Ma Long played a very cerebral game. Ma Lin is a monster that can unleash at any moment. Ma Long played an extremely smart game to deny Ma Lin any comfort zone. It was very impressive. Plus Ma Lin was obviously making many unforced errors and frustrated with himself.
You can't beat Ma Lin with aggressive approach. He himself was the most aggressive player ever. Mind gave was very important to beat him. Ma Long and Timo Boll are the smartest paddlers.

Stupid umpire. As you can see he never played tt he only know about the rules. You need the time between the point to concentate and focus for the next point. Top players know, tt is 20% skill and training and 80% strategy mentality.

I don't know Why 30 is considered old for TT, like TT doesn't require the physical strength and stamina like Tennis. Federer is almost 40 and still playing at top level.
30 is not old in any country but china. China simply has too much internal competitions and a younger and more talented player could show up and replace you to represent the country. You could still be world top 20 but nobody cares anymore unless you move to another country.
