What is the meaning of the ribbons or linear objects that are sticking out from behind the head of the angels is Byzantine art? So many Orthodox Greek depictions of angels all depict these strange ribbon-like forms emerging from behind the ears of angels. They almost resemble antennas sticking out of the angels' necks.
