This isn’t to say I genuinely wanted to work every day, but as far as taking a nap, at a certain point, it got boring to spend most of the day near the end of every year of high school playing card games and reading my yearbook. I think a nap would have been more productive lol.

I'm inspired. i think for my students I'll give them the assignment of fixing trade dispute between the US and Europe. if they make it to the news I'll count it as extra credit.
I just received 200 sharpened pencils in my mail box at school. That would have been great to have on the first day of school. It's almost the last month of school, and trust me, I still need them.
It frustrated me when I'd see kids not be able to afford just basic supplies but have the latest electronics. Or they don't have hygiene products or clean underwear and yet they have name brand shoes/clothes. Priorities of these parents are baffling. 🙄

Reminds me when I was in HS. I was mostly an A student and another student was either skipping or sleeping. So the last couple of days of school I saw him in at class making up work
The “pen and paper thing” always blows my mind. I was in grad school and had people in my classes ask to borrow some. Dude this like grade 18 for you!

Fair enough, if a student makes a time machine he deserves whatever grade he wants, not least so that I can take the working model as an assignment
