How are the EU’s digital rules being put into practice?

In the EU, big online platforms have a responsibility to protect us from disinformation, illegal content and unfair practices. They need to play by the rules set out in the Digital Services Act, the world’s first comprehensive legislation aimed at ensuring a safe, fair digital world and upholding freedom and democracy.
In a plenary debate in September 2024, Members of the European Parliament debated with the European Commission about its enforcement.
