They are indeed. Their songs sound so different from all the rest, from everything I've ever heard. They're not circular themes, but they go up and down, then they turn all of a sudden... pure talent, wherever the songs come from (since K says they get into her head without notice)
Wow...so awesome! I miss the Muses...come back to Burlington Vermont, so I can see you now that I have discovered you! I remember seeing your poster on Nectars wall and having no clue who you were!
Interesting to hear this (in my opinion, better) version of the song a couple of years prior to The Real Ramona. The album credits Fred Abong as bass player but the album version's bass is pretty much a copy of what Leslie Langston plays here. Did Fred play on the album or is he credited as bass player because Leslie left before it was released?
I saw the Muses and NO at the O'Connell center in Gainesville, FL. We ran into Peter Hook at the sound booth before the show, and he told us that he had gone to alligator farm. But the Muses were the best, and that drummer, he was incredible.
Saw the Muses live in Liverpool when a student in Chester in 1990. What a top band
Wow loved them years ago...wish I could see them now!
One of my favorite T. Muses songs. Nice to see the original band with the wonderful Leslie Langston.
Yeah come back Leslie, we miss you.
They already used to play "The Real Ramona" songs back in '89 ? The album issued out only about two years later... Amazing !
Today I'm listening to this song for the first time, and today is the first day I wore a new pair of shoes - and they happen to be red!
wow, great to see. also great to see Leslie live on stage. she rules!
These were the Golden Years, definitely.

highly underrated. What even happened to the intelligent creative women of rock?!? I love Throwing Muses
Love this people! Love Kristin's gracious movements and singing too!
Wow! Love the sway! Awesome!
Quite possibly my fave TM song.
Great footage of Leslie in this vid!
The thing about the Muses is that I happened upon them by mistake. Then I fell in love with them. I miss this music a lot!
oh...my...god. awesome.
I have a crush on Leslie Langston...
She's one of my all-time favorite bassist. So under-rated.

So if Nectar's had a poster of the Muses, then Phish should have titled their album A Picture of Kristen.

aparrently she's a social worker in Boston now, I wish she'd come back to the Muses

Muses and New Order...no furgen way!

@@BaronKimball I was stationed in Jacksonville but missed this in the early 90s!
These girls are fine. But the drummer in this band, he eats off the corn of the greatest harvest.
I like Leslie Langston on bass - probably one of my favorite bass players. The drummer was amazing as well. They were an awesome unit.
Not to mention Throwing Muses don't sound like Santogold at all, in any way, whatsoever.
