I understand the point about socks, but I actually keep wearing socks that don't have a 'partner'. I have 'remarried' socks that have both lost their spouse. It makes me happy to see them together on my feet, even though they're different. :)
A possibility for where to donate your decluttered vases is a local flower shop. We did a church vase declutter a year ago, called our local flower shop, and they were thrilled to get so many different varieties of vases which had just been left to overflowing through the years at the church after funerals, weddings, etc. You can get stuff out of your home and the bless a local small business all at the same timer! 😊
Hi Ashlynne, how are you? If you have lost the lid to a container, you can repurpose the container, for example, using them as compartments in a drawer for smaller utensils, etc. Have a great day! 😊😊😊
Thanks, I love your content and you always do a great job of bringing up items that slip my mind when decluttering! My only worry with decluttering lists is sometimes I think it can lead to the tendency for viewers to throw usable things out, rather than the more green options of using them up or ensuring they go to someone else who could make use of them. Totally fair to get rid of items that are just taking up space, but would love to see your take during these lists on how to declutter those items in a way that reduces waste too!
Totally get that! I’ve actually done a few videos in the past of how to declutter responsibly and I actually have an entire section in my ebook where I dive in depth on the topic and share a bunch of resources! So I’d definitely check those out if you haven’t already. 🥰🤍
I always enjoy & get inspiration from your decluttering videos 😊 Also- you’re such a talented painter! Loved the glimpses we saw of some of your pieces
To stop the mismatched food containers and having way too many. Match them and always store them with the lids on, it stops you collecting more and more and if either you lose or damage part of one get rid of it's other half. I broke a container the other day and since I had the lid as well threw out both and haven't replaced it yet either because I still have enough other containers
The alterations pile…that used to be me with dry cleaning. I literally had a pile for months in the 90s. I finally got rid of all of it and told myself that I’m not a dry clean clothing person. I stopped buying anything that has to be dry cleaned. I also can’t iron for anything so don’t have anything that gets really wrinkly. The only condiment packets that get used are Chick- Fil-A’s.
I've recently gone through my pegs, getting rid of brocken and cracked ones. Over time, they deteriorated from being in use in the sun. I have trouble getting rid of clothes ❤
A relevant and siple video😍. I have lately decluttered paperwork of articles and documents I had put off too long to read and study, but not by just throwing them away. I have scheduled each one and gets rid of it as soon as I'm done with it. This has left very little left and as I go and the pile is minimising each day cos they're all important to me to go through.
Oh god… yes to the extra bedding and the condiment packets. I have actually run out of soy sauce and been super grateful to have them stashed in the fridge but I know if I just took more care to keep my grocery list more organized that wouldn’t be an issue. Similarly to old bedding… the number of table cloths I own is outrageous. But since they often get ruined, I have merely stopped buying them until I get down to my last couple.
I have a hard time getting rid of cute boxes. I seem to be collecting them. Especially the little tin boxes that i dont have anything to put in. I just cant seem to throw them out 😭
I have a ton of mismatched plastic containers with some even damaged. I have been meaning to go through them but there are always other things that I need to do that get in the way of doing it.
It’s so nice how your content is instrumental in bettering areas of life which people like me try to brush it under the carpet😅. Apart from the killer asthetics❤ I love the functionality as well❤
Today I’m going to declutter my daughters playroom and take toys she no longer plays with to the charity shop. You’ve also inspired me to declutter the tuppaware:)
I'm not sure how old she is but you might want to ask your daughter first if it's ok to donate them. She might be attached to some even if she hasn't played with them in awhile.
Give your pens to the wait staff at your favorite restaurant. It’s seriously like Christmas for them. I never say no to a free pen, doesn’t matter that I have a drawer full of them. Drives my husband crazy, but he knows that I will still collect them & them give them away.
OMG, excess flower vases!!!! WHYYYYY do we keep them?!? Just keeping two - one for a large arrangement and one for a "normal" size arrangements. Thank you!
I love the idea of setting a timer. I'm trotting off to do that now - actually for things I've been meaning to sell. Like that scuba diving mask and snorkel under my bed. And those condiment packets! We NEVER use them! Bye bye 😂
Condiment packets: open them and pour in the actual store bought condiment bottle or jar. I do that with those little soy sauces all the time! Less waste, more sauce😁
@@ImaOKay522 Yep. Some people are actually that broke that they don’t like to waste food. Those would be the same ‘germy hands’ that prepared the food in the first place then, would they? Better not eat out or do any takeaway at all then…
I still have a lot of foodcontainers that aren’t the best quality. At the moment I’m using them one by one and as soon as they are used I throw them out instead of washing them. And I’m superguilty when it concerns vases 😅. I do have about 50 vases and indeed I only use a few regularly, but the otherones are so handy for flowers that are only here for a few weeks a year 😂. I really do have a problem there but I just love flowers.
don't just throw out excess condiments though, either use them up or maybe donate them, either give them to a friend or relative or donate foods you don't eat to a local food bank
Where could I donate individually packaged plastic utensils & straws? Because of our lifestyle, we tend to get fast food frequently & end up with a huge stockpile of new plasticware frequently.
The only area which I find difficult to declutter is my clothes. Just too overwhelming for me. For all the rest , I usually find it therapeutic to de clutter.
I found doing it drawer by drawer was really helpful, even if there were weeks and sometimes even months in-between. It's possible I sent show off pictures to like minded friends when I had a drawer look really lose and organised 😸
I knew I had a pen buying problem, but I filled almost an entire gallon ziploc bag of pens I don't like. And I kept finding them everywhere. I'd think I was done, then open a drawer and there were more pens!!
I wouldn't get rid of the vaccum accessories, it kind of seems like a set i am breaking off. If i want to pass on or sell it if its functioning but don't want it anymore, i would rather have the full set
Oh definitely if i haven't fixed clothing then i clearly dont want to wear it or reuse it that much so byeeee. Also last time i found something i meant to fix it didnt fit anymore anyway😂
What’s one thing you want to declutter from your home today? 🤍
Cleaning the bedroom.
Clothes
Books I can get at the library if I want to re read again 🙂
Clothes, sheets, and containers.
Unwanted Christmas items

Same lol I wear mismatched socks all the time. I only get rid of it when it has holes.
Great idea. I love the thought of sock marriages.
Yes! These are my Punky Brewster socks
lol…re married socks! Love it.
Me too 😊

I put special notes on my artwork and send it to my friends. My friends were so grateful.

Great video and good advice. Its been awhile lol
I put this video on pause a few times, and decluttered my pantry, mismatch, lids, and straws that no longer fit well. Thanks!
Your videos are always so helpful!

Use kitchen containers as drawer organisers

Thank you for a great❤ declutter video
I decluttered condiment packets a two days ago - before I found your channel!
Need an updated Kitchen organization video! 🤍
Bravo
I love these videos
Hi Ashlynne happy Thursday morning and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
I have a hard time getting rid of cute boxes. I seem to be collecting them. Especially the little tin boxes that i dont have anything to put in. I just cant seem to throw them out 😭
I think it would be nice to put sweets/chocs in your boxes and every time you see a friend, give them one as little surprise :)
@@spirituallysafe that's a great idea. I bet my friends would love that. I will be doing that this christmas. Thanks for the suggestion ♥️

A great place to accept donations for bed linens and/or towels is your local animal shelter. They always need sheets, blankets, and towels.
I have a ton of mismatched plastic containers with some even damaged. I have been meaning to go through them but there are always other things that I need to do that get in the way of doing it.
Super au top ashlynne 😊😊
You did a beautiful and welcome to the month of May, Ashlynne!❤❤❤❤
Thank you!!
You’re welcome!
I haven't worn my compression socks in months, but I found them today, and set them out for my upcoming trip.
Decluttering is great for finding random things that are forgotten or tucked away in an unhelpful place 😊

You could just use up the condiment packets, saves you buying more or decant them into bottles you already have and throw out what is pass being used.
Yep, that’s a great option!
I decluttered the pens in my home yesterday. Now we have pens which actually work!
Give your pens to the wait staff at your favorite restaurant. It’s seriously like Christmas for them.

Haha yes!! LOVE. THIS. 🙌
I like to store my food containers with the lids on so I never have to search! It doesn’t seem to take up any more space.

Not the chik fil a packets 😭 so good for lunches and travel. I put them in a baggy in the fridge so they’re contained
Haha yeah I do like to keep a couple Chick-fil-A sauces handy (those are really the only to go sauces I will allow) but we definitely had too many 😉

I took loads into my office, Polly pockets and scrap paper too. Though the latter only for my own use
