saw him at Grendl's Lair in Philly in '73. He came over & stood in front of me & sang a few songs. Wish I could remember which ones. You know when you're in shock you remember nothing. Listen to the John Herald song- Ramblin Jack Elliot. classic.
Not many viewers. Ramblin' Jack needs to ramble some more. I saw him on the Johnny Cash show a LONG time ago. He looked like he'd had few, and was late getting to the studio. All by design, I suppose. Many of us can be what we want to be, if we put our mind to it. The Ramblin' Man did it.
Blue coat chambers 60 ish yes I remember jack elliott shelve full of final CDs to 3 times in liverpool then later he declined to a lead belly tour but did catch him and rev Gary davis
24 years later and the story still has no end. Here's to another quarter century.
This man is a folktale put to life. Fascinating. He'll always be a cowboy representative of the American myth/reality.

Been lookin for years for a song by jack , its about two horse killers
Rusty Jiggs and Sandy Sam ?
My fave.
O think this program is wrong : Jack Elliot didn’t ramble for half a decade but half a century more exactly

Who is the narrator? Voice sounds familar. Kinda like Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs.
Charles Osgood, the then host of CBS Sunday Morning, is the narrator.
John Goodman - George W. Bush = Ramblin' Jack
