- Clan Line was strutting her stuff along the Southwestern Mainline on Saturday with RTC's Atlantic Coast Express from London Waterloo to Exeter.
Other commitments meant I was unable to chase along the route, but saw her on the outward journey just South of Wimbledon, and then at West Byfleet on the return. The second camera shot at Wimbledon isn't the best, but I decided to include it anyway!
It’s been a while since your last video , I hope you have been well . Great photography especially the evening shot with what appear to be cinders bouncing along the carriage roofs .
Thank you Kenneth. All is well, thankfully, just busy with other stuff! Hopefully more to come soon. 😊 Hilary
Wondered about that Wimbledon shot, but never got out of bed early enough! Good whistle.
I think the whistle was for one of the MNLPS guys who was on the bridge. Not complaining though. Like many footbridges, you get camera shake if someone walks by.
Hello Hilary
Thanks for sharing,it's been a long time since your last video.Great shots of Clan Line always a favourite.
Thank you, Michael. Yes, I’ve missed most of the rail tours so far this year…other things taking priority. Hopefully I’ll be out for the End of Southern Steam next Saturday. 😊 Hilary
Fantastic shots Hilary - well worth the journey. I had two railway modelling friends onboard - they loved every minute of it :)
Thank you Brian. I bet it was a great experience. We are booked to go to Worcester behind Clan Line at the end of August. Exciting! 😊 Hilary

Great stuff Hilary, just how you want to see an SR Merchant. Wonderful.
Thanks, Clive. She looks great. 🙂 Hilary
Something always just a little different from you. Enjoyed it.
Thank you. My favourite locomotive 😊 Hilary
Wow , Welcome back Hilary , good to see steam without diesel assist !
Hi Danny. Yes, it's always best like that 🙂 Hilary
Great clips again Hilary, with excellent sound. Glad to see you’re out and about again. Cheers 👍
As an addition, your clip of Union of South Africa from 2020 just popped up on my UA-cam again. I still think it’s the best steal locomotive clip I’ve ever seen on UA-cam!
@@ianjohnson13 Thank you Ian. You are very kind. Clan Line and UofSA are two very special locomotives. 🙂 Hilary

Thank you for these great videos, especially the atmospheric capture in low light! 🙂
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it :-) Hilary
@@hilsthetrainlady4683 I'm an ex-pat living in Western Australia, and Hilary, you bring back happy memories of jotting down steam engine numbers when I was a lad 😁.
@@bbkeyseeker2230 Aw, that’s nice. That was such a popular hobby, wasn’t it? You do see people out collecting numbers still sometimes. Clapham Junction is forever a popular spot, but safety people will readily move you on.
