I really loved season 7 - it felt like a breath of fresh air as I personally have felt like the show hasn't been the same since Erin, Antonio and Olinsky left, but I feel like the writers really turned it round this season and I found myself invested in the characters and stories again. Voight has been left alone a bit, but he's still there to watch over his team. Jay was really discreet as well, apart from eps 9 and 10, but he's one of the oldest characters and he holds the team by his experience. It was more a "feminine" season with Hailey going dark, Kim and the arrival of Vanessa. I appreciate that Kevin had more screen time (he's so well filmed, the shots are always great!!) and Adam laid low a little bit. The episodes are more about their jobs, and how it affects them; that's what I expect of the show even though personal stories are mandatory :)
really want Jay to get promoted to SGT and Hank to LT, Intelligence needs a few more team members and I want there to be a conversation about thta between Jay and Voight so badly

I'm a few days late but THIS IS ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS UGHHHHHH I haven't really been very invested in CPD since Erin and Olinsky left but I really did like s7, it was more emotional and HUMAN and every character had some kind of storyline! I'm still very heartbroken over Burgess losing the baby tbh I hope s8 is as good as s7!
