In this Tattoodo X Zalando collaboration, musician and fashion icon Marcus Lundqvist talks about his growing tattoo collection.
Like many hardcore collectors, Marcus Lundqvist discovered the tattoo community through music, a medium he feels deeply connected to. What started as a mere aesthetic element, collecting tattoos for Marcus became another way that he could have a form of self-expression. For him, music and tattoos are inextricably linked. Each feeds his absolute need for creative output.
Marcus mentions that he's always been an "all-or-nothing" type of person, and that his dedication to tattoo collection has been concrete from the start. While many of the pieces he's picked up have particular meaning, many of them are simply a memento of the past, an image representing a time in his life. Looking at each image on his skin, he can instantly reconnect to that unique moment in time when he was tattooed and remember what his life, feelings, and the experience was like.
Part of the Tattoodo X Zalando collaboration, Marcus was one of four creatives to represent the meaning of Free to Be: a philosophy that celebrates authentic living to the utmost...whatever that may mean for them, or for you.
