- This is a polished version of my second TAS attempt at this game and category. This improves my previous attempt by about nineteen seconds.
Although this run is solid overall, I am not entirely satisfied and I still intend to improve it later. However I have been working on Mario Party 8 for a month straight. So I feel that the best course of action is to take a break and let the community appreciate a first TAS publication of this game.

I wonder About something Since Some Text Can't be Mashed through in Some Cases Would That Make Boo the Quickest Character in the Game just Because him having the Least Amount of Characters in Text?
Another Thing Im Thinking about is How Do Dual Roulette's Work Because My Thought For Shy Guy's Perplex Express is Start by Intentionally Landing on a Red Space before Holly Koopa to Be in Last Place Have the CPU Land on a Dual Space have it be a Short Minigame (For Tas Might Be The One Where you Waggle the Wii Remote to Call the Ship to you) Win the Duel so the Game Gives you Good Items Like a Triple Dice Candy Get Triple 7's And Win that Board would That Make the Board Faster?
Hi, thank you for your suggestions! I will take the time to answer you in detail.
You are right in that picking Boo would make several textboxes slightly shorter and could save a few frames. But this would not bring any gameplay change and, at least in my opinion, the added entertainment value of picking Wario far outweighs this small time save.
Now in Mario Party 8 VS (and Challenge) spaces only give you coins in the winning dart wheel (up to 20). On Shy Guy's Perplex Express the only ways to get candies are a drop spot and a shop, and there are two cool strategies around them.
First, with the drop spot in the cooking car (which is the only one on the board in duel mode), it is possible to complete Shy Guy’s board within two turns instead of three. You go second. In turn 1 the COM player must roll a 7. This triggers the Kamek event, which moves the cooking car next to the start. Then this allows you to drop a Thrice candy in turn 1, use it in turn 2 and roll a triple 7 to get 100 bonus coins and reach Holly Koopa directly. Unfortunately the happening cutscene is way too long to make this strategy faster in real time. Now if you want to purchase a Thrice candy in the shop, its base price is 20 coins and it goes down to 15 if you are ranked second. With only 10 coins at the start, you need to land either on blue spaces in the first two turns or trigger a minigame (VS or Challenge) to get the necessary coins within a single turn. In fact the first strategy is the faster one no matter which minigame you get (the cutscenes are too long, don't forget about the minigame wheel and the dart wheel).
One way to apply this strategy is the following. You go first. In turn you roll a 1 and the COM player too. In turn 2 you roll a 1 and the COM player must roll a 7, get 1 coin from the coin block and land on a blue space. Then you have 16 coins and your opponent 17. So in turn 3 you roll a 3, purchase a Thrice candy for 15 coins and land on a red space. (And the COM player must roll a 3 to land on a blue space for speed.) Finally in turn 4 you roll a triple 7, get 100 bonus coins and end the board. Note that, on top of the time it takes to buy the candy, this takes an extra turn compared to what I do in this TAS. I did attempt this strategy and hoped it would be faster in order to show off the triple 7, but unfortunaly it's not.

pretty sure that's on purpose to take damage as soon as possible after 1 hit because managing to avoid all the attacks while hitting him ends up being slower than just the slow damage delay there
That was the best Speedrun ever. I can never beat your time. But perfect run less than 30 minutes
No wonder why Koopa Kid Wasn’t there in this game.

Man I loved star battle. But you basically cannot play this game without motion controls.
