      @@LMF2020 I'm not a big room guy but the rooms at this resort blew me away. They are massive and the in-suite jacuzzi is awesome. That said, the food at Maria Petrona and drinks a Le Mejorada are fantastic. Overall, this is one of my favourite resorts. Have a great time.

      Hey @josedejezus thank you for stopping by the channel and watching my video tour of the Hilton Playa del Carmen. Yes, the restaurants are included in the price. The only exception is Chef's Plate. This restaurant has an elevated menu and is a fully immersive dining experience. The chef prepares a custom menu for guests each evening using fresh and locally sourced ingredients. All other restaurants are included. How is the seaweed issue? trying to decide going to Cancun or booking this hotel in April for spring break.

    • @SunnySouthVacations
      @SunnySouthVacations  10 місяців тому

      Hey @darleneracine1609 thank you for stopping by the channel and watching my video tour of Hilton Playa del Carmen. One of my favourite adult only resorts. I was there in late November/early December and while there wasn't much seaweed the water was a bit murky for my liking but that didn't stop me from going in the ocean. Honestly, the sargassum seaweed issue is becoming more prominent in a lot of destinations, not just Mexico, and the seaweed season is lasting longer. I know people don't like it but I wouldn't base your entire vacation decision around finding a beach that doesn't have seaweed. Find a resort you love that offers the experience you want and if there is a presence of seaweed at least you're happy with what the resort offers. Does that help?

      @@javierhuertachavez2415 you would need to confirm via the Hilton Honors website. Currently, you'd need to join their rewards program and have 60+ nights stayed. Also, you usually need to book on the hotel's website directly in order for your rewards program benefits to be activiated. This could be done by a travel advisor.

    Thank you for this video! Do you know if you can book airport transfers through the hotel? If not, do you have a service you use? Also, can you book excursions through the hotel? If not, do you have a service you use? Trying to make sure we stay safe as we go and this will be my first time not booking an all in one package through a travel agency.

      Hi @lolomissa thank you for stopping by the channel and watching my video tour of Hilton Playa del Carmen. What a great resort. I'm sure you're excited for your vacation. Why did you not work with a travel agent to book this vacation? Yes, being a travel agent myself I'm biased, but working with one has some huge advantages. That said, I am happy to report that Discova is the transfer and tour company that is affiliated with the resort. You should reach out to them for any requirements.

    How much for the massage

    • @SunnySouthVacations
      @SunnySouthVacations  7 місяців тому

      Hey @georgewatson3167 it sounds like you're going to the resort soon? If so, you can find the spa treatment menu on their website. A 50-minute relaxing massage is currently $137 USD which is pretty reasonable compared to other 5 star resorts. I appreciate you stopping by the channel and taking the time to ask a question. I hope my answer helped.

    Review of the Resort: A "Memorable" Disappointment
    Well, well, where do I begin with my stay at this resort? Let's call it an "experience" - one I'm eager to forget. From the moment you step foot into what claims to be a luxurious haven, you're swiftly transported to what feels more like a cattle farm. Ah yes, the ever-charming wristband - your badge of dishonor. So, if you fancy being an easily identifiable mark for every vendor, potential miscreant, and overly enthusiastic local in Playa del Carmen, this place has you covered!
    Inside the resort? No escape. It's like being in a relentless sales pitch, but here, the ever-enthusiastic resort staff are the hawkers. Want to relax? Think again. They're always on standby to try and upsell you something. Upgrades, excursions, spa treatments, premium dinners - they're always on the hunt, and you're the prey. Ah, the serenity!
    But where things truly take a dangerous turn? The so-called "security". For an establishment boasting its exclusivity, the behavior of some guests seemed more fitting for a backstreet bar brawl than a high-end retreat. The open bar? It's more like a ticking time bomb, drawing in unruly twenty and thirty-somethings. With their increasingly aggressive antics and sheer disregard for others' safety, you'd think the resort was auditioning for a reality show on brawls. The "security" team? Oh, they were there, but their indifference and inaction were alarmingly evident. It felt less like a retreat and more like a hazardous obstacle course, where every day brought a new set of challenges to one's personal safety.
    "Smoke-free", they claimed. Yet the reality was an all-pervasive haze of secondhand smoke, and despite countless complaints, the smoky saga continued unhindered.
    And don't get me started on the so-called all-inclusive deal. Overpriced restaurants and room service that felt more like a drag than a luxury. At 700-800 euros per night, the returns were pitifully inadequate. Mediocre drinks, a "piña colada" more reminiscent of murky puddle water, and dated rooms that screamed of neglect. My first night? A cacophonous symphony thanks to the ancient air conditioner, forcing an urgent room switch.
    For a resort that parades itself as 5-star, a hesitant three would be a stretch. The raving reviews and promotional videos? One can't help but question their authenticity and how many palms were greased for those glowing endorsements.
    In short, if you're seeking luxury and relaxation, this resort is a masterclass in how not to deliver either. Steer clear.

      Hi @mauroandriotto5400 , thank you for stopping by the channel and for watching my video tour of Hilton Playa Del Carmen. It's unfortunate that your experience fell short of your expectations. It also sounds so dramatically different from my experience, I wonder if we're talking about the same resort? That said, I do appreciate that everyone experiences things differently. That's why you see such a range in reviews and ratings on popular sites such as Trip Advisor.
      I really enjoy all-inclusive vacations as I find it's a great way for me and my family to travel. If this was your first experience, I'd encourage you to try it again in the future, but perhaps all-inclusive vacations aren't the best way for you to see different parts of the world. That's ok. There are so many different ways to travel and see the world there is something for everyone.
      Thank you again for stopping by the channel.
