This isn't the first time DeNiro's gone off the deep end. Actors really shouldn't have opinions.
Quite frankly when I found out he was part of a pedo ring in France and was allowed to pay a huge fine and turn evidence on the others instead of prison time is when I was disgusted by him.

I have a coworker whose Trump Derangement Syndrome has been off the charts the last few weeks. Last week he said "Trump wants to take my guns!" Yesterday he said, "Trump is as bad as Hitler and Napoleon!" Just out of nowhere. We weren't even talking about Trump. Lol! His eyes were glazed over and he was so giddy telling me about Trump being convicted. This is the same guy who said he hoped all the un-jabbed would be culled from the herd back in 2021. I told him he is being told what to think. He walked off.
