Turnover is a former emo/punk band whose newest release “Peripheral Vision” is a standout release echoing a transformation in the scene itself. Like cohorts in Sorority Noise, Citizen and Superheaven, they’ve managed to transcend punk and emo stereotypes to create a unique style while building a following of fans who loved them for their original sound. The record itself has a constantly humming echo that pulses throughout. It’s steeped in 80’s reverb and textured with layers of cosmic, contemplative noise. Lead vocalist, Austin Getz’s voice is steady and optimistic but his often somber lyrics reflect mental exhaustion. Sorrowful guitars banter to one another with quick, spacey riffs while the rhythm section provides a backdrop for the song to groove in a steady clip.
Listeners who are familiar with old material are sure to be transfixed by the change; hearing remnants of old songs buried within their stark evolution. Turnover is constantly touring and have opened for bands like Major League, Have Mercy, I Am the Avalanche and New Found Glory. A diversity of tone and influence allows for them to fit within tours made of off-kilter lineups and attract fans from across the genre spectrum.

this album has been on repeat since it came out, it's amazing. so much emotion packed in it. can't wait to see them next month with basement.
Got into this band in like early 2019 (late i know) , fell in love with them, so got tickets to see them in London where im from. 24 hours before the gig the first lockdown hit and the gig got cancelled. Ill see them one day, and i really hope they play this song.

Some light reverb in his vocals yes, and also way less drums in there. You can barely hear anything in the chorus. Still the best album of 2015 for me so far.

It sounds incredible
The only problem I have with this is the vocals. The music is too clean for his vocals to be that bland. There should be some sort of a light reverb over the vocals that would mix better with the music. Otherwise, great performance. I especially loved the ending.

I mean this is shoegaze so it's hard for them to get the exact sound they want for the song. The instrumentation was pretty good for this performance.
True that, they're definitely a dream pop band and this particular performance is mixed more like an emo band should be. Which makes sense, considering this is Audiotree and Turnover used to be straight up emo. Mostly the drums should be mixed a little quieter, and the vocals need more reverb.

+Morduk Metalhead What's weird is that he has really good live vocals. I think it's that his headphone mix wasn't ideal and that screwed him up. Singers have very specific preferences as to how much they want to hear themselves (whether it be hearing themselves a lot or not at all) and if that's off it can really have an effect on their performance.
He is a little off key compared to the record, a little bit flat but hey nobody is perfect
