Rick, I loved hearing your thoughts on your vintage card and baseball journey! Oh yeah, the 1949 Bowman Paige, epic trade for the 3rd-year Jordan! 🤯🤯🤯And the Green Cobb! 💚💚💚The DiMaggio Wheaties is glorious as well! You have a truly amazing collection, my collecting brother! 😊👊
Just opening up those packs! One of the greatest feelings. And going through the cards real quick to see who you got as you chewed the bubble gum. There was nothing like it. Loved your stories.
I love it.....I loved all the stories. I really think within the next 4 years we're going to witness another Championship with The Knicks. Let's Go Knicks
Hi Rick, I really enjoyed hearing your reflections on the past. That Manager's Dream card is easily one of my top ten favorites in the hobby. The photo of Mickey and Willie, with Hank in the background, is just incredible. And the beautiful woodgrain design makes it even more special. I remember daytime World Series games, though I was never lucky enough to have one broadcast over the school loudspeaker. Back then, sporting events-beyond just the Super Bowl-had such cultural significance. It was truly a different era. I believe the photo on the 1965 World Series card captures Mantle's home run off Gibson-you can clearly see Gibson's follow-through. Thanks for sharing this trip down memory lane!
@@tjmacvintagecardsnostalgia648 Terry, thanks so much for watching and commenting! I never noticed that the picture on the game 3 card depicts Bob Gibson. Mickey did hit a home run off Gibbie in Game 7, but there is no certainty that the Game 3 photo is from Game 7. Gibson also pitched and lost Game 2 in STL while he won Game 5 in NY. Mickey’s 3 homers were hit in Games 3, 6 and 7 off of Schultz, Simmons and Gibson, respectively. Mickey is wearing his road jersey which he would not have been wearing in Game 3 played in NY, so it could have been of his home run in Game 7. Did your research confirm that or could it have been just a picture of a big swing against Gibson? I Enquiring minds want to know (lol)!
Rick I loved every single second of this episode. How many times i dreamed of 9in 3 on 2 out 3 balls 2 strikes and like you I hit plenty out ha ha ha ha

@@elitehunters732 i hope you’re right! They had some good teams with Bernard King, Patrick Ewing, but just couldn’t make it over the top!

@@Rocketrickj18 I actually think Manfle missed because it looks like McCarver is keeping the ball in his mitt.
Fun photo
