Hello, first time viewer here! Just letting you know in case you didn't, you can switch the dryer door to the other side . It's a game changer, really.

I thought mine wouldn't work but I'm looking at it now and it just might! 🙌 Going to see if I can figure it out now 😅 Thanks so much for the tip! ❤

    Those images look so overwhelming.
I couldn't do loads like that without getting discouraged.
This is how to make doing laundry a daily feel good accomplishment.
    Tips:
    1. If you wash one type of laundry together, it's MUCH quicker to fold like items.
    Sheets
    Towels
    Jeans
    Pants
    Shirts
    Socks and underwear
    2. Put a load in at night (5 mins)
    3. Fold that load in the morning and put away while still warm (10 mins). This way you never have a stress inducing, unfinished task laying about.
    4. Do one load a day
    5. Have a separate dirty clothes basket for each family member
    6. Put soap in first
Doing laundry by person is a good strategy.

I've bought 6 10 packs of the same socks for my whole family. Exactly like you said. Very easy to manage. Also, I'm putting dry detergent, Borax, ash soda, oxyclean into a hot water container, mix it and pour it on my laundry. Never have any dry spots

i find it easier to do each person's separate. my daughter's, son's, then mine and husband's. they're already in baskets separated. I do a laundry day -I can't do a load a day, or I feel like I am always doing laundry. I would do different color/style per person/side. easy to see quickly. if they are all black but different sizes, I think that would be hard. I also don't sort by color - have never had a problem.
definitely needs to change the dryer door. that would drive me insane. also if you can go that long without washing, you might should declutter some. less to worry about.

I understand not being able to do a load a day, it's something I'm still working on because it never sticks😬😅 (probably because of what you said)! I actually took the advice to change the dryer door! It's amazing! Wishing I did it 4 years ago! 😅

Your jeans, specially those with zippers ruin your shirts ( they get wholes) if you put them together in the washer.

i agree. I found that zipping up and buttoning helps. it is an extra step, but we don't have but 1-2 jeans to wash at a time.

You have a depression, you're not lazy.

Thank you so much for this comment! ❤️ I actually have been diagnosed with depression! It's crazy how much a mental illness can show up in different aspects of your life, laundry included 😉

@@TheMillennialHousewife most likely you have post partum depression, seeing your young kids. But you're fighting it, your house isn't dirty, you care for your family, you're trying your best. Read the book of Elizabeth Vliet "It's my ovaries, stupid!!" which talks about hormonal deficiency like estrogen, thyroid, cortisol, etc. Don't give up, go to psychiatrist to remove the symptoms of depression and go to endocrinologist to see if your hormones are ok
      Good luck.

I'm sorry I really don't think you're a good one to get laundry advice from.1st you over load the washer so clothes are not going to get washed properly. 2nd is why would anyone let there laundry get that piled up in the 1st place when you have a washer & dryer at home.

    • @TheMillennialHousewife
      @TheMillennialHousewife  6 місяців тому +2

Oh I'm horrible at laundry, I realize that! 😅 the main purpose of this video is to help others that are like me that want to get their laundry done as quickly as possible because it has piled up. If that doesn't apply to everyone I'm okay with that! ❤️

Well, it's obvious that Tina is an encourager.
She likes to use the negative reinforcement approach rather than positive reinforcement. 😏
