I love my Platinum. I've tried several electronic machines but ALWAYS come back to my Platinum! I like the new platinum color, it is so clean and pristine looking.

That's helpful to hear. Been on the market for a new die cutting machine. I have an electronic one that I bought as my first and I never really enjoyed it.

I like the platinum 6 better than the other die cutter I have, which is electronic…I always had problems with the sandwiches…the universal platform is great…so much easier

I love my Platinum 6. This new one is pretty, but how is it different from the 6?

I love my platinum so much I bought one for a friend while on vacation in Florida. When I got home and opened the box and I was so surprised to see the cutting plates were the small ones that are used in a platinum 6. When I contacted Spellbinder they basically didn’t do anything about it. Their comment was that Hobby Lobby is no longer selling Spellbinders products and have reduced the price to clear. My issue is why would Spellbinders package the Platinum with the small plate in the first place?…….. I asked them to do the right thing and send me a set of the large plates, customer service was not very accommodating at all.
I’m very disappointed to say the least.

Would LOVE to see a magnetic platform insert and outlined plates like the Betterpress be made for the Platinum! When I saw this that is what I was hoping! Hopefully in the future you can figure out how to make one work! It is the bomb!

My first three machines (one was the large machine in a Raspberry color-that’s how long ago it was) were Spellbinders, and they each broke so quickly I was scared of ever buying another one.
Yes it was many years ago when they first came out, and I bought at a scrapbook convention. But I was unable to get any help from the company.
I imagine whatever changes they made since have improved the functionality of them - so many crafters love them. I don’t know if I would ever trust buying one again. I see so many are so happy with their Spellbinder machines, but I have a hard time trusting after that experience and also getting years of satisfaction from using a different machine. I still love Spellbinder company for everything else.

Geesh...that's remarkably uncaring for a Spelbinder's customer to incur. It should indicate on the box
that this larger machine...is coming with smaller plate set...I cannot understand Hobby Lobby doing
their own packaging.. I can't picture it... Is it specified with contents? Wouldn't Hobby Lobby have to
document somehow that this is their packaging? Honestly...I'm bewildered. :( * Big Shot has done this..
sold their larger machine with small plates w/o customer being told of this....incredibly misleading &
      disappointing...and costly to customers.

Thanks for you input, I’m so disappointed about this. I just don’t understand why I should even need to question this.

With arthritis in my hands, I would lile an updated electric machine. Are so many new plates really necessary, thinking of the cost.
