Really enjoy your podcast!! Colorado Knitter was who mentioned you!! Love yr inspiration - want to buy a sewing machine but think I ll try drop spindle first since more economical. Look forward to your next podcast.
Awww thanks for joining! I love Mari from Colorado Knitter :) and yesss! Way more economical for sure (altho of course I already have my eyes on other spinning gadgets that’s aren’t as affordable haha oh dear)
Hi there 😊Followed along since last video... also live in the Bay Area, and basically the same size as you (4'11" technically although have in later life ever-been-measured at a wellness checkup as 5' so I sort of mentally claim that too). Really enjoy your videos so far and the stuff you make! While watching this one I am working on my Polina pullover in Noro Silk Garden Sock Solo Omitama with a vintage Rowan Grainy Silk as the contrast colour! But I have a gazillion wips and climbing all around me as well.
hey there! thanks for joining us here and yay for a fellow petite person! i'm sooo curious about the noro silk garden yarn (especially in that omitama color way, so pretty)~ g'luck on all the wips!
glad you like the pomonas! i’ve probably made 8 pairs now of differing fabric types. and a pair of boxer shorts. and i still want to make more 😅 i’ve tried the lane pants also but the rise was just way too high and not as good of a fit. i know kolina didn’t like the lane either. pomona supremacy haha. maybe it’s bc we are all around 5 ft and it’s a good petite fit
omg so good to have a fellow petite pomona lover! good to know about the lane pants too~! i love that you have 8 pairs, i plan to have about that many in the future too haha
Great episode! I like your aesthetic and taste in fiber, cooking, etc! I’m currently knitting the Moby sweater by petiteknit and have a Musselburgh hat for in the go mindless knitting. I love linen quill and hope you enjoy it as well. I’ve used it for a short sleeve ranunculus (I’m sure you could get one out of one skein!) I just finished the misurina using linen quill as the main color and spin cycle dyed in the wool for the colorwork. I also just finished Look at my Holes by James N watts with a summer fiber yarn. So many great patterns out there! Happy making!!
So sweet, thanks so much for the kind comments! I like your taste in patterns/projects! I've been meaning to make a Moby as well (AND the ranunculus is exactly what I intend to make with the linen quill for my mom! haha you read my mind) 💛
omg i literally JUST sewed up some kelly green pants (from Birgitta Helmersson's zero waste pattern book) - it's sooo fun to style!!! also Toum sounds delicious
I just started spinning a couple weeks ago and it’s sooooo fun!
Ugh yesss! Isn't it amazing? Such a cool world and so much to learn. I'm so tempted to invest in more spinning supplies/gadgets/fiber!
The color of your Deima Air blouse is such a dreammmmmm
Thanks so much! I hope I get to finish it fully someday! haha
