Whew! It's been a while since I used my Clover Pom Pom makers. Thanks to you and your clear, helpful tutorial, it was a breeze of a refresher! Thank you so much!
Picked up 4 of these pom pom looms today from a thrift store for a whopping $1.00. You made it so easy peasy and I am now a pro! Lol! You always make me smile. Oh and I may as well also share that I love making amigurumis and they had a whole container of safety eyes and noses for $4.50! Yes m'am I bought those to and a nice bag of feathers for a buck also. I love deals! Thank you for all the great tutorials! Keep being you!
Excellent. My crochet group leader used this too to show me how to do this but...she did the making of the pom pom instead of allowing me to do it. I'm a hands-on learner gal. Your demonstration is spot on!!!
Hi Jayda: Needed to make a tiny Pom Pom and obviously forgot how to make a fluffy one after numerous attempts. Pulled out my Clover gadget and watched your video. Thank you! So cute on my little crocheted beanie. 💜😎🇺🇸
This is my 2nd pom pom. I couldn't remember how to use the maker, found this video again! I said to my husband, I don't know what I would do without you!
I bought one of these things and couldn't for the life of me figure out how it works . Now I get it, thanks to you, Jayda! Another one of your very thorough and enjoyable tutorials!
I've made two jumbo pom poms in the past week for hats I had crocheted recently so I know how much fun it is! Would be even more fun in a group! Thanks again!
Thanks so much, I just got a set of 2 Clover Pom Pom Makers, with the same large one you showed. I needed your tutorial to be able to use them. You’re so clear & add lit tid bits of great info 👍
Thank you! I found your video and I made a Pom Pom with a Pom Pom maker right along with you! It came out great! You made it easy to understand and follow!
Hi Jayda just joined your site and watched your video. Wasn't sure whether I was making the pom poms the correct way using the pom pom maker. I had a problem trying to figure out how to get the yarn from one side to the other side to continue the pom pom. Thank you for showing me something new.
this was great. bought my pompom maker today and it didn't make sense. looked at some other tutorial videos......still confused me. this was nice and clear!! THANK YOU
Thank you jayda! 😊. You helped me get over my fear of pom-poms and pom pom makers 😂. Now I will save a lot of money not buying faux fur ones and have lots of fun making them.
Hi, I am kinda new to your channel, when I was going crazy for granny squares. I had trouble making them and still have a hard time getting started until I came across your channel. I also bought myself a pom pom a few years ago and didn't realize that to use the fun yarn you can really make good pom pom. And also turn them into keychains. I made several! And they turn out fabulous.
When I saw your new video I was thinking wow she could make fantastic pom pom out of that weird yarn that has value to it and put it into a fun project such as a pom pom key chain or a pom pom toy! Thanks for the video now I got some fabulous ideas of what to look for in the fun yarn stuff. !
hi jayda!!! I want u to know that u are a very awesome person and since I seen ur show, I have gotten so many ideas... I love ur bubbly personality and I can't wait to see more videos!!!
I found my scissors were too big. So I used a retractable knife where you can cut across the yarn. The blades break off in sections to make the tip sharp again. It's wonderful
I just made my first pom-pom with the largest one in the Clover set AND your wonderful tutorial, thank you!! And everything was so clear, fairly simple; BUT somehow, while fluffing mine a bit and beginning to trim it, the pom-pom fell apart...not sure why, since I followed your great instructions and the pom-pom looked perfect, before I started trimming. I don't think I tied it quite as tight as I should have, though. And it didn't appear that I cut the string that holds it together, so I'm just not sure why all these 3-4 inch pieces came apart, falling into my trashcan...😢
Hi Julie, a few things that might help with future pompoms: 1. tie that tie as tightly as you can. If it wants to spring open on you, wrap it around twice, cinch as tightly as possible and THEN tie a knot 2. use the cheap, size 5 fluffy, wants-to-unravel yarn for pompoms. It fluffs up and the ply all mesh together nicely when you trim it giving us a much nicer looking pompom 3. I like to hold the ties while I trim, that way I don't accidentally cut them, I can yank on them and see the "tie" if I need to and I have an idea of where the "bottom" of the pompom will be (where the ties are) so I can focus on the rest of the pompom being nice and round 😊
Hi Jayda Your Pom Poms come out perfect. I purchased the clover set and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but my Pom poms come out flat on the top and sticking out the sides. Any suggestions? I wish I could show you a picture of it lol
Hi! I try to wrap the yarn fairly evenly around the maker and tie the little tie off as tight as possible so it stays in the middle and keeps the yarn bits from sliding. Then, it's all shaping with the scissors 😊
Hi Jet! Tie that tie as tightly as you can and brush the ends to encourage all the little fibers to mix up with each other (and their neighbouring strands)
Hi Jayda. I love all your tutorials! I have tried and tired to make a pom pom as full as yours. I have used the clover maker and wrapped it even more than you have wrapped yours and it still isn't as full. I am using worsted weight yarn, would that be the problem? I just don't get it and I am frustrated. Thanks.
Hi Angie, sometimes the worsted weight yarn is tightly spun, as such it doesn't "fluff" up as much as some more loosely spun yarns. You might want to try a chunky weight yarn (size 5) or a really cheap, dollar store yarn that's ply seems to want to undo before you've even used it. That will make for a fluffy pom pom :)
Hi Jayda, I have problem with my pom pom, after I tie it, I test it and I can pull some threads out. Is there a particular yard that would be best to use to make a pom pom?
Hi Dee, the thick, loosely spun yarn with lots of little tiny ply that sort of 'felts' together when it's rubbed makes for great pom poms. You have to tie them pretty tightly too, I find that helps :)
Jayda InStitches i will try making some more. Thanks. I really enjoy your live crochet get-together. I am looking forward to watching the tutorial on the granny shell blanket. I wanted to share, my husband wraps and untangles my yarn. :-)
Hi Jayda! thank you so much that pom-pom maker is so clever I want one can you get one at Michael's or Joanne fabric? Thank you ,, your crochet friend Sue💕
I find mine come apart very easily, but you have to watch to make sure you cut every thread so you don't "tie" the 2 sides together when you're trying to pull them apart.
Hey Jayda! I know I'm a year behind but I just broke down & got my pom pom makers last week at Joann's with a %50 coupon. Thanx to your tut I was able to do it successfully! A question- On my knitty fb pages/groups I've heard quite a few ppl mention that their pom poms have fallen apart in the wash...I was horrified as I have sold & given hats away & that thought never even occurred to me! oh no :( Has this happened to you? We all pull the ends super tight so don't know...hmm. Love your vids & am trying to learn crochet with them. Thanx :)
Hi Kathy, I haven't had any of my pom poms fall apart yet (although I generally hand wash everything, OR put it on a gentle cycle), but I always try and tie my pom pom ties as tightly as I can (without having the yarn break!)
Kathy Tincler That is my concern too. I made one by hand without a Pom Pom maker. It came out great and I gave the hat to my grandson. He loved it but the Pom Pom fell apart. I tied it as tight as I could. So tonight I bought a two pack of Clover Pom Pom makers with a 50% off coupon. Here’s hoping!

+Jane Clermont I purchased mine at Michaels, however I just came across a 4 pack of these and a 2 pack of heart shaped pom pom makers for under 10 bucks (per pack) at aliexpress.com! They take about a month to arrive but for the price it's worth the wait! :)
+Jayda InStitches Yep! :D www.aliexpress.com/item/pcs-Pink-Heart-Shape-Pom-Pom-Maker-Knitting-Tool-Small-Large/32575986081.html I just ordered mine last week and CAN NOT wait to give them a try! :) If you happen to get some, I (and I'm sure others) would love to see a tutorial!
+rose fragale If you DO happen to cut the ties, just cut off a separate piece of the same colored yarn, tie a knot on one end, and sew through the center. Or you could sew it through the center of the pom-pom, by going up from the under side of your item and pass the end on the yarn on the needle back down into the item you are sewing it too and tie a knot and weave in the ends. But, I agree with Jayda, just don't cut them XP. Hope this helped!
Whoever invented this item was a genius. Thank You!
I agree, they're fun and they work! Thank you for watching 😊

Hi Carol! Oooooh thrift store treasures :D I LOVE finding craft supplies in the thrift store, it's such a score!
I just made my first one! That pompom maker sat in my drawer for 5 years! lol TY TY!
Great! It really works. First one wasn't at all bad, but the others were even better. Money well spent and the scissors are really good.
Thank you for watching Wendy 😊
Excellent. My crochet group leader used this too to show me how to do this but...she did the making of the pom pom instead of allowing me to do it. I'm a hands-on learner gal. Your demonstration is spot on!!!

Wow! Thanks for this tutorial!! One thing I will add -- use a seam ripper to cut apart the yarn!! SO easy!
Hi Amy, Thank you for the tip! 😊

Thank you for showing and demonstration this💖 My pom pom maker had no instructions🌟
You’re welcome 😊

Great tip Cynthia, thank you for sharing!
Amazing!! Thank you 😊💖
Thank you for watching!
I bought a set for Christmas for myself... My problem is I don't wrap it enough, yours is so perfect!
I try to jam in as much yarn as I possible can LOL. Thick yarn with a lot of ply works really well with these :)
Great tutorial! Thank you ♥
Thank you for watching Cathy!
awesome! thank you jayda
Thank you
So cool! Thanks Jayda my Pom-Pom looks perfect 👌🏼

Another great tutorial Jayda, do you have a tutorial on that collar you're wearing? It's beautiful. Thanks
+luvmyhobbies Hi! I haven't done a collar tutorial yet, I love them, I've made so many for myself! I will definitely add that to the tutorial list :)
@@JaydaInStitches hi jayda, could we please see this exact collar pattern? i really love it, not so much the collar posted already. thanks and hoping
I just made my first pom pom, Yippy🤗
That's great! Thank you for watching :)
Great video! What thickness of yarn did you use in the pom-pom maker?
Hi Erica! I've used everything, but really fluffy acrylic (that wants to split), like a size 5 or 6 works REALLY well.
Thanks for the help! Got past the wrapping stage then went "what now!"
Hi Savanna! Thank you for watching 😊
Hi Jayda, love your channel and would like a tutorial on the collar you are wearing see you next Friday, can't wait.
+Virginia Podbielski Oh! Thank you for noticing ;) Now...where did I write down the pattern for that????....
Hi Jayda

We had collars like that when i was in high school
+rebecca sabet I'm in love with these collars, I've made myself at least 6 of them in different stitches and colours :)
Jayda, any suggestions on how to prevent the yearn pieces from easily pulling out?
Hi Jet! Tie that tie as tightly as you can and brush the ends to encourage all the little fibers to mix up with each other (and their neighbouring strands)
Jayda, thanks for all your videos...still working on my Sunburst blanket, looks so Beautiful!
.Sandra R. aka ChilipeprSandi xo~

I'm pretty sure these Pom Pom Makers are available at Michaels and might be at JoAnn's too, not sure. I bought my set from Amazon.
+Becky G thank you so much
+Wendell Monster You're very welcome. 😊 Hope you enjoy making lots of Pom poms! This tool is actually really good for making them.
+Becky G thank you again you're very kind 😊
+Wendell Monster I bought some from Michaels and I've seen other people on youtube who have too.
I've just made 2 pom poms I love doing them. I want one of them pom pom makers
They're so fun!
1st! Love the little Pom poms!
I just used the Pom Pom maker for the first time and it was great but had a terrible time pulling it apart and putting it back together.
Hi Jayda, do you have any videos on how to crochet a superhero? Example, Captain America or batman?
Hi! We have a fun tutorial on how to crochet superhero gauntlets :) You can find that here: ua-cam.com/video/JHe4kEPx-v8/v-deo.html
can we make animals out of it like a bear or a bunny?
Hi! Absolutely, we've got a couple of cute PomPom Animal videos including a Bunny here: ua-cam.com/video/pL7MBscudow/v-deo.html Thank you for watching 😊
I tried this and if you tug on the yarn of the pom pom it comes right out :(. Im returning it to Michael's.
Very goog
From where i can buy
Hi! Amazon carries them, as well as Michaels (on occasion) and possibly other places that sell crafting supplies 😊
How do yo attached those to a hat for example?
Hi there! You want to leave the ties long, then you can attach them to a hat with the long ties :)
How can we make a bear or a bunny by a clover pom pom maker?
That is less messy where can I find those
+Jane Clermont Hi Jane! I ordered a 4-pack set from Amazon (they're made by Clover) but other folks have found 2-packs at Michael's and Joanne's :)
+Jane Clermont I purchased mine at Michaels, however I just came across a 4 pack of these and a 2 pack of heart shaped pom pom makers for under 10 bucks (per pack) at aliexpress.com! They take about a month to arrive but for the price it's worth the wait! :)

I wish someone would demonstrate the smallest pom pom maker.
Hi Annie, it works exactly the same as the other sizes, it just takes less yarn 😊
How do you attach to a hat if you cut ties off .
+rose fragale if you're going to attach it to a hat, don't cut off the ties, just trim around them 😄

I just bought a Pom Pom maker and I hate it. They are worthless!
I just got my Pom Pom makers from Amazon, really excited to start making Pom poms😉
Hi Charles! They're a lot of fun, and especially a great way to use up scrap yarn for something fun and useful :)
