- If someone were to offer a cheap, plug and play, scale-size flashing signal, they would fill a huge void in the market, and probably make a few dollars, right?

Great video and tutorial! Thanks for the shout out. A friend of mine told me about that wire trick. Helps big time. Love the scene, well done!
Thanks Mark! And thanks for the wiring tip! They're still holding on by a thread (literally😂) If and when they come apart, I'll know what to do. Take care - Bill
Very nice job Sir!! Just looks and operates great! Thank you for the video!
Thanks Scot, I appreciate it!
Awesome layout! I’m preparing to install several crossing signals on my layout and appreciate your how-to on this!
Thanks Main! There are a lot of options out there, this was all I needed. Good luck on your project! Take care - Bill.
We are very impressed here at Tomar Industries!
Thanks!
Nice work Bill
Thanks Christian! Have a good weekend! Bill.
Just caught your video. Exactly what I was trying to do. Ordered the board and signals. Great job.
Hi Mike! I just redid my signals by soldering 20ga to the magnet wire. Took some practice but worked great! Take care - Bill.
Looks great Bill…even got Leon’s approval 😂😂…guess sooner or later I’ll get back to some electrical work, including signaling
Thanks Anthony! Have a good one - Bill
Thank you the video. However, the scenic details (weathering) is what I mostly took away.
Thanks Kevin, glad you got something out of it. I've got a Scenery playlist on my channel, it's probably my favorite part of the hobby. Glad to hear from you - Take care - Bill.
Great video! :)
Thanks Mystic! Take care - Bill
Who knew building a layout had so much technical precision
There's a lot to it, right?
Answer: anyone who's ever been serious about doing it.
That was awesome Bill!!!
Thank you Mike, I appreciate it! Have a good one - Bill.
Stay tuned I’ll be posting an update hopefully this weekend on my layout. I loved the rain and thunderstorms!!
@@mikewoodbury7248 Thanks man! I'm subbed, so looking forward to it. Take care - Bill
You made it look easy!
Thanks Randy, but you didn't see me rasslin' with them little wires LOL! Take care - Bill
Nice signals, but honestly, you don't need a switch to control the lights. You really need 2 IR sensors on each end to activate on oncoming and deactivate on the last car leaving.
Love the setup. It looks great
Yup you're right. But I wanted to keep it simple and not go down the path of sensors and servo motors and working gates - but I respect those that do. Thanks for commenting - Bill.
I've built a sketch for arduino and I've added all the popular bell tones in a sound file i can use with or without gates an still have my sounds
@@cadillacescalade5428 I'm impressed! I really don't need another hobby like arduino or 3d printing, but they are tempting.!
They ill have to make a video when my new set arrives in. I would love for you to take a look. @@MyFingerLakesRailwayLayout
@@MyFingerLakesRailwayLayout I don't know what "servo motors" have to do with flashing lights.
I've got crossing bucks I glued 2 red 3mm LED's and ran the wires (tiny magnet wire) down the back side of the bucks and got a flasher circuit from fleaBay. Now I need a way to turn the flasher on and off as a train approaches and leaves the crossing intersection. My flasher circuit board will run on 9 or 5 volts--I chose a 9 volt wall wart. Any ideas? I do DC only. Cheers from eastern TN
Hi Rusty. I'm no expert, but there's a couple ways to go. I took the easy way out - an on/off toggle switch connected to my circuit board. If you wanna get fancy, check out block detection. Iowa Scaled Engineering is a good reliable company. Not sure how anything will work with DC, but the Iowa guys will know. Take care - Bill.
