Europe - Summer '23 | Sony a7S III Travel Film

Hey, it's been a while. I'm happy to finally be putting out this video I filmed in July of 2023. I've been chipping away at it ever since then but have struggled with motivation and the creative spark to get it finished and out into the world. On this Europe Trip, we travelled to Berlin, Prague, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Norway, London, and Scotland. I also for the first time shot with a vintage lens adapted from my film camera onto my a7S III. It was a fun challenge shooting on a prime lens with manual focus which I tried to also convey with the colour grade and edit.
Over the past few years, I had been working full time and with freelance work on top of that, I began to feel creatively burnt out and didn't have the energy to put effort into my own personal projects. After this Europe trip, I felt inspired for some change. A year later I quit my job and left Adelaide to go and live in London, where I have been now for 5 months. It's been great to spend some time away from work, reconnect with myself and set up a new life here in a new city. I have still been filming things every now and then and I'm excited to edit them together and start sharing things more regularly. I'm challenging myself to post a video every month this year so stay tuned for that! If you're still reading this, thank you.
