Filip Miucin Plagiarized our Fire Emblem Preview (Nearly word for word, too)

  • So it looks like Nintendo Wire was another news outlet to have its content plagiarized by Filip Miucin, this time with its focus on our Fire Emblem Warriors preview (whose original author is Ben Fruzzetti) that was originally published in June 2017. This new video captures the two preview forms in a side-by-side format that helps illustrate the blatant plagiarism.

Filip Muicin isn't even his real name, he plagiarized his entire identity. Essentially a video game drama company wrote him a full script to manufacture this controversy in order to pull the greatest prank in all of gaming journalism.
In two weeks, it will be revealed that Filip Muicin is actually a psuedonym for Boomstick Gaming's brother, who also works for Nintendo Life and even made the original Neogaf posts.
Filip will then flee to Mexico to live his real life as a high ranking cartel identity flipper. His true job is to help criminals plagiarize deceased identities. It's no question that Filip is a master plagiarist, but we haven't even touched how incredibly deep his is plagiarism goes.

Oddly, it does go deeper. Apparently his actual resume is a word for word copy of a resume template. The guy doesn't have an original thought in his whole head.

Just keeps getting worse and worse.. with each new review and preview found to be plagiarized.. it makes his already horrible “apology” video sound even more like bullshit than it already did. Pretty much just lied through his teeth, straight at all of us, and to everyone of you guys who considered him a friend. He just used you guys to get where he wanted to go, but now that’s all gone for him... I can’t see how he’d ever be able to return to even his own UA-cam channel.

I don't condone plagiarism but seriously, how lazy do you have to be to not even change the structure of your sentences/ paragraphs? Like okay, he changed some words, but what stands out is the structure. If you're going to copy your review, the least you can do is get like 10 reviews and mix them up to produce a new structured review. But this guy legit just copies directly from 1 review. If you can't even plagiarise properly, what's left to do?

Doubtful. Seems to me that he both underestimates the size of the gaming community who have the time to research his past work, and the willingness/eagerness of said people to expose frauds. The fact that he has such a poor grasp of the industry he formerly was employed by and thought that he could do anything he wanted and get away with it shows he had no respect for video games or the community to begin with. Just someone who saw video games as something to make money off of for no effort.

Erik Högman Probably because of the guy who wrote the article on him. But Filip here is a total idiot, instead of owning up and apologize to Boomstic Gaming he just threw everything under the rug while blaming others for calling him out on his BS. What's worse is that he dared Kotaku to "keep digging more info about his videos" which most of them are cleary copies of other small reviewers and he thought he could get away with it. Hilariously this isn't the case

mudkip games Honestly start wherever! Most of the games excluding a few have completely separate plots and don't really require knowledge of the previous games outside of maybe getting some of the references. Right now though if you just want to try it out I highly recommend trying Fire Emblem Heroes on your phone. It's basically just bitsize FE and is a good way to get to know the basic mechanics and many of the characters from throughout the franchise. Also I believe there might be a demo for FE: Awakening on 3DS if you want to try a core game out. Hope this was helpful!

    • @polariluma

Heroes is fine to learn basics but there are quite a few spoilers to other games. FE7 is definitely the best place to start since you can play the games before or after with the same feel.
Awakening is alright too but it'll be harder to go from Awakening to previous games than the other way around. Also don't expect the marriage stuff in other games except Fates.
