- Today we build a transport hub in our town centre, and build up the density as we head towards downtown!

This is an no mods *, vanilla, Cities Skylines let's play series with a focus on creating realistic city design with lots of detail. We'll be building a fully functional and efficient city with mass transit networks, tourism and industry including all DLC and content creator packs. The series is based on mostly live game play mixed in with detailing timelapse's. * I use line tool and forest brush to speed up the recording process and be able to produce more content for you!

this is really shaping up to being onee of my fave vanilla series on youtube! that transport hub looks awesome and I always love the way you intersperce little green spaces in between everywhere. it gives the neighborhood this really human-focused charm like of course we have businesses and offices but we *also* care about third spaces where people can rest and enjoy outside. really nice!

The underpass food stall emporium market square empire state needs tables, trash bins, and lights! And maybe a little arcade in the middle with the amusement park assets?

Your hotel color looks spot on for the vanilla bean.
The hub gives the impression that the metroline used to be a crossing rail line but got converted sometime after the original station serving both lines was destroyed (WW2?) and newer stations were needed.

Love this build! I need to use curves more often. Mainly, I just use them in rural areas where I don't smooth out all of the land.
Thank you! I love a curvy road, in my modded cities you'll virtually no straight grids. It's quite difficult to do that in vanilla though, but a nice mix does make it feel organic (coming from a European! 😂)
I'm glad that you ended up doing some residential areas. I was kinda disappointed when u stated earlier in the vid you weren't. But when you finished the vid and seeing that you did residential I was excited. It looked like a lively area that I wouldn't mind living there. Noise is a tradeoff for being close to the action. Again, another amazing episode and build!!

I don't know what percent that hill is, but going down it would be a lot better than going up it. There are some twenty-percenters round Bristol and Bath, and a couple round the country over 30. Hardknott Pass is 1 in 3. I've not been brave enough to try that.

What about taxis stand next to the train and metro stations? They look pretty nice and the depots looks good at industrial zones…
The thing I love from ur Urban planning method, not having Car Dependency 🚗... City Is Walkable(Close to Shops, School and other Services)... Avoiding of Using Stroads 🛣️ ..Lots of Parking lot 🅿️ and multiple of public transportation.For me a City's that not Walkable and Swarm with Cars and not a bike Friendly is Horrible just like American City which is suck in Urban planning (chaotic and inconvenience).

How long does detailing typically take you in vanilla?
Usually around an hour of footage for these episodes, but I cut a lot out, especially when I try something and it doesn't work, or I'm looking at things from lots of different angles! (an awful lot longer for modded, my f1 race track took about 10 hours just for the detailing timelapse, that's the most extreme I've done).
@@fewcandy Omg. I remember that video lol. I asked because you inspired me to restart my city and try to detail like you but I don't know how you find the patience to place every tree, rock, park bench etc. It's feels like it would take a couple hours just to do a residential district.
@@justincredible1990 My advice would be do small areas at a time, build one or two blocks, then detail them, then continue. If you go in small chunks it won't feel like a chore and will be very satisfying when it's all complete!

Im sorry. I dont get it. How can you call this vanilla when your incorporating ALL dlc and creator packs? Ive always thought of vanilla as BASE game and that's it ! (Assetto Corsa, Farm Sim22 , American truck sim) Vanilla = no mods no dlc.. Then again, in my dictionary vanilla means something else..so what do I know.😕
In the Cities Skylines community vanilla is most commonly referred to as unmodded as the base game is, frankly, terrible by itself. Even the creators Colossal Order use the same language. You will pretty much find no content creators playing base game only in this game.
