Can't help but think of the crew member who died as he had loved ones, dreams, and felt what he was doing was honourable RIP. Amazing that some of the original parts are still there. Pieces of history with some personal memories attached to them. A shame that they could not be preserved. Yes, in 50 yrs they will be no more. You found a lot of crashed airplane parts, indicating a very remote place less travelled. A shame that none of the pieces were salvaged. EE you never cease to amaze me, a bang up job making the difficult trek especially having just recuperated from a broken arm. Hope you had a yummy lunch as you must of worked up a real appetite. Looking forward to your next adventure.

The way your track down history is amazing. I'm a big believer in preserving history. And I think they should have kept some of it as a tourist attraction or museum. So history isn't lost like it is. Good bad or evil it's still history.

What an incredible find. Knowing that the German recovery team blew the aircraft up explains why everything is shattered beyond belief, and, at the same time, most of the crew managed to survive. At first it certainly looked like a catastrophic, non survivable, crash. The way the engine cylinders were broken and thrown about. Normally the yellow painted sections on the Ju 52 were the bottom of the wingtips, tail, and engine shrouds, and it's quite stunning that you can still see how bright that yellow was. That long rusting piece at 16:41 is the strut support for the tail plane, and yes, that long piece is probably one of the floats. That is just one of the most amazing crash sites ever, and major kudos to both of you for trekking that far to bring this amazing site to us. Thank you so much for sharing this, and for bringing all these places to those of us who will never see them. Fantastic work as usual Team! Cheers to you all!

I went for a tour of a JU88 being restored to flying condition, making it the only one that was in flying condition. Very interesting with the corrugated sides, and the windows which you could wind down and up. Those were refurbished, using handles and mechanisms from VW Beetles, so were the only parts they could get that were period correct, and made new.

What a great location with many magnificent finds. This is the first video of yours that I’ve seen with so many large pieces of an aircraft just laying around everywhere. Seeing the cylinders with the pistons still in them give you a ideal as to the huge size of the engine. Was the yellow paint on the inside of the aircraft? So great to see Eagle Eyes healing well after braking his arm. Young ones like him heal faster than the old people like you and I lol. I hope you have a part two for this location. I feel there is so much more to see.

After 3 days on a live fire exercise, this is just what I needed, thanks you. So much of that 52 is still left on that mountain side, it is amazing. Can I ask, why the yellow paint? Is that the same as the RAF with Yellow being used for rescue aircraft as it was a float plane, unusual in a 52? So happy to see EE fully recovered, and leading the way uo that mountain, you go young man, lead the way. Thank you both for sharing and a little gas money on the way. Stay safe and well my friends

Very well done again, finding lost history, makes a person think about the air crews like the submariners, tankers, etc....,knocking out a vehicle, aircraft, etc...., but the men inside those machines. They had jobs to do just as Jim, frank, Tommy wearing fatigues, British khaki did. Beautiful landscape too, that mountain stream , imagine having a summer home there, a huge fireplace, no phones, no noise just peace and quiet.

This is the case in many places in Europe. Especially Eastern Europe where the Russian front was. There’s machine guns and foxholes. Bones helmets. Still lying where they fell. It’s amazing. There’s a UA-cam channel that goes to excavate the stuff. Imaging walking through a field and finding a mp-40 laying on the ground. Or a karbinger98 laying there. Check the ww2 excavation sites. Very interesting. Almost with we could venture out and find WW2 artifacts.

Great find. Since when is a young man not hungry. The heavy piece was the crankshaft for one of the radial engines. Most of the metal seemed to be airfoil surface or float. The one complex chunk contained fuselage. Now that you said the Luftwaffe destroyed the Ju makes sense that there is not as many fuselage pieces around. Again, great find and gorgeous terrain. Good weather for the climb. What altitude was it at? Last couple of videos I have managed to get collogues and classmates to watch, they don't understand the camera deception that the trail/road looks flat but is going uphill. EE keep up your work. Both of you stay safe and well.

Yes what a great place that is and they sure blew it up properly it seems. Was some hundred meters up there. Yes the camera cant convey how incredible steep some of the work we do is. Thanks William and be safe :)

Always enjoy you exploring the crash sites though it always makes me a bit sad when I know someone was killed in the crash. Cool that so much of the paint was still intact on it. This one fascinated me since it was a Ju 52 floatplane version. The Airfix 1/72nd scale Ju 52 model kit was released under license by MPC here in the U.S. back in the 70s. Had the parts in the kit to build the floatplane version which I did all those years ago. Earlier this year was off at a military aviation museum, and they had one of the old model kits in their gift shop! Picked it up and looking forward to building it early next year and watching this episode is making me even more eager to get to work on it. Thanks for the hard work you two (and three when BBG is with you) do for us and keep up the great work!

I would love to see some of those pieces used to make a memorial on the site to the crew member who did not survive. Sorry I have been so quiet these last few video's I have been battling a bad flu, but the videos bring a smile to my face and make me feel better.
