The min 6 is by far the best size for any iPad, period, the reason is that iPad designed to use by hand, and anything larger than this size wont be comfortable using by hand. Simple as that, moving between elements on the screen even on 11 inch is tiresome , left alone 13 inch, so the point is to make a much power as possible to put into mini size, will be the best practice, and I wish Apple just focus to make iPad for this mini size instead of larger device, it just makes no sense going larger. , even with MacBook, 13 inch would be ideal, 15 inch is just waste of space. So many website can’t display or display terribly with 15 inch size.
I’d have to disagree unless you have small hands the 11inch IPad is nearly perfect, the iPad mini is too close to the size of a pro max phone .watching videos on a mini is less enjoyable and the original iPad was 9.7 screen size with a bigger bezel it’s comparable to the 11inch because of the thin bezels on that and watching anything on the oled display is amazing. Idk who the mini is for but the demand is nowhere near a 9.7-11 inch screen sizes it’s practically replacing MacBook airs with its power and size and ability to use as a tablet
@@Lee-fe4vw yes , the pro max phone makes also no sense, no extra features to ultilise the extra screen, it's just really bulky, difficult to hold and carry. no extra multi tasking. No. The 11 inch is best overall, 13 inch is for people who want bigger size screens for illustrations, drawing, photo, and video editing and gaming if you love bigger screens.
I got the 13" pro base model. I love it, does it do a lot more than any other ipad? no. I would not get the nano texture even if I needed the storage, the glossy looks amazing.
I have the iPad mini 6 and bought the 2024 11 inch iPad Pro. I am loving it. I use it as a second screen on my MacBook Air when using Blender for animating.
I used to have an iPad Pro 11 and 12.9 and last year “downgraded” to the mini 6. I use it as a consumption device to complement my M1 MacBook Pro 14”. Agree that the mini pro would be great with an improved screen. The screen resolution, clarity, jelly-roll, are the only major drawbacks for me. I hear that the 2026 mini will have a slightly larger screen and improved screen.
I as well tried using my iPad Air 5 as a complete Laptop replacement until I ran into websites that Safari couldn’t manage properly. I thought the Pro 11 M4 was going to be a dream device to replace the mini along with the 11 M1 but it didn’t. Sadly, Apple eliminated the keyboard folio and the Magic Keyboard was just too heavy for me. I’m going to continue rocking the 11 M1 and see how that goes.
Because of software limitations, there is almost nothing the m4 iPad pro can do, that my ipad 9 can't also do. Same apps, I use the Logitech touch keyboard, and 1st gen Apple pencil. I don't see much "pro" about this iPad other than the m4 chip inside it.
The 120Hz is unfortunately locked to the Pro models which means, if you've used any type of modern device with a normal refresh rate screen, using 60Hz is just not feasible.

I have ipads for years and honestly they become useless after a few months of excitement because I always use my laptop. The problem is I want a laptop in desk mode and a tablet in tablet mode. Apple will never give us OSX on iPad and honestly Stage Manager is horrible. I used my Dad's Tab S9 Ultra the other day and I am thinking "Now that's an all in one, especially because it has Dex which is good enough for someone who just wants to create word and excel and read emails and consume content.
