Think of how much easier it would be to make a mold of the clay design and then cast the mask, but no, this man takes all this time and effort to hand carve it still! I have much respect for this craft and hope to own a mask some day.

Another great video! I've been learning gofun through your videos and I was wondering what type of brushes you use? I've been experimenting with different ones and found something I think works, but I'm curious what material the ones you use are.
@hiromitsu3177 Thanks! I used some natural sable ones that are soft, but they're often very absorbent and the gofun would quickly dry and become streaky. Which works better for painting. But I found very soft and easy synthetic brushes to apply nice and even evenly without drying much at all until applied. Thank you again for all your videos, they're both inspiring and very educational!
Ten years ago i started to carve a raven mask, but put it aside for various reasons. Now i see a few things in here i want to incorporate. The foil for the copper overlay was a neat trick, and now I need to source some oyster shell.

ぐっ じょぶ！おでこの造形（輪っか）は胡粉を盛り上げ削ったものですか？金箔張る時のしわの無くし方は？脱脂綿でひたすらしごくのですか？接着剤でしわになりそうですが、、、完成までどれくらい時間掛かりましたか？花飾るのオシャレ！
そうです、胡粉を盛り上げて模様を描きました、金箔はボンドや接着用の漆をしっかり拭き取るのがポイントです、完成までは3週間、花（野草）は母が飾ってくれてます。

Paulownia wood.This wood is not large, so we will add more wood where necessary.The glue used is wood glue.
