Thanks for sharing, BBC. It's an excellent coverage of the discrimination by the Iranian regime. Being aware of reality is, for everybody of us, the first step to change it. 🙂
Wow now this is different I always knew of Afro-Persians from southern Iran and Afro-Shi’i people I once being an AfroAmerican Shi’a who was first Sunnite and originally born a Baptist Christian,so I enjoy syncretic cultural expressions, but Queer and Afro-Iranian this is a treat to watch.🙏🏾😎🇺🇸☪️👁️
Yes- misogyny, censorship, shaming, racism & ignorance is rife in the UK AND Iran... I had an argument with my sexist misogynistic & z .10n1st brother earlier this year where he threw me from a car- we were arguing about Islam being inherently sexist & whether or not Arab men were violent & controlling... his attempt to convince me I was wrong to defend 🍉 was to do that. YOU might be on completely different sides in your head, & you might behave completely differently in your mind, but your argument here is exactly the same as his. ALL MEN GLOBALLY NEED TO LOOK AT THEMSELVES.
There are a lot of people in every society that simply do not want to understand queer people, but on the other hand, there are also many people that want to understand queer people, so a good idea seems to be ,spend more time with people whom like to understand you and less time with others, There is no reason to try to have some sort of hope to make a global change towards queer people, as these things take a lot of time and are not achievable in a one lifetime span, Live your life at the fullest ,good luck
Honestly, this report seems to try hard to generalise the experience and perception of 2 individuals to a whole society and shift the blame from government-imposed discriminations solely to the people and society… nice journalism, BBCW!! Not at all in line with the Islamic Regime’s talking points and justifications…!! I’m wondering if Javad Zarif wrote, directed, and produced this report…!! For non-Iranian people who don’t know much about Iranian population demographics and society, I should say that we have Black Iranians for thousands of years, especially in the south, fully part of the society and not a separated or isolated group… Also, the queer society has been generally accepted by the majority of the society for more than the age of this lovely young individual, especially in big cities… yet I admit that in smaller towns and villages or pro-regime neighbourhoods , they still have massive challenges and are not being accepted, but that is generally due to the Islamic regime’s systematic discriminatory propaganda and policies
They’re echoing words and phrases of west left. They’ve been absorbed. They lacked the individuality they claim they left Iran to express. They didn’t talk like normal people.
People from the lgbt group are found everywhere. Even in places that dont accept their lifestyle. Even in Africa where it isnt acceptable, they are there. I say this because, its not an American ideology as you said. The ACTUAL Western ideology on this topic is the trans agenda in particular. It has scared many nations because it has descended to madness if im to be honest. The fear comes from living in a society where you are forced to play into something that isnt real, for the sake of someone who simply needs help. Alternatively, if you look at Asia, theres a big acceptance for the trans agenda because they dont force others into the whole pronoun thing, and ladyboys for example havent deluded to actually believing they are real women. Many jeep thier man parts in tact and vice versa. But in the West, im sorry it has becime insanity. Many queers are also against the trans agenda. What it has done to American children, terrifies the world. Its that simple. But most places (except islamic nations) dont have an issue with gay/bi people, its a fear of their nations turning into what America has become. We want our spaces, and sports separate for men and women etc... we want these decisions to transition/hormones to be done for people over the age of 18, who have a sound mind to make such a major decision. But the west insists on doing it to children who dont even know that santa is fake. And they actually lie to these people that you can become something you're not. Thats where the issue lies. Hence the major refusal for that in particular. But even in Africa, simply being gay, lesbian or bi isnt a big deal. Its the trans agenda in particular which we dont want to see here.
I don't understand, Ukraine under occupation is unacceptable. From the first day. Palestine under occupation is acceptable for 76 years. Double standard by the US and Europe governments.

I find it interesting and important to point out that in ancient Persia (more pagan - Zoroastrian; more in tune in living with nature and people being part of the natural ecosystem), the diversity of folks was celebrated and the norm (race - vast across the many regions; gender - ie. Ancient Persian poets were all for the majority Queer and celebrated, etc.), but it wasn’t until colonialism and imperialism by the White western countries and patriarchal Muslim and Christianity religion dominated countries that Iranian culture became more bigoted towards these communities and marginalized them.
