Recently got a new ResMed AirSense10, and jammed in an SD card yesterday. Also installed Oscar yesterday. Regrettably I even shaved my beard. So I’m ready to do some analysis baby.
I just got one too. Was playing with it today. Is there a way to connect it to the internet? It looks like there is a wifi light on it. ??
Do i have 2 shave my beard?
@@jenjabba6210 It comes with a cellphone modem. It phones home and your doctor gets the reports from ResMed. It's not nearly as detailed as Oscar. I just bought the Fytsec Wifi Pro SD card and programmer... this should allow me to connect to my AS10 through my wifi and upload to Oscar without having to move the card... several times I've forgotten to put the card back and lost a night of data (Oscar reminds you, but it lasts about 1 second). ResMed needs to bring the machine into the 21st century please! SleepHQ (Uncle Nicko) offers a setup that auto uploads your machine to the cloud... you have to pay a subscription for that. I bought the AS10 without the modem, it's on sale for $399 everywhere.

Jason, thank you for pointing out the air pressure influence on the wave pattern. Helpful indeed. I have unrounded patterns that I have thought are because of UARS. But I now know I haven't tested for this by increasing my pressure, as I have focused on leak control.
Thanks so much for all the help you've given us over the years. I started on BiPap Resmed Aircurve VAuto in August. Before I got my machine I'd watched most of your videos which made it much easier to be successful. I'm using the Bleep Eclipse most of the time and last night had zero leaks for the first time. I use OSCAR and Sleep HQ to help analyze each night. Happy New Year to you and your family.

So I haven't seen this on one of your videos. I noticed the hair on the top of my head was getting really thin. In one section. I finally figured out it was from the top strap on the Fisher and Paykel Vitera full face mask. I cut that sucker off and lets see if my hair grows back on top.
In just 2 years went from severe sleep apena too mild just from your info and many videos , started with full face now using nasal mask only and SOMNIFIX mouth strips ,sleeping awesome .happy new year sir and your family .

I want to thank you for all the time and effort you put into this channel. I tried CPAP about 5 years ago and... well... no one told me about the difficulties that would lie ahead. So, I quit. However, the effects of my sleep apnea became more pronounced this last year (trouble concentrating, high blood pressure, daytime sleepiness, etc.) and I knew I needed to address it. I started looking into Inspire when I came across your channel. Your videos convinced me CPAP is the superior treatment and that I really needed to give CPAP a fair try before exploring other avenues. I am now about three-weeks into my CPAP therapy and I can't say it's been easy. I quickly learned I could not rely on the medical professionals to guide me through it. Your videos have equipped me with the ability to take control of my own therapy and I now have some hope I'll be able to make this all work. Thanks again and I wish you a great 2024!
Question. I need help with my slimline. I had the old slimline heated hose that has the funny hook on the end and the rubber seal came lose. I replaced it and the new heated hose is a push on new design but ever since I’ve had it I get massive rain out. My settings are 4 on the humidity and the hose temp is set for 81 half way into my sleep my hose and mask start gergoling with water I’ve never had it this bad since I switched over to a heated line took care of this issue as my room gets very cool at night as I like a cool room about 66 f as we are winter in Canada

My resolution is to try and find a ffm like the one you suggested (vitera) because of taping my mouth not always staying because of drool.
Happy New Year! So I started using kinesiology tape, and it does stick with moderate facial hair. Have you tried it?
Yes. It will stick to the hair, but float above the skin and mouth. Same as all other tapes in that regard.
So what do you do when you keep (unknowingly) ripping off the mask? I have the absolute worst sleep of my life when i use my cpap. Shy of taping it to my face, i cant keep it on. Not that im mad at that. However i can't breathe with it on (that's why i think i rip it off) my nose closes up, then my stomach fills with air, my mask fills with drool, and my nose bleeds. My humidity is up to 100%. I absolutely hate my machine. It is the absolutely worst thing ever invented. What's worse than that? I'm required by law to use it because of my cdl. You would think DOT would want me to have quality sleep. I was never tired during the day behind the wheel, until......you guessed it....i started using that damned machine. Im at a loss.
