There is a reason why so many people look up to him. This guy is the definition of a role model, his work ethic and professionalism is always top tier.
the first NA player to commit to cs and move to europe and win, up and coming players who want to succeed should follow in his footsteps, there is no winning without sacrifice, twistzz is the perfect embodiment of the ideal teammate and player, he has the skillset for support and fragging and igling
I met Twistzz for the first time at IEM Dallas 2022. Faze had dropped in groups. I hadn't really cared all that much at the time, as I mostly just watched as a fan of the game. But as I walked around the convention my friend pointed and freaked out quietly. He was pointing at the Faze booth where Twistzz was standing signing stuff and talking to fans. Since they'd dropped before groups, Faze wasn't going to have a meet n' greet. So Twistzz volunteered his own time to go and do it anyways. I still regret to this day not getting something signed by him that day, but I have been a fan of him, his game, and most importantly his CHARACTER ever since. My goat. Full stop. Stay Legendary Twistzz!
I was there as well and he did the faze signing and then stayed for 2 hours after by himself to do an extra signing. I was already a fan but that to me was special because he was so genuine and getting to show love and him be so thankful meant a lot as a fan. Just a solid dude.
One of the most impactful... There's reason why pros rate him in top 5 best player along with elige go look the vid on utube for lifeless haters like u to believe that@@yddq6884
From EU, loving EU CS, always doing banter with the NA.. There is always players i respected a lot, and Twistzz is one of them. This man is an absolute gem. Humanly, Sportively. A beautiful soul.
Twistzz and jks have been top two riflers in my heart. Not only they are humble but also their professionalisms are such golden. If somebody asks me what are my favorite riflers, besides rain, Russel and Justin are my role models in term of everything 🩵
Russ has been my favorite player not only for his skill but just because of the person he is. Always showing love and appreciation for fans and just being a great rep for CS. Amazing doc and would love to see more!
I'm about 3 or 4 years older than Russ and I lived in the same area of Kelowna as he did but thankfully left before high school. I can confirm that the schools in that area were not particularly enjoyable. They called one of the elementary schools I was in, "Pearson Penitentary" because it had a reputation for violence and a lot of kids from poverty. I ended up getting expelled from that school in Grade 5 and thankfully went to a better one. I imagine high school would have been a living nightmare, cuz my experience was on the same type of trajectory as his.
"I usually just say I'm from vancouver" is the most relateable thing being from the same valley, wont stop me from bragging that Twistzz is my local CS Idol
The Canadian GOAT, I will always be a huge Twistzz fan. Something I really admire about him that is very clear in this documentary is the incredible trust he has in himself, he’s bet on himself and made his own path so many times, and his hard work has made him one of the sport’s best. Keep doing Canada proud Twistzz!
I was at IEM Dallas 2023 and just missed out on the faze signing session. Russ came back 30 minutes later by himself to meet with some of the left over fans. He truly is a good guy in and out of the server. Hoping he can bring success back to TL
This gave me chills through out. I have huge amount of respect for Russel. Being an honest person filled with empathy, with his background, takes a lot of work. He has matured into my definition of a role model.
Fuck Twistzz this was some deep ass shit , and I appreciate it bro some people needed to hear this. Struggles builds chartecter an inspirational video !
Shoutout Ocean. Seriously, having an abusive stepparent but having someone to take Twistzz to matches is great. Also I gotta bring up the time people criticized Twistzz for being in a top team when a bunch of T2/lower T1 CS pros made the swap to Valorant. I think Valve could do a lot more to grow the T2 scene and help the transition into T1, but to criticize a guy that came from poverty and an abusive household is crazy. He got to T1 teams because he worked his ass off and didn’t give up, which was his point in the first place.
The greatest NA player in the history of the game, and one of the biggest role models in video game history. Always a pleasure to root for whatever team Twistzz goes to.
Nothing but respect for this man and despite being a faze fan I will always want him to succeed. All the best for the future in your career and personal life Twistzz. Take care
@@taikoboda yeah that is true. I was gonna say over 200k but I googled it and it said only 120k. I’m from Vernon so I guess Kelowna feels big comparitively
the faze roster is what got me back into cs back in 2023 so you could imagine how gut-wrenching it was to hear that twistzz was leaving, but regardless i really look forward to the future of liquid and will definitely be rooting for the guys 💙
For me it was a great Day we played against eachother on Dust2 in the closed CS2 beta and i also could let u feel my XM through the smoke, it felt so awesome =)) Wish u the best, have a nice one..
It’s sad to hear what twsitzz had to go through in school. He’s obviously a more sophisticated mind, and was probably a lot more mature compared to kids his age, especially by experiencing those family breakdowns at a young age. I went to a school that was pretty similar, and it was draining to see my peers and even friends wasting their life away, bullying others for fun, doing drugs, robbing stores, breaking into places etc. glad for him being so successful and lifting himself out of that life
For me Twistzz is the greatest player to ever touch CS, btw amazing production and banger direction ESL. FaZe doors are always open for you to return Russ 🐐❤️

As an early C9 fan, I love that Twistszz still pays his respects to Sean Gares.
One of the most underrated NA IGLs that never got his due.
Sean Gares had built a NA empire that would never fade
dont forget about his ex girlfriend who cheat on him

Had almost the same experience at Katowice 2023. Everyone from FaZe had left, but Twistzz still took some time to talk to us and sign our mousepads.

Crazy to think what hes done with such a tragic upbringing.
Also OCEAN driving him around probably saved NA CS?
Twistzz leaving faze is so unfortunate. i wish him all the best with liquid.

Their Faze Grand Slam run will remain one of the best moments in CS history for me. Truly a miracle run.
Amazing work ESL!
Man, Twistzz had a really rough childhood. He went through so much as a kid... I really hope that some of those wounds are healed.
