better buy 8 months to 10 months cockatiels so they can adapt to the enviroment and will be ready to breed when they will mature.
No you should buy 3 to 5 months cockatiel because they are good for taming

Mere cockatiel ki tail tut jati h kya karun
can you help me, my cockatiel just turned 8 weeks old (she’s a beautiful red eyed Lutino) I’m trying to figure out how to wean her completely off formula but she just continues to beg and beg and beg everytime I take her out of the cage or when she sees me. I currently have her eating a half syringe twice a day (the store owner told me when I got her a week ago that at the end of the week to give her half a syringe, or two if she really wants it). She eats her fruit pellets and sometimes picks at the millet I have in the cage for her, but her begging is non stop even with a full crop. Any help from fellow Tiel owners would be greatly appreciated!!
I see this is a year old, so I’m sure you figured it out. Babies cry a lot. Whether it’s for more food, sleepy or even just for your attention. I noticed with my baby, when my mom pays attention she screams more lol but when it’s me, I just say nope, you are fine and I will ignore it and she’ll settle down. Sometimes I even copy her and that’s funny because she gets confused and stops screaming. If you know your baby is full, I wouldn’t be concerned. If your baby is weaning, sometimes they have to be hungry a but. We started on one spray of Millet and after a few days, cut the spray in half and just kept putting her in the bowl on the bottom of the cage with the parakeet food. Sometimes, I’ll take the bowl and leave it on my bed and she’ll hop out and I’ll just put her back in and eventually she’ll eat a few seed. All about patient and being consistent. I’m 10 and feel like a tired mom, but it’s worth it. My baby is about 3 and a half months.

@@soulieelisa5772 you'll know for sure if it's male or female based on it's vocalizations! Males tend to sing more and are better at replicating sounds and speech than their female counterparts haha. Beyond those songs I mentioned, he also whistles the Adams family family theme, and actually speaks (as best as a tiel can speak). He says " peek a boo", "what are ya doing?", "hey papa", and this weird bird jibberish which literally sounds like cockatiel talk lol. He's awesome, and he even makes kissy sounds and kisses my lips when I bring him close to my face lol. And he's obsessive over me and won't let anyone, even my fiance hold him. He won't bite her but as soon as she picks him up he flies directly over to me, and I low key love that lol
@@soulieelisa5772 oh and if you do want to do the dna feather testing, don't worry, sometimes a feather will pluck when he/she preens itself, just give it time!

Hi buddy, I am having a pair of cockateil, I bought them 2 months ago. 1) they are not hand tamed, they stay away away from me 😣. And 2) they are mating 2-3 times daily but aren't giving breed. Pls help.

What did you use the dettol for!?!?!? You should not use those things around budgies at all!!!

@@ishaansaxena9534 please don't do that... It is not good for you budgie's health. They only need clean water to bath in.. Dettol can be very harmful for birds because of the chemicals

Very late but males have brighter yellow cheek and females have a more dull version, also if you look under the wings when the bird flaps if it has scale like patterns or something similar it’s a male.
