The roof area has a surprising amount of skate related stuff. I use elastomaric roof paint to waterproof the wood layers under my gatorskins on my miniramp.
Trust me, from experience the caulk will shrink/expand and fall apart with extreme weather and time. I know you don't like it, but FIBREGLASS REINFORCED FILLER is the only stuff for the job, and it's so much cheaper, harder wearing and long-lasting. Trying to scrape out this calk crap from botch fix jobs at my local so they can be done right is the bane of my existence.
When you say "caulk," do you mean the stuff that dries soft and rubbery? Is that the stuff you've had to scrape out? If so, then I'm with you 100%. Of course it's not suitable for coping gap repair. But that's not what Zack is using here. He's using a two-part epoxy anchoring adhesive that dries extremely hard, with virtually no shrinkage. The Sika product that he shows at about 1:20 performs similarly and is also not "caulk." I've always had good results with it. But are you saying people have used it at your local and you've had to remove it?
@JBH123 yes, after all I'm not quiet sure what they used as I wasn't there when they did it. But it's white and hard yes, but dependant on the thickness and age it has some flex. I always assumed it was some sort of calk because bondos are generally coloured and like I said, wear a lot better
I love how excited and nervous you get about everything. Your also impulsive and reflective. Ya make me laugh. I'm similar. Woops should have planned this out better. Living life on the seat of your pants. Thanks for born don't recommendarion gonna go finish some slappy curbs off
If you hit the "like" button under the video I can afford to fix more skateparks!
I always value your very Zen attitude about things you can and cannot control, big kudos to you for that man.
the good thing about caulk is how hard it can get, very satisfying
Best thing to use is 3m panel bond its an automotive product i use in the body shop its the strongest adhesive and very hard to grind away
You are the pool doctor ,even wearing the white coat, that caulking tip looks like you could even do a colonoscopy!😮
🤣
Great work. I am thinking about the pools at parks now and which ones need some maintenance. Thanks!
haven't been to this skate park in Oceanside in a fat minute
Fun one!

I know exactly what set xp is. Its epoxy adhesive I have used for setting bolts in concrete. Thats good stuff. Great job with this job. I like it
Thanks for the maintenance!!!
That's how the pros do it 💥🤙

Thanks for the tip! I’d direct that pain towards the city not the skaters trying though.

Tape up the end of the nozzle and leave it on the tube.
Would this work for chunks in curbs? I have a long chunky curb quarter pipe at my park.
Yes, JB Weld sticks are good for that too.
@@ZackDowdy cool thanks.
Nice calk!
man this is so good
Good idea
You should have sprayed some clear afterwards. ✨
What a legend

Nice job Zach. Tooks ⚾️⚾️s to do that with that many people skating 🤣. Glad to see it held up though
Ha thanks homie!
why tho
Skate blockers? Um...
Second 😂. Btw sick video’s definitely motivated to film more UA-cam for my channel
I feel like the city would give you shit for that, have you been harassed at all because you tried fixing a public skate park?
