Yeah, Al being just being just a Suit of armor isn't common knowledge for one what they did (human transmutation)would be considered illegal, so only Roy Mustang and his circle really know what happened. That's why the ongoing joke of people confusing AL as the fullmetal alchemist is because the average citizen wouldn't know why he's called that so they assume it's because he wears armor.
About Lust, she says she was looking for Marcoh, so she found him that very day (and it seems she found him because she was following the brothers, or it seemed like this to me).
This is one of those moments where the story uses a pretty clever trick to advance the plot and to illustrate how alchemists think. You have previously been primed to think: "don't do human transmutation, because we don't know what you would have to sacrifice to pay for the soul." And then a sick, twisted, evil alchemist comes along and thinks: "I can get my hands on a human soul... multiple ones for that matter, I wonder what I could get if I sacrificed them?" The question in: human soul = ? Is usually used like this: ? >> human soul (what do I have to start with to end up with a human soul I didn't have before) But our evil alchemist turns it into. ? > partial philosopher stone. This also explains why a stone allows you to "bypass" equivalent exchange, it doesn't. The stone is a reserve of the tremendous potential of the souls used to create it, so by using the stone you are in fact sacrificing as needed by equivalent exchange. Pay attention to the visuals that accompany the introduction to alchemy that starts off each episode (so far) you've been plainly shown the truth of how a philosopher's stone is made six times now (ep 2. >>7)
11:22 After hearing that you're a librarian, I would HIGHLY recommend that you check out the anime "Ascendance of a Bookworm" eventually. It's one of my all-time favorites (actually went so far as to buy the entire light novel series translated thus far). It's also a wholesome slice of life with great character development, worldbuilding, and story just like FMAB. ;-)
@@FantaxxiaTV Note that it isn't exactly the most popular thing to watch on reactions, so if you rely on UA-cam/Patreon polls to vote on it over other series...it may be a long time (or even never happen, despite how good the series is), so it may be something that you simply want to watch on your own time or something. ;-) Still, imo, it's on the same level of greatness as absolute top-notch shows like FMAB, Attack on Titan, or Code Geass.
Starting to scratch at the government conspiracy! And yeah, I hope you're prepared for the cliff hangers ... I certainly didn't have your dedication to not slip into a 'just one more' mentality!
I'm sure someone will tell you at some point but I'll do it as well, at some point in the show they start doing post credits scenes that are quite often very plot important and they don't really tell you they're doing it. Depending on the way you're watching the show it'd be pretty easy to miss them completely. So I'd suggest skipping the credits (after watching them and hearing the song for the first time each time they mix them up) and seeing if there's anything after them.
Some Cut Content from the Manga in episode 6 Lust is on the same Train Edward is on which is how she finds out about Doctor Marco and it doesn’t just cut away when she confronts him there is a short fight between the two, he stabs here through the mid section with alchemy but it barley phases her, then when she threatens to kill a child, he surrenders and tells her what he told Edward As for episode 7 There actually isn’t too much cut cut from this episode There is one thing worth mentioning that it's not important, but it's a neat detail. In the same way Marco's research was encoded as recipes, Edwards research is a diary about places he's visited, and Colonel Mustangs is a journal about women he's dated. There is also an extra chapter that has a fight between Edward and Mustang, though. Mustang wins fairly easily.
This is a not only a great anime, but also an expertly crafted story, even most regular shows cannot match. So you probably made a disservice to yourself by starting with the best, you will be comparing any other anime to this :)
Really happy about the double drop! Also good to hear about a possible future FMA 2003 reaction, I don't think there's any on UA-cam. Great reaction as always!
So we know Al can lose all his limbs, his head, and a large portion of the torso part of the armor and be fine. Could you alchemically remove just the transmutation circle that bonds his soul to the armor, and alchemically weld it into another suit of armor of any size? At the very least, could he swap his parts to something a little more manageable in terms of size? Or bigger? Presumably it couldn't far exceed human proportions, but that's a pretty wide range of size.
There are a couple OVAs that give a little prequel action! I know there's one for Teacher doing her training up North, and one for Roy and Hughes together in bootcamp. There's more, I think, but those are the two I can remember rn
I saw someone else comment about the post credit scenes and it got me thinking. Is there any other anime that has done post credit stingers? I cant think of any and I been a lazy dumbass otaku weeb for 30 years. Thats a lot of anime.
I've wondered about that too, I could have sworn they used to happen a lot but it also might just be because I've seen Brotherhood so many times. Although I've been watching MHA again and they come up sometimes so maybe it's just a Studio Bones thing, I dunno.
1:30 You were already too far into Brotherhood to benefit from 03. No idea why you'd watch it after, the benefit of 03 is it fleshes out the characters better early on. Stuff like spendig 5 episodes with Nina before she dies. Once you know the characters which you will at the end of Brotherhood I can see no reason to watch 03.

In a world with so few good people… anyone who’s even trying is precious ❤
This breaks my heart since this applies to the anime as much as the real world.
The cliffhangers in this show are legendary and I love it every time.

Read or Die is a pretty good "book" based series, too.
3 episode OVA first, then 26 episode TV Series.
Hard agree

I have a list of the post credit scenes! Episode 6 & future ones are available for UA-cam members & patrons as a lil bonus :)

Love the 2 episodes at a time! Thank you! I love watching full metal with you.
Awwww thank you!!! I love watching it with you!!
Unfortunately you will just have to get used to cliff-hangers!
Okay fiiiiiine 😂
That said, doubling up the episodes this way (even # odd #) will probably leave you with bigger cliffhangers than the other way (odd # even #). 😬
Also, Fanta, if you were right and Bradley were Father, would that make him a double daddy?
As soon as she said “That’s horrible! I’m a librarian!!” I lol’d so hard knowing that Sheska (spelling?) was in this episode haha😅
