1- don't open a bar business (8 out of 10 fail eventually), 2- don't settled on one girlfriend and move her in with you right away (and don't get marry), 3- don't buy a condo (condos depreciates like a new car in Pattaya), 4- don't live on a budget that you can't afford in the long run, 5- don't disrespects the Royal Family.
No 1 , Don't put all your eggs in one basket farangs that sell up everything back home and move to the promised land usually hit a wall after five years and end up busted ass broke and end up on skid row .
Good one. Yeah did it years ago say what say now live thailand home in the country alot older one thing is understand thai culture and also you take control love thailand. And also I stop drinking been 4 years feel great my wife can see the change we get on great
i came here in November for 10 days i came back 5 days later and i live here now i love it i have made some great thai friends i have met a lovely lady we live together now in a nice condo i always watch your channel you give some good advice alot is spot on. i have been to the buzzing lounge a few times hoping to bump in to you but always seem to miss you lol lived here 10 months now best thing i ever done is moved out here.
Concerning point #4, In 2011, I went to Pattaya for my first 4 week stay. Went to a village (because of a girl of course) to stay with her and her parents. Absolutely horrible experience where mosquitos treated my body as their own personal buffet (shocked I didn't get dengue fever), slept (for maybe an hour or 2) on a hard floor, disgustingly saw papa slaughter a pig and served a part of the pig I had no interest in eating (but ate and later threw up due to "saving face"), and having to take a dump in a hole in the ground outside in the dark (was scared to death that a snake would rise from the hole and bite me in the butthole). Me and the chick ended up going our separate ways as I insisted on spending only 1 night there and getting the hotel room as soon as the sun came up. She said I would insult her family by doing that and I didn't give a crap and left. Haven't been back to a village since. Do I sound like a western snob? Of course I do, but truth of the matter is that as an adult, I have never had any desire to visit or stay in the poor areas of America, so why the hell would I want to do so in Thailand? Once was enough for me. I've been staying in Central Pattaya every year since and have been very happy doing so.
lol a real eye opener that I had a Similar experience in another country and was shocked at how poor these people live I slept in a bed that must have been used thousands of times and was sunken in the middle it was so hot and sweaty at night and the dogs lol they had dogs everywhere tied out in the open on rope and the barking kept me awake all night I was completely exhausted and worn out - but the people where wonderful friendly and I was made very welcome
Been watching your videos for a long time now and they've gotten better and better. Great job! Have made multiple trips to Thailand and they've helped me out immensely.
Been To Phuket 2 times in the last 1.5 years and you and another youtuber have helped me so much. Still made a couple small mistakes but knew it as I was doing them. CHEERS mate from California.
A) It's like walking into a candy store. If you want to try all the sweets you will end up diabetic. B) You didn't come here to change the world, you came here to have fun, don't forget to smile often C) Remember is not love ..IS JUST BUSINESS WITH A SMILE
1 piece of advice from a guy I know who has been visiting the land of smiles for around 30 years now he said - 'you will fall in love with the city - but NEVER fall in love with the girls !' Best advice ever! Regards David
Exactly spot on it’s an entertainment business, took me about a month to clear my head after the last visit. Way more clear now.... but gee if you need to get motivated and feel uplifted it’s a great place for it, just keep real to your self.
I was in Pattaya once back in the mid 80's when I was in the navy. My ship pulled in for a week. Absolutely loved the place, I was in my early 20's then. I was stationed in Subic Bay at the time so I was well familiar with all the bar girl tactics. Actually wound up marrying a bar girl from the Philippines and have been married to her for 37 years. Always tell myself that if anything happens to her or she boots me out, I'm headed straight to Pattaya. Of course at 60 years old now it will be at a much slower pace and like the gentleman in the video says, I won't be falling in "love" with the first bar girl I run into. My approach would be one night stand then on to the next girl. Guys on the ship I was on brought their wives to Pattaya, I was like "Dude, that's like bringing your own sand to the beach."
"Keep it Real" is the best advice you can give. Great video, I just checked out your website too and very impressed with the amount of info. An astonishing "entertainment" city that I've been visiting for 20+ years now and never ceases to amaze me. Pattaya never dies. Great job.
1. Don’t sell your property in home country- rent it out 2. Don’t buy a condo just rent 3. Don’t marry 4. Don’t fall in love on first date and don’t have girlfriends moving in. 5. Don’t lend money 6. Don’t buy a bar 7. Don’t get involved with drugs
Great video again. Very informative. Well done on your ongoing weight loss regime. You can see it on your face. I’m on a regime myself and you have given me encouragement.
Hallo trevor, i have listened your youtube video for the last 4 years. I just came back from Pattaya from 2 weeks vacation. Thanks to you i avoided most of the scams and tricks from ladies and stores.
I met a girl who worked reception in a hotel back in 2010. Went with her to the village near Surin a few months later. Was a brilliant experience. Drove over 2000kms across Issan and saw some amazing things. Even nipped across the border to Northern Cambodia.
My first trip was at 23... It's life changing! I've spent 50% of my time there (Other parts of Thailand) since (For 12 years) and wouldn't want it any other way. I'd definitely recommend going young rather than waiting to go post divorce at 50 etc. Pattaya isn't my first choice as a place to live but as a place for a few weeks each year with friends, it is the greatest place on earth! Good video!
being here longer term the beauty of every night being a saturday night is i can choose 1 night a week or fortnight to go out & enjoy myself (week night or weekend) most nights im content to stay in my condo, do my work online, have a couple of cold beverages & watch sports matches online etc. during the day i like to stick to a routine of daily exercise walking along the beach & that is 7 days a week without fail, everything is best enjoyed in moderation 😌
I was in Pattaya in may met a girl, really liked her…. I went home , came back to Pattaya in august hooked up with her. Many disagreements mainly about jealousy on her and my side…. She now lives in Laos I sponsor her and I’m in love!!! How many red flags? I take each day as it comes and I’m very happy , looking at her face I believe she is too. I can see a future with her so tread carefully, only time will tell if this will work…❤
Your story does kind of sound like you are a sponsor…..not saying this to upset you but is it possible she has other sponsors currently or is working in a bar?
@@KieranWxm I don’t believe she has other sponsors, she is terrible with bank accounts and says I’m the first person ever to pay her like this!!! Who knows? Baby steps at first, the worst that can happen is I stop paying…..
Wise words, Trev👍As we all know, this vid could easily be '40 things to be aware of'. I've been visiting Pattaya since 2011. Pity there wasn't UA-cam walkarounds, guidance, advice, do's n don'ts available to view 12 years ago. Back then, I used Google maps and TripAdvisor reviews to research accommodation, bars, restaurants and nightlife! Newbies should be thanking you, making life easy for them!😂😂😂 Keep up the great work.
Fully agree on the number of attractions. + the boating, from own dingy sailing to chartering a yacht or just a join a day cruise on a sailing yacht. Not on the cheap side, but if you spend money on bar girls.. you will go back with memories. And indeed, never use taxis, always Bolt. Cheaper, faster and better drivers.
Just came back from Thailand a few days ago and visited Pattaya for the first time in august and I love the city, it's not really for a younger man such as me and had some odd encounters but I was there with my uncle and he knew people there. But I agree that the city does overwhelm your senses when you are there for the first time and I avoided any real problems except for a woman in her late 40's who liked younger men who kept chasing me everytime I walked by a certain bar that shall remain nameless.
Spot on trev, they call new york the city that never sleeps, but i think pattaya is the city that never wakes up! It's a place in a perpetual dream world. The drinking thing why not have lots of soft drinks and have the odd beer here or there, it will help you have much better conversations and not make a fool out of yourself. Respect others 100 percent and that includes bar girls they offer services but they are not property they are human too. We would not treat a taxi driver or landlords who work in the service industry disrespectfully, so respect bar girls. Ladyboys if you like them treat with them respect if your not into them Try have some empathy for them and the condition they was born with its not a easy life. And they have as much a right to a good life as the rest of us. Blessing guys!
Trevor what you didn't mention is it's addictive and it's life changing . Onece you have been to Pattaya the first thing you will do when you get home is book your next trip. I came out for the first time at 30 years old and it changed my life. Now I'm 47 and all I do when I'm in England is work for 3 months at a time and then come back. As for the girls you are 100% correct. It actually took me 13 years before I found a good one! But one thing I'm not proud to admit is in 17 years and the 50 + times I've been to Pattaya is the furthest away from Pattaya I've been is koh larn island.!
Darren you are spot on i have never known anyone who has been to Pattaya and never went back the next year people keep telling me to go to another country but i cannot i am addicted the greatest city in the world for a single man.
I was in Big C supermarket last time I was there (July) and got chatting to a girl stacking shelves, she asked if I wanted to meet her later for 1000 baht - I don't get that servie in my local Aldi in UK 😆🤣
My advice is to feel free to pace yourself on the drinking. If your like me and by the time drink 3 rolls around and your feel real good, keep the feeling going by slowing down, go ahead and drink something non alcohol. If your buying LD's, no one will mind at all. Secondly, remember the girls are as human as you. If your keeping your girl for fun trips to Koh Larn or just day time cite seeing, and you do this for days, she MIGHT get a little bit attached. And then if you have them on day four or five and now you want to be alone or try new company, she is not going to like it. It could be drama you didn't need. There is something we call the three day rule, if it goes over three days, you might be getting more drama than you need. I never go over 2 days any more because of the drama. If they leave some stuff behind in your hotel room or air BNB apartment, she didn't forget it. She is marking her territory and you have her thinking she is coming back tonight for sure. When you use the words you want her to leave most of the time she will storm off and leave you alone. Tip 3, try to not go and bar fine someone else from her bar that very night. Try not to do that.
Good video Trev I was there in July and I was shocked at how much the bar fines have increased and what the girls are now charging to me they are pricing them self out
A married friend of mine told me he’d never pay for sex when I told him I’m heading the Thailand. I responded by telling him I wouldn’t pay for what he gets either 😂😂😂
So passionate Trev , you can see from the episode that you did when someone cancelled, you have been putting the record straight ! If I could afford it id be there in a heart beat, again going through a divorce so I’m fleeced ! But it’s a place that offers everything and for the lucky ones that can go I wish them the best of luck , love your show , keep up the good work ❤️🙏🏻
Great advice. I was a Phuket person though. Met some great people that gave similar advice. I did fall in love but found someone special, NOT a seasoned bar girl (although have nothing against them at all). We are still married 14 years later with 2 children. Oh, and love Rayong. I always stay there on my trips back.
Great video Trev. Wish I had more opportunity to speak with you while I was there but you are a busy fellow. My visit was one of my best experiences. Got to do about half of what was on my list to do and that's fine. Just got back to America and somewhat depressed about it. I plan to return and eventually retire in Thailand. The food was incredible and met some great people, including Ian, who was one of the nicest people I met while in Pattaya. He really made me feel welcome.
Great call on the research. One thing everyone should look at is whether certain Thai holidays will be observed during their visit. The very first time I was staying in Thailand, I was laying over in Bangkok on my way to Siem Reap. Two nights, one day. Spent hours researching BKK. Best places to stay combined with where I should go and what I should do, etc. Get to my hotel at 7pm for my first nights stay and there is a sign at the desk saying tomorrow is the last day of Buddhist Lent and that all the bars and some restaurants will be closed! Needless to say all my preparations, at least for “nightlife”, were out the window. Went to the closest bar and pounded them down. Now, if one is coming out for more than a couple days, the holiday closures can give them the time to do the side visits you suggested. Just an additional thing to look out for when visiting.
I lived in Thailand for about 2 years to teach English and Math. I was in my early 30s. I love Thailand - the people and the culture. I learned a lot while I was there - great experience! I did drink a lot and eat a lot - also love Thai food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, etc..) I loved the nightlife and felt safe for the most part - I was cautious but relaxed. Had a lot of fun and I can say from personal experience it is so true what Mr. 'Buzzin Pattaya' stated - "Everyday is a Saturday night". It gets addictive to go out because it's so enjoyable interacting with the Thai people, etc. Reflecting back, I'm tempted to live there again but would have to be more settled. I'd love to be a Digital Nomad there and live somewhere that is not as busy, relaxing, and is close enough to a city if I need to. During my time there I lived in Songkhla, Surrathani, and Chiang Rai. I really loved Chiang Rai and the North. I did grow tired of the heavier tourist areas but still loved the liveliness of BKK! Everything you said is accurate! All the Bar Girl etiquette is 1000% true. I do have to say if you're staying for awhile, it's a good idea to meet a nice girl out of the bar scene to keep away from the negative aspects associated with it. As I stated, the bar scene could turn into an addiction because Thais are so charming and pleasant to be around. Definitely have to find a balance if you stay there for the long term, even for the short term. Regarding Pattaya, when I was there it had a very negative reputation for obvious reasons. Personally, it was too much for me because my impression was a ginormous brothel! I had a friend who came to visit me that was a straight laced Marine. He told me that he was going to Pattaya and I immediately advised not to go. He then told me he has a friend that owns a bar there. So I thought he was in good hands. Within a day of arriving he texted me saying he needs to get out of there!....LOL. Also, I used to read the BKK Post everyday and there seemed to always be an incident reported. The most memorable one I read was that locals were setting up traps for farang on motorbikes to clothesline them with wire. Very scary. Perhaps these days it's different there? Unfortunately, I was involved in an unforeseen incident in the South. Back in 2006 there was an insurgency attack in Hat Yai and luckily I took a little shrapnel in my arm - could've been much worse. I was very lucky. Nevertheless, I'd return because I love Thailand so much!
After 20 years i still love Thailand and especially Pattaya but prefer to stay in jomtien . Walking along Pattaya,s coconut bar last night I thought I was transported to the Black Hole of Calcutta observing three or four Indians negotiating with a single Thai lady why do they do that? Even My Thai lady friend commented.
So glad you mentioned about seeing the sights , I was always wanting to ask about them , as I’d probably be the one out and about exploring, as you said the place isn’t going to disappear ! Brilliant channel ❤️🙏🏻
I first went to Pattaya at 43. A couple months shy of 44. I personally think that was too late. I think if you have issues with women and can sort out money then come as early as possible but just be smart about it. I've had an amazing 8 years of Pattaya but I still regret I didn't come sooner
Trev, good advice is to use the girls heartbreak stories to your advantage, I met a bargirl in the wonderful bar on road 2 who told me she hadnt been home in 2 years (Laos), so I said I'd take her, I got to visit a new country and live in a village up the mountains for a week, great craic and only cost me 100 baht as a courtesy to her mother, I was treated like Borat (King of the castle) and the first farang they ever saw, my face was touched a million times 🤣🤣
Well, that's fine if you plan on having a more serious relationship with her but if you plan on dumping her straight afterwards just bear in mind she will lose face big time in front of all her friends and family if she has introduced you to them all as her boyfriend/potential husband.
I've learnt alot since l was in Thailand back in June and July this year .And trev l love watching 👀 your videos and telling people what Pattaya is like 👍
Hey brother, I’ve been watching many videos from UA-cam vloggers in the last six months, and yours keep my attention more than the other channels. Not that the others are bad, but I love it that you talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly about Thailand. I am 62 years old, and on the verge of putting in my notice at work and retiring. Would you be up for a 1:1 chat sometime to talk about my fears about moving to TH? Willing to pay you for your time. Thanks! -Ross
Its a "bussiness", up until the point that you want to barfine a different girl from the same bar that you barfined from before. Then the "business" rules go out the door.
Trevor, another great video which should help people with their planned trip. I was in Pattaya in June and loved it, and it was my first trip to Thailand. I normally spend my my time in The Philippines, but I am coming back to Thailand next year with the serious thought of doing some travelling around the country more. And you’re looking good mate 👍
Another fantastic video Trev, I had my first trip in July 23 and was overwhelmed, it was like going from the most unpopular guy in school to the most popular guy overnight🤣 . Coming back in May 24 !!
Trevor I know you’ve done this video before...But it’s great that you do it again👍 like a refresher first aid course.... Needs to be done every 6 months 😊
Only been watching the channel about a year and find all these videos informative. Also good to see tou looking well on the fat to fitty, always good to see someone knuckle down and see the results. Stay lucky
I really agree on the culture part. One of the most fun parts of travelling to other countries is learning about other cultures and cuisines. Also I get really annoyed when tourists and immigrants come to my own country (Sweden) and disrespects our culture and values. I try not to do that myselft when I visit Thailand.
Timing is great point. I first went out Thailand Phuket, in 1998. Didn't return until I was 39 in 2014 in Pattaya. Now done the last 9 years of trips. Pattaya is a truly amazing small city. Ive been to Ho Chi Minh, walking street there lacked the same soul, fun and good times of Pattaya. Great advice in video BTW
Good advice. Yeah, when I lived in Asia I saw some guys go overboard. Meaning mostly with the women. It’s a candy store for men. Some guys that had never been to Asia before went crazy. They had many girls. But then they got into trouble. Becoming suckers. They fall in love too fast. Become vulnerable. Be smart. Use your brain!!! Not what’s in between your legs. At least not so much. What’s in between your legs can be put later. But first you use your brain! Remember, like what was mentioned in this video, it IS a business. It’s ALL about the money! It is. Be smart. Careful.
Do not make the mistake in traffic, if somebody flashes his frontlights to think it means that he give way to you / let you go first ! It means the opposit: Make way and go byside
Very sound advice. Though I still don't quite understand the popularity of Pattaya, I found it to be just too much. It is the Jezebel capital of Thailand.
I agree with everything you said. Mostly, I agree with RESEARCH! When you come to Pattaya, you need to realize that you ain't in Kansas, Toto. The things you said about learning which things are respectful and disrespectful are spot on. There are ebooks available for a mere pittance on Kindle, in addition to videos on UA-cam that can show everything one needs to know. It can make a good holiday experience a great one. Great video, Trev.
“Keep it real”, nice and simply stated. I have gone to Thailand numerous times and many years and spent lots of bills, partying. Its a rush. Just like a drug. Totally fun but at the end of it, you’re right back where you started. Now I have become wiser and pumped the brakes. Finding a compatible girl, and enjoying the night at a relaxing pace is much easier. Mentally, physically, emotionally and of course financially.
I didn't fall in love my 1st time and definitely won't the 2nd time. I enjoy the variety too much. A veteran Ex-Pat told me my 1st day in Pattaya that you pay the girls to leave not stay
Having been to Thailand several times the advice and info on what to do and not to do is spot on in fact excellent keep posting your blogs sir looking forward to my next trip
I went to a village near Sakon Nakhon, so basic life but everyone so happy, kids no real toys or technology, but all you can hear is them having fun all day. got woke at 5am everyday by hundreds of chickens lol
Advice I give to travellers to Pattaya is along the lines of your #1 point, MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR TIME THERE. I was there in April and fell ill with a fever and sore throat. After 2 days in bed I still wasn't 100% but I pushed myself to get out of bed because I knew if i'd spent 4 or more days in bed on a 2 week holiday I would regret it when I got back home.
You sure about the floating market Trev? You are right. So many great places around Pattaya. I went to Bangkok for 3 days, went to Buddha mountain, big buddha, Koh Larn, Tiger Park, Chinese Museum. I reaĺly tried to embrace it and it was amazing.
In Pattaya for two weeks, especially in the early visits there is NO WAY I would even want to waste one minute travelling to a dump like Bangkok or Rayong, I can not think of a bigger waste of time mate, but each to their own. As for the islands, sure when you've been to Pattaya 5 or 6 times and you want something a bit different, yeah, but only when you have a girl you want some 'quality time' with for a few days to get it out of your system.
@@Buzzinpattaya You can guess that if you like Trev, but you would be completely wrong mate. I just think they are dumps, and 1 hour of a holiday spent in Pattaya is worth 20 hours spent in either of those places
In other words: Don't leave your common sense at the airport at home, don't drink every single day and ask yourself the following question: Would you date a prostitute that you met in a brothel at home? if the answer is no. You wouldn't do it in Thailand either. Better be too careful, than scarred for life. The ironic thing is that a Thai girl actually liked when I said: I'm just a normal guy. Not trying to impress anyone, and I'm just enjoying life. She then told me that so many men lie to impress.
Great videos. There are always people just learning about Thailand everyday. Everyone says these things will never happen to them yet it continues to happen everyday in Thailand.
Good advice. And yes, check out the rest of Thailand if you can. I think for practical reasons, one might schedule routine dental care or get an eye exam/glasses there. MUCH CHEAPER than western countries and good quality work. Very convenient. I saved a lot of money getting new glasses and dental cleaning my last trip. Another thing. HYDRATE. Keep your electrolytes up because you will sweat. Just hydrate it helps. And yes, research. It made my first trip much easier. As for relationships. Remember this. You can take the girl out of the bar, but it is hard to take the bar out of the girl. Know many stories. That said, Thai ladies are pretty wonderful and there are very many ladies who don't work in the bar who are open to meeting new people. Be respectful. Good info in general.
I am off on Sunday I paid for a Housemate and he agreed 50/50 . I paid for his ticket and he said he will pay for hotel. Then he disagreed to pay and then I said OK you pay for food transportation and booze he agreed then disagreed and now he tells me he has no money at all. Its too late to cancel his ticket and room . I don't want him to leech off me throughout the 2 weeks holiday. I am really disappointed in him.
Go on your own you’ll have a fabulous time! Don’t let him Ruin your time. You will Find like minded people If you want to interact or do your own thing or a bit of both. I did my trip one month on my own I had a fabulous time . I booked first few nights and then found somewhere and booked Longer. It’s pretty easy and I haggled 👍👍
I appreciate the advice but, after a toxic career, where I managed not to kill someone, but now happily retired. I am fine with just kicking it in my beach front Condo. Worked all my life so I can get up out of bed, whenever I want, No clocks, no deadlines or appointments; walk wherever I want, strike up a conversation with a 20 something fine ass babe and get some tail. The fact that its a business only adds to my happiness. Sure I keep well groomed and in relative good shape for my age and money; money is for the babes. And I spend it on them like its nothing because, im happy with the arraignment's.
I rent because of the freedom that comes with it. After retirement, money is no longer a problem. Given the circumstances with it all.. @@marksallai2289
Great honest advice. The biggest problem is alcohol, if you control that ( which is hard in Pattaya / Bangkok ) you have 75% less chance to fall into all these traps as mentioned rightfully by Trev. The people I have experienced over decades in Thailand and lost it completely were 100% heavy drinkers, they lost their health, and their money ended up in jail, and had constant girlfriend problems. Nondrinkers or controlled drinkers run into problems too, however, their reaction is different. They learn from it, whereas a daily heavy drinker "never seems to get it". " Your problem is not the problem, your reaction is".
Trev , your advice is great , sometimes buddy you can’t help buddy ,i I first came out in 2003 with a friend who was looking for a wife , he was a work colleague, I wanted a holiday so he persuaded me to come to pattaya ,I hadn’t heard of the place before ,my travels before where la in the usa. And mainly Europe. ,Trev ,pattaya blew me away, I met the girl and had 9 year relationship,, unfortunately her greed got the better of her and we visited thailand in2014 with her having health problems, buddy , she spent the 60000 baht enhancing her breast size , how stupid did I feel, needless to say Trev , we are no longer together
I've never been to Thailand - With all the drinking that goes on .... Does it often kick off at kicking out time ? Like it does on a Saturday night in most city centers over here ?
Yes it does but not necessarily at kicking out time, there are lots off very violent and dodgy characters around but it's a different place away from the bars.
I have been going to Thailand on and of for 25 yrs and I havent seen it all yet and am an explorer the country is vast many different areas offering many different experiences.
There are more actors and actresses in Pattaya than Hollywood and Bollywood combined. Treat the place like you’re on a film set. Brad Pitt doesn’t go falling in love with every actress he works with.
Brilliant, i hope 1st timers take onboard what you are saying,my girlfriend was a village girl,no shops no bars 10 miles from the Mekong river, malaria hotspot, absolutely beautiful place to live

Hey i wonder can i contact you directly about one question that keep me thinking all the time
1- don't open a bar business (8 out of 10 fail eventually), 2- don't settled on one girlfriend and move her in with you right away (and don't get marry), 3- don't buy a condo (condos depreciates like a new car in Pattaya), 4- don't live on a budget that you can't afford in the long run, 5- don't disrespects the Royal Family.
Good advice. Rent everything.
Gotcha
No 1 , Don't put all your eggs in one basket farangs that sell up everything back home and move to the promised land usually hit a wall after five years and end up busted ass broke and end up on skid row .
Wise man ‼️‼️
Do second hand condos depreciate? Wouldn't that just be because the general property market is on a down trend?
Don't fall in love with literally the first bar girl you meet. Its amazing how often this happens!!😂😂❤❤❤
Haha so true
Good one. Yeah did it years ago say what say now live thailand home in the country alot older one thing is understand thai culture and also you take control love thailand. And also I stop drinking been 4 years feel great my wife can see the change we get on great

I met a Thai woman in a bar 24 years ago. We are still married and have an 18 year old son together. I had no money when I met her.
Brilliant mate love this and fair play
I'm American-Thai....You buddy, are a rarity. It does happen. Not very often tho imo

Wow thanks mate
Been To Phuket 2 times in the last 1.5 years and you and another youtuber have helped me so much. Still made a couple small mistakes but knew it as I was doing them. CHEERS mate from California.
Hope you had a great time mate thank you
... I guess nobody minds if you name other YTs. Hope it's Daz from EP and not Dan

1 piece of advice from a guy I know who has been visiting the land of smiles for around 30 years now he said - 'you will fall in love with the city - but NEVER fall in love with the girls !' Best advice ever! Regards David
Love that
Fall in love but be as sensible to fall out love as quick maybe ))
@@007heaven not so easy my friend for some men .
Went to Pattaya in 1989, never again. Been to Thailand 20 times since, but never back to that cesspool.
Not a fan then lol
Exactly spot on it’s an entertainment business, took me about a month to clear my head after the last visit. Way more clear now.... but gee if you need to get motivated and feel uplifted it’s a great place for it, just keep real to your self.
Cheers mate
Thank you for the information I really enjoyed your talking, I have been watching you for over a year now cheers 🍻
Awesome, thank you!
Wow nice one mate
"Keep it Real" is the best advice you can give. Great video, I just checked out your website too and very impressed with the amount of info. An astonishing "entertainment" city that I've been visiting for 20+ years now and never ceases to amaze me. Pattaya never dies. Great job.
Cheers mate much appreciated
Maiby wear a wedding ring? 😊
1. Don’t sell your property in home country- rent it out
2. Don’t buy a condo just rent
3. Don’t marry
4. Don’t fall in love on first date and don’t have girlfriends moving in.
5. Don’t lend money
6. Don’t buy a bar
7. Don’t get involved with drugs
Gotcha

Great video again. Very informative. Well done on your ongoing weight loss regime. You can see it on your face. I’m on a regime myself and you have given me encouragement.
You got this!
Great video, thank you for your sincere guidance.
You are so welcome
Hallo trevor, i have listened your youtube video for the last 4 years. I just came back from Pattaya from 2 weeks vacation. Thanks to you i avoided most of the scams and tricks from ladies and stores.
Glad you had a great time mate
I met a girl who worked reception in a hotel back in 2010. Went with her to the village near Surin a few months later. Was a brilliant experience. Drove over 2000kms across Issan and saw some amazing things. Even nipped across the border to Northern Cambodia.
Thanks for sharing
Love your videos and advice. I'll be there in a few weeks after a 15-year hiatus. Looking forward to it.😍
Man that's some changes
Great advice. I plan to visit hopefully next year and see different cities. Thank you
Nice one mate
My first trip was at 23... It's life changing! I've spent 50% of my time there (Other parts of Thailand) since (For 12 years) and wouldn't want it any other way. I'd definitely recommend going young rather than waiting to go post divorce at 50 etc.
Pattaya isn't my first choice as a place to live but as a place for a few weeks each year with friends, it is the greatest place on earth!
Good video!
Nice one mate
Your girlfriend has a bulge in her pants and a voice like a bloke
being here longer term the beauty of every night being a saturday night is i can choose 1 night a week or fortnight to go out & enjoy myself (week night or weekend) most nights im content to stay in my condo, do my work online, have a couple of cold beverages & watch sports matches online etc. during the day i like to stick to a routine of daily exercise walking along the beach & that is 7 days a week without fail, everything is best enjoyed in moderation 😌
Spot on mate
I was in Pattaya in may met a girl, really liked her…. I went home , came back to Pattaya in august hooked up with her. Many disagreements mainly about jealousy on her and my side….
She now lives in Laos I sponsor her and I’m in love!!!
How many red flags? I take each day as it comes and I’m very happy , looking at her face I believe she is too.
I can see a future with her so tread carefully, only time will tell if this will work…❤
😂😂😂
Your story does kind of sound like you are a sponsor…..not saying this to upset you but is it possible she has other sponsors currently or is working in a bar?
Fair play matr
@@KieranWxm I don’t believe she has other sponsors, she is terrible with bank accounts and says I’m the first person ever to pay her like this!!! Who knows? Baby steps at first, the worst that can happen is I stop paying…..
Update….. yes she took me for some money and is now working again!!!!
I know I know what you’re all thinking…😂😂
Wise words, Trev👍As we all know, this vid could easily be '40 things to be aware of'.
I've been visiting Pattaya since 2011. Pity there wasn't UA-cam walkarounds, guidance, advice, do's n don'ts available to view 12 years ago. Back then, I used Google maps and TripAdvisor reviews to research accommodation, bars, restaurants and nightlife! Newbies should be thanking you, making life easy for them!😂😂😂
Keep up the great work.
Thanks for sharing
Fully agree on the number of attractions. + the boating, from own dingy sailing to chartering a yacht or just a join a day cruise on a sailing yacht. Not on the cheap side, but if you spend money on bar girls.. you will go back with memories. And indeed, never use taxis, always Bolt. Cheaper, faster and better drivers.
Cheers mate
i went the first time at 25,im 54 now.i dont regret any of it.
Nice one
Just came back from Thailand a few days ago and visited Pattaya for the first time in august and I love the city, it's not really for a younger man such as me and had some odd encounters but I was there with my uncle and he knew people there.
But I agree that the city does overwhelm your senses when you are there for the first time and I avoided any real problems except for a woman in her late 40's who liked younger men who kept chasing me everytime I walked by a certain bar that shall remain nameless.
Thanks mate
Lol thanks mate
Haha true mate
I was in Big C supermarket last time I was there (July) and got chatting to a girl stacking shelves, she asked if I wanted to meet her later for 1000 baht - I don't get that servie in my local Aldi in UK 😆🤣
Lol
Gotcha mate
Good video Trev I was there in July and I was shocked at how much the bar fines have increased and what the girls are now charging to me they are pricing them self out
Yeah a lot has increased sadly
A married friend of mine told me he’d never pay for sex when I told him I’m heading the Thailand. I responded by telling him I wouldn’t pay for what he gets either 😂😂😂
Hahaha brilliant mate
So passionate Trev , you can see from the episode that you did when someone cancelled, you have been putting the record straight ! If I could afford it id be there in a heart beat, again going through a divorce so I’m fleeced ! But it’s a place that offers everything and for the lucky ones that can go I wish them the best of luck , love your show , keep up the good work ❤️🙏🏻
Cheers mate
Great advice. I was a Phuket person though. Met some great people that gave similar advice. I did fall in love but found someone special, NOT a seasoned bar girl (although have nothing against them at all). We are still married 14 years later with 2 children. Oh, and love Rayong. I always stay there on my trips back.
Fantastic mate nice one
An aussie told me on one of my 1st visits about 20 years ago. Aways treat the girls with respect. Followed this and never had a problem.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us mate much appreciated and look forward to your return
Some REAL gems here. Great video!~
Cheers mate
Yeah good shout that mate
This was a great video, Trev. Thank you.
Very welcome
I lived in Thailand for about 2 years to teach English and Math. I was in my early 30s.
I love Thailand - the people and the culture. I learned a lot while I was there - great experience!
I did drink a lot and eat a lot - also love Thai food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, etc..)
I loved the nightlife and felt safe for the most part - I was cautious but relaxed. Had a lot of fun and I can say
from personal experience it is so true what Mr.
I do have to say if you're staying for awhile, it's a good idea to meet a nice girl out of the bar scene
to keep away from the negative aspects associated with it.
Used to love the north, but air quality is soo bad at times. Last time, we were happy to get back to the cleaner air of Bangkok.
Thanks for sharing your experience
@@johnlowell5905 Isn't it the opposite? I was in the far North - Chiang Rai. At least when I was there it was the opposite.
Nice one mate
So glad you mentioned about seeing the sights , I was always wanting to ask about them , as I’d probably be the one out and about exploring, as you said the place isn’t going to disappear ! Brilliant channel ❤️🙏🏻
Cheers mate
I first went to Pattaya at 43. A couple months shy of 44. I personally think that was too late. I think if you have issues with women and can sort out money then come as early as possible but just be smart about it. I've had an amazing 8 years of Pattaya but I still regret I didn't come sooner
Gotcha mate thank you for sharing
Great advice Trevor!
Good to finally meet you at the Buzzin Lounge Sunday!
Thanks mate much appreciated
Nice one mate

Hey brother, I’ve been watching many videos from UA-cam vloggers in the last six months, and yours keep my attention more than the other channels. Not that the others are bad, but I love it that you talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly about Thailand.
I am 62 years old, and on the verge of putting in my notice at work and retiring. Would you be up for a 1:1 chat sometime to talk about my fears about moving to TH? Willing to pay you for your time. Thanks!

Hi mate, go for it, you only live once. Drop me an email 247pattaya@ gmail.com happy to answer any questions you have
Its a "bussiness", up until the point that you want to barfine a different girl from the same bar that you barfined from before.
Then the "business" rules go out the door.
Haha batten down the hatches
Trevor, another great video which should help people with their planned trip. I was in Pattaya in June and loved it, and it was my first trip to Thailand. I normally spend my my time in The Philippines, but I am coming back to Thailand next year with the serious thought of doing some travelling around the country more. And you’re looking good mate 👍
Cheers mate
Great information about coming to Thailand 🇹🇭 😁👍📹
Glad you enjoyed it mate thank you
Another fantastic video Trev, I had my first trip in July 23 and was overwhelmed, it was like going from the most unpopular guy in school to the most popular guy overnight🤣 . Coming back in May 24 !!
Hahaha nice one mate
Well said again as always . Cheers !!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Trevor I know you’ve done this video before...But it’s great that you do it again👍 like a refresher first aid course....
Needs to be done every 6 months 😊
Thanks again!
Only been watching the channel about a year and find all these videos informative. Also good to see tou looking well on the fat to fitty, always good to see someone knuckle down and see the results. Stay lucky
Cheers mate much appreciated
I really agree on the culture part. One of the most fun parts of travelling to other countries is learning about other cultures and cuisines. Also I get really annoyed when tourists and immigrants come to my own country (Sweden) and disrespects our culture and values. I try not to do that myselft when I visit Thailand.
Cheers mate
Uk get it lots too , it's weak and disrespectful 😤, people get on alot better with simple manners and respect then much more fun for all
Bogans from Australia are up there too with many of the lads from Brit
Don’t deserve the privilege of foreign travel - cheers from down under
Timing is great point.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us mate much appreciated
Good advice. Yeah, when I lived in Asia I saw some guys go overboard. Meaning mostly with the women. It’s a candy store for men. Some guys that had never been to Asia before went crazy. They had many girls. But then they got into trouble. Becoming suckers. They fall in love too fast. Become vulnerable. Be smart. Use your brain!!! Not what’s in between your legs. At least not so much. What’s in between your legs can be put later. But first you use your brain! Remember, like what was mentioned in this video, it IS a business. It’s ALL about the money! It is. Be smart. Careful.
Cheers
Thanks For Your Info It is Really Appreciated Every Bit Of knowledge to us Foreigners Is a Real Asset Cheers...
It's my pleasure
Do not make the mistake in traffic, if somebody flashes his frontlights to think it means that he give way to you / let you go first !
It means the opposit: Make way and go byside
Yeah well said
Always good advice, thanks Trevor, love it when you do the ride arounds,
Thanks mate much appreciated
Very sound advice. Though I still don't quite understand the popularity of Pattaya, I found it to be just too much. It is the Jezebel capital of Thailand.
I get ya mate
I agree with everything you said. Mostly, I agree with RESEARCH! When you come to Pattaya, you need to realize that you ain't in Kansas, Toto. The things you said about learning which things are respectful and disrespectful are spot on. There are ebooks available for a mere pittance on Kindle, in addition to videos on UA-cam that can show everything one needs to know. It can make a good holiday experience a great one. Great video, Trev.
Cheers mate
lol pattaya is the biggest brothel in the world - thats why i love it
Haha
“Keep it real”, nice and simply stated. I have gone to Thailand numerous times and many years and spent lots of bills, partying. Its a rush. Just like a drug. Totally fun but at the end of it, you’re right back where you started.
Now I have become wiser and pumped the brakes. Finding a compatible girl, and enjoying the night at a relaxing pace is much easier. Mentally, physically, emotionally and of course financially.
Cheers mate
well done, mate! Congratulation!
I didn't fall in love my 1st time and definitely won't the 2nd time. I enjoy the variety too much. A veteran Ex-Pat told me my 1st day in Pattaya that you pay the girls to leave not stay
Cheers mate
Having been to Thailand several times the advice and info on what to do and not to do is spot on in fact excellent keep posting your blogs sir looking forward to my next trip
Much appreciated
Wise words Trev, i wish i had known all of this 25 years ago.
Thanks mate
Went to your bar last week few times - lovely staff and very clean and cozy
Coming back to Pattaya in 10 days again - will meet u there
Thanks for sharing your experience with us mate much appreciated
I went to a village near Sakon Nakhon, so basic life but everyone so happy, kids no real toys or technology, but all you can hear is them having fun all day. got woke at 5am everyday by hundreds of chickens lol
Cool
Advice I give to travellers to Pattaya is along the lines of your #1 point, MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR TIME THERE. I was there in April and fell ill with a fever and sore throat. After 2 days in bed I still wasn't 100% but I pushed myself to get out of bed because I knew if i'd spent 4 or more days in bed on a 2 week holiday I would regret it when I got back home.
Hope ya fully recovered
@@Buzzinpattaya amazing what a couple dozen San Miguel Lights can do. 😉
One night I talked to at least 5 different girls in different bars and they all said they were 37 years old and had worked in the bar for 3 months 😂
Lol
You sure about the floating market Trev?
You are right. So many great places around Pattaya. I went to Bangkok for 3 days, went to Buddha mountain, big buddha, Koh Larn, Tiger Park, Chinese Museum. I reaĺly tried to embrace it and it was amazing.
I happened the night after I finished shed editing, markets back open on Tuesday
Lol guess you've never been to these areas as there are so cracking places to visit
@@Buzzinpattaya You can guess that if you like Trev, but you would be completely wrong mate. I just think they are dumps, and 1 hour of a holiday spent in Pattaya is worth 20 hours spent in either of those places
Great advice Trev. Thanks for the vid mate 😊🤝🙏
No problem 👍
Great advice points Trev. Keep up the good work.
Thanks 👍
I can't hardly wait until I get over and see this place Trev. Really good advice. Cheers all 👍🍻🇬🇧
Thanks mate
In other words: Don't leave your common sense at the airport at home, don't drink every single day and ask yourself the following question: Would you date a prostitute that you met in a brothel at home? if the answer is no. You wouldn't do it in Thailand either. Better be too careful, than scarred for life. The ironic thing is that a Thai girl actually liked when I said: I'm just a normal guy. Not trying to impress anyone, and I'm just enjoying life. She then told me that so many men lie to impress.
Gotcha mate
Great videos. There are always people just learning about Thailand everyday. Everyone says these things will never happen to them yet it continues to happen everyday in Thailand.
Cheers mate
Cheers mate
First trip to the village is unforgettable!
Find a lady you are comfortable spending time with and just go there.
Indeed mate
I am off on Sunday I paid for a Housemate and he agreed 50/50 . I paid for his ticket and he said he will pay for hotel. Then he disagreed to pay and then I said OK you pay for food transportation and booze he agreed then disagreed and now he tells me he has no money at all. Its too late to cancel his ticket and room . I don't want him to leech off me throughout the 2 weeks holiday. I am really disappointed in him.
Go on your own you’ll have a fabulous time! Don’t let him
Ruin your time. You will
Find like minded people
If you want to interact or do your own thing or a bit of both. I did my trip one month on my own I had a fabulous time . I booked first few nights and then found somewhere and booked Longer. It’s pretty easy and I haggled 👍👍
Wow sorry for that mate
LOL - if you can get ripped off by your housemate, just wait until these gurls get a hold of ya! (tongue-in-cheek)
Really like your show…such a great guy.👍🏼
Thank you kindly
When I go to Pattaya I'm there for a good time, not a long time 😉
Haha
I appreciate the advice but, after a toxic career, where I managed not to kill someone, but now happily retired. I am fine with just kicking it in my beach front Condo. Worked all my life so I can get up out of bed, whenever I want, No clocks, no deadlines or appointments; walk wherever I want, strike up a conversation with a 20 something fine ass babe and get some tail. The fact that its a business only adds to my happiness. Sure I keep well groomed and in relative good shape for my age and money; money is for the babes. And I spend it on them like its nothing because, im happy with the arraignment's.
Good on you mate not needing a watch or clock now that's freedom
Condo did you rent or buy which is best
Gotcha
I rent because of the freedom that comes with it. After retirement, money is no longer a problem. Given the circumstances with it all.. @@marksallai2289
So you are living his advice you just wanted to ramble on about how rich and great you are ...YAWN
Thanks for all advise. But lets have fun. I will visit end november and looking forward to it as always. Gr from Amsterdam
Nice one
Pattaya is the benidorm of Thailand
Lol
Pattaya is said to be the worlds biggest brothel without a roof
I'll 2nd that.
Cheers mate
Wow thanks for sharing
I've never been to Thailand - With all the drinking that goes on .... Does it often kick off at kicking out time ? Like it does on a Saturday night in most city centers over here ?
No mate it's all good here
Yes it does but not necessarily at kicking out time, there are lots off very violent and dodgy characters around but it's a different place away from the bars.
I have been going to Thailand on and of for 25 yrs and I havent seen it all yet and am an explorer the country is vast many different areas offering many different experiences.
Cheers
Don’t fall In love ! I’m not criticising but your married so you must of fallen In Love
Difference is I didn't fall in love in two weeks on holiday and my wife is at. Abar girl she worked in a Real Estate office
There are more actors and actresses in Pattaya than Hollywood and Bollywood combined. Treat the place like you’re on a film set. Brad Pitt doesn’t go falling in love with every actress he works with.
Haha indeed
Twenty-seven years ago I met a cheeky bar girl in Phuket. She is now my cheeky wife. It has been wonderful.
Fantastic mate
Best advice I ever had was don't buy anything in Pattaya unless you can fit it in your suitcase and take it home.😊
Haha great shout
Brilliant, i hope 1st timers take onboard what you are saying,my girlfriend was a village girl,no shops no bars 10 miles from the Mekong river, malaria hotspot, absolutely beautiful place to live
Nice one!
Haven't been, but have been to Phuket 5 times - Pattaya just looks like a Giant Patong.
Cheers mate
Entertaining and informative, keep up the good work!
Much appreciated!
