Brings back memories. I worked at HP New Jersey division, which designed and manufactured HP power supplies. My time there was 1981-7, which probably predates this product. It was all about quality, hiring good people, and treating them well. Engineering, assembly, accounting, marketing all in the same open space. We made our own PC boards and transformers then.
I have this very power supply only mine is the later Agilent branded version. I have load tested it with a HP 6060B and it works just fine! Great score.
They are very good power supplies, I currently have an E3610A, two E3611A, and an E3612A. Makes for a good range of voltages for having fun.
I have one in my lab :) works like a treat
I've never heard anything bad about those little old HP supplies, bulletproof by all accounts!
Been looking for one, but it seems like everything is getting more and more overpriced on ebay by the day..
Yeah, they are really good. The only complaint I have is the lack of a switch to turn the output on and off without turning the whole unit on and off.
I managed to score mine for a good price, but others I've seen for sale here in Japan are a little pricey too.
How much you bought this?
They sell here in Japan for around 5000 to 10,000 yen.
@@NearFarMedia wow this was given to me for free!
