@ yes, on January 10th “Disney tales of magic” will debut, featuring fountains, fireworks, lights, projections on the castle and for the first time ever at DLP projection along main Street USA. 🤩

Le meilleur spectacle, et je suis si triste qu'il disparaisse.... J'ai eu la chance de le voir plusieurs fois et j'ai pleuré devant à chaque fois.

Only true OG's know that the older versions of these shows were much better. When the fireworks were a bit better now I personally find it much weaker. As far as projections go Dreams is still the best and only good show. I'm looking forward to the new show in January, a show that fits in with the rest of DLP because they have managed to put on very good shows in recent years (except for Alice in Wonderland).

Now, this maybe a wild thought, but if I were to improve Disney Illuminations, here's how I would do it:
- Opening: Add a majestic opening fanfare to the show, with the addition of some music from the Shanghai version
- The Lion King (1994): No changes
- The Little Mermaid (1989): Mickey being carried away by the current.
- Finding Nemo: Mickey being present at the jellyfish level.
- POTC: No changes.
- The scene starts to transition, at the end of the POTC scene, a pirate flag moves with the wind, while Mickey is propelled to the castle's left side, close-up on the skull which becomes a bit colorful.
- Coco: It's very colorful, Miguel and Hector are singing a mashup of “Un Poco Loco/The World es mi Familia.”
- The scene then starts to transition, Mickey flies away atop of Pepita, a soft version of “Feed the Birds” plays in the background, with the shadow of Mary Poppins descending from the star.
- Mary Poppins: This segment will be done with projection mapping onto the castle with a re-recorded version of “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” playing in the background, the inclusion of Mickey within this scene is perfect!
- Scene transition, the carousel horses leave towards the castle's left side, Mickey is on a horse on the very back, he follows the other horses…suddenly the carousel horse transforms into a real one.
- Disney Princesses: We enter into a world of romance with the Disney Princes and Princesses, and a romantic experience unlike no other. I could picture scenes from Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Aladdin being represented here. The segment then culminates in Rapunzel and Flynn Rider singing “I See the Light”, as several floating lanterns illuminate the castle. As the song slowly finishes out its’ final chords, everything becomes dark, very dark.
- Villains: Suddenly, a flash of light appears across the castle, as the Disney Villains (led by the Evil Queen) begin to cause chaos and ruin to the celebration, until a group of magic makers (i.e. Genie, Yen Sid, Fairy Godmother, etc.) help Mickey stop the villains' dastardly plans.
- Finale: Smoke still clears from the previous madness, surrounding the castle, as all falls silent. The aftermath brings a moment of tragedy, but all of a sudden, similar to what happened in the live-action Beauty and the Beast, the castle regains its beauty from the damage done to it. Mickey then conducts a spectacular symphony of light, color and magic to close out the show.

the way the show just getting shorter and shorter make me abit sad. but i still love this show

A mon avis Disney illuminations sera dans retour ptet août un truc du genre comme Disney Dreams qui a refait son apparition en 2023
Dreams sont revenus pour la finale de la célébration du 30e anniversaire. Illuminations est un spectacle recyclé de Shanghai Disneyland, et ne reviendra probablement pas.
