Nice vid
Ultraman actually does have those glowy pupils, but it's pretty hard to make it out since it is so bright. That's where the light is positioned
This is just the first time we've seen them emphasized.
Ultraman rising❌
Ultraman raising✅
Gonna be honest, the “Ultraman has to play mom to a kaiju baby” was the main draw for me.
ultraman(Ken version) reflects his human form quite a bit since he is a baseball player the wider shoulder and the long arms reflect this, while his father in the start has the classic ultraman proportion. and the older version of his dad even reflect older injuries and his moustache. which in my opinion is a very nice detail.
YESS ITS SO UNDERRATED MORE PEOPLE NEEDS TO SEE IT
This movie is beautiful, it's emotional and unique in its art style. Would 100% recommend.
The thing you talked about attention to detail is not just about Tokusatsu, but about Japanese Culture in general, from the fact that there has almost-to-none fantasy japanese brands, to the fact they had put one of characthers produly singinmg a ACTUAL ANTHEM OF A JAPANESE TEAM, everything is detailed to perfection and as you said, wasnt on your face, was only to add more to the scenes
They got Tokyu Hands.....never seen the real Tokyu Hands appeared in anime. They usually make a fake brand out of it
I would've liked, during the montage of Ken bettering himself, to have gotten scenes of Ken getting better at fighting Kaiju and we got to see cameos from the likes of Antlar, Black King, Geronimon, or Jamila.
Jamila would be the most cursed cameo
I've never watched anything related to Ultraman but when I saw it on a short I didn't think anything about it but when watching it oh my gosh when I watched it I fell right in love with it❤❤❤ 200/10
This movie is my introduction to Ultraman as something I might actually really enjoy, I love how the mivie just drops you in this universe and doesnt explain much and I really liked the stuff about Ultraman being an alien. I am now starved for Ultraman media please recomend me something!
Shin Ultraman is a good movie to show you the concept of Ultraman as it is a remake of the original 1966 series
when it come to actual series to watch itself i recommend Tiga and Mebius though they are very early 2000s so some stuff have not age well, Nexus is a good one if you want something a bit more mature
you could also watch some of the newer series like Ultraman Blazar on Tsuburaya Productions channel which is the official Ultraman channel as they post eps for free on UA-cam there with sub and dub options
@justdrums8273 So far, I've only seen Ultraman Max(previously seen more of Kamen Rider). I enjoyed it, though I have to warn that at least the first couple episodes felt like early 2000's Power Rangers before it got better, and in some cases, near horror-stranger
If you like the family-oriented elements in Rising, you can try *Ultraman R-B* for a more lighthearted show. But if you want a little _heavier_ watch with family theme, check out *Ultraman Geed* show.
5:45 Yes, but from what I've seen, Japan's "made for kids" can be very different from other countries "made for kids."
And honestly, as someone who finished Ultraman Max recently, Ultraman adopting a kaiju sounds very much like something that would happen, lasts for maybe a few episodes before the birth parent shows up/the baby turns out to grow up really fast.
And most of the country, restriction can be different from each era, i remember there's a lot of sexual joke in my country's show, most of the old people there love those kind of shows, and that's when they are young😂
@@IZAKVIKRON I think you need to rehash that because there's some contradictions there
“Have you ever thought that your powers weren’t enough for a hero?”
There’s nothing to worry about if u can parent a baby kaiju 😂
kenji literally experiencing the highs and lows of motherhood lmao, i feel like i haven't seen enough of men being forced into parenthood and i feel like i just found my new favorite trope. it's such a great story and i cried so much. being a parent is extremely hard and i loved that this entire movie was about raising children. This was really evident when the interviewer Ami said that raising children is like raising little monsters, but they'll surprise you as they become their own person.
i also liked that they didn't make ami the love interest in this movie but rather helps him as she's literally a single mom and Kenji is literally forced to be a single mom. Kenji thinks he's above everyone and it makes him a cocky athlete. And yet, when he raises Emi, he finds someone who gives him another reason to live. He has no friends. He lost his mother who he loved. He was estranged from his father. Even though he's supposed to fight against Kaijus, he puts that aside to raise his own daughter.
I also think this is a really good MODERN take on the Ultraman series. Monsters are no longer truly feared by the general public anymore and our kids media don't really have monsters to fight against. Instead, Kaijus are seen as kinda animals who are annoying to deal with when they happen to come near the city and destroy things. At the beginning of the movie, Kenji says this. So to take Ultraman, someone who fights kaijus, to raise his own kaiju and experience motherhood, it's a really surprising twist. It's something I have **actually** never seen before. it's a refreshing take on familial love, especially for a kids movie.
Watching an Ultraman fan watching Ultraman Rising solidifies this Ultraman movie. I am satisfied.
Enjoyed this review so much!
This movie is so underrated, everyone needs to see this movie bro its so cool!!!!!🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This movie made me a baseball fan ngl ⚾️❤️
The 1 dislike as of me watching this is the woman who sued Ultraman when he fought Neronga.
I completely understand what you mean when you talk about taking your childhood for granted. When you’re young, you never stop and think about the future or the hardships adults have to face. Eventually, when you do get older you start to realize how easy you had it. That childlike wonder that you had is replaced with stress and cynicism. It’s not a truly awful or absolutely terrible thing, but that transition from child to teen to adult is a hard process to go through.
Ultraman rising is not for kids
That's all i would say about this movie. If you're a parent, or a an adult struggling with responsibilities, this is your motivation.
go watch ultraman tiga its good and i subbed
Wait is that Precure reference 7:14 ?
Someone: Godzilla has a son? This is so for kids!
Me: bro it's the showa era.
This show looks good after watching this. Have to give it a go. I wasn't going to but now I must...
I'm not a single parent but i'm more of a single brother doing most of the raising for my sister because my parents were to busy fighting at that time and yeah this movie slaps.
"It's was ultraman,it's was literally made for kids"
Shin and nexus(or the next) : 😊
The Ultra Series may not have specifically been made for kids, but it certainly wasn’t going to exclude them. I mean, who else is going to but all those soft vinyl figures?
Make a vid on ufotable and stiens;gate
There is an anime about it so we'll take it
Also how can I watch as much Ultrman content as possible?
I know that the Ultraman YoutTube channel sometimes uploads the series. I'm fairly certain you can also watch the original 1966 Ultraman series for free on UA-cam (at least in America).
@giovanmorabonilla6400 If you have on demand services, like with cox, you'll probably have 20 or so series available to you through tubi, freevee and so on.
You can also check if your local library has some.
There's also "places" like kissasian where you can watch Japanese series, that being where I watched all of Kamen Rider Build, although it's also one where you have to deal with popups.
@@KitsuneAnimeYTyep. The Tsubaraya Productions UA-cam channel has several series, movies, and specials subbed and dubbed on their channel
The free (with ads) streaming service Tubi has a lot of Ultraman content on it. A lot of the series is also out on DVD from Mill Creek Entertainment.*
*In the United States
@@AdamYJ dang it
wait, what entries of Ultraman have you watched?
Ami made me connect with my inner dog and got on all fours barking at my phone
0:30 0:37 same
Actually ultraman can be considered an anime 0:06
3:20 or the thundersaurus mega zord from power ranger Dino thunder for those American viewers
Kitsune anime "if you are a parent watch ultraman rising"
Me "if you are a kid watch ultraman nexus and Ultraman the next, it's a great series and movie"
😂😂😂😂😂😂..yup nexus and the next are totally great for kids.
