further

Where was Doubs during the season when Watson was injured ? Everybody expected him to step up and be that number 1 but he didn't, he popped off during the cowboys game but his season had been disappointing, I love Romeo but people to remember the full context not just the second to last game.
