    This set comes with 5 bands of varying resistance, a storage bag, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxS7ex6L4sMqpaTn4LnBPyBmRQsSingL8y a small pamphlet with some sample exercises, and an access code for an online workout video. I haven't viewed the online video, so I cannot speak to the quality of that piece of the set. However, everything else is perfect for what I was looking for. The bands are durable, and the resistance strength varies enough between bands that they're each useful for different exercises and provide a great challenge as you gradually increase the resistance level for certain exercises. The only band I don't use very often is the lowest resistance band, but even that is nice for exercises that target weaker/seldom used muscle groups.

      Yes they can if weights are beating you up and stealing from your fitness. I also feel from a longevity standpoint, bands are going to continue to be a better options as you age.

    I bought a set of RBT bands last year to use on work travel and do some of my own 'joint recovery' work between gym sessions. I'm so thankful I had them on hand when all this hit. They have kept me going, experimenting, and getting stronger along with bodyweight work these past two months of COVID. I've recommended them to multiple friends since. Keep it up Dave.

    Great video. I either do the one arm at a time chest fly or I do the two at a time using both of my bars mounted a good distance apart. I always use the handles for whichever method I use.

    nice video on alternative setups and muscle activation/patterning. any thoughts on the various standing positions/stabilizations?

      Pretty much all of these setups will require full activation and stability of the shoulder so overall I'd say they are much safer than using free weights laying on a bench.
      The 1 variation that used 1 band from the side really requires more stabilization from the trunk and legs to resistance the rotation forces.

    Been using bands for a few months. Its hard because i went from lifting 100 lbs dbs for chest to using bands. My rear delt pops out of place. It hurts when pressing. So I've been using them so my joints can be at ease. There actually great in general. Have kept all my size and its not feeling sore. I don't feel so stiff anymore also. Obviously once I get this shoulder taken care of i want to bring weights back but feel like i would always use both moving forward. I feel like bands would be more important as im in a different stage of training. I want to feel good physically.

      Hope you feel better soon. I've got several videos about combining bands and weights. I usually call in band contrast training so keep at eye out for those videos.

    you missed out on the best resistance best band chest fly variation. Its one arm. You hold your arm in an L shape at shoulder height. Double wrap the band around your lower forearm. Walk out as far as you can get and at a point it will stretch your arm in an l shape backwards.. Set something in front of you that you can hold onto with your free hand so that the band doesn't pull you back if you get a lot of resistance. Then keeping your arm in an L shape the entire time, squeeze the band in as far as you can. I actually like to woodchop down since it gives me the best connection. Had to comment, cause this took me forever tonight to figure out how to get the best connection.

    I don't have an attached setting, is the example you showed in the beginning (where the band is against your back) at least somewhat effective? Also, would putting the band underneath my workout bench and doing flies like that effective, or will it be bad for my shoulders?

      Band around the back is unattached. An attachment point really helps you take your training to the next level. Around the bench would be about the same as around your back. Resistance would be a little bit more but the vectors are the same as around your back.

      We sell them in our shop. resistancebandtraining.com/shop/b-r-rbt-2/ Most home improvement stores sell something similar called grab bars in their plumbing departments. Just make sure they are well anchored.
      I use them with our anchor straps for easy adjustment but the strap can also be used with most standard doors and things outside like small trees or posts or poles.

    Im able do dumbell press with 10kg to 12 resps. What LB band should i buy for cable cross ,? Cant waste money with bands with lesser LB.

      It's hard to say exactly as the resistance increases the more you stretch the band. I'd probably say red.

    chest flys with a band or on the dual pulley machine is the best way to get a great contraction. never liked flys and I always steered people away from doing them towards doing the pec dec or dual pulley. i mean if you really enjoy doing them then they're fine but there are better alternatives.

      @@GeorgeTropicana lmao man why so upset🤣🤣. dumbass blog? well, iv been training people for over 15 years and about 5 years of schooling and I do this full time and operate a studio. but here let me expand on what I was trying to say since maybe it didn't come off right. Getting the best contraction for the pectoral muscles is going to come from the chest fly machine. looks like I didn't really structure that sentence well above so I can see how it can be confusing. the reason is that you become very stabilized and would get a good contraction eccentrically and concentrically. however, it doesn't mean you can't with other means of motion for your chest as well. dual pully variations are great as well and sure bands can work but I generally steer people towards doing a pec dec machine if I am able to. I get any one of my current clients or people from the past, depending on the program I develop for them and what they are looking for, will show them how to perform most exercises as well but in terms of getting the best contraction, pec dec is always going to be better than any band. again not saying it can't be good or utilized, just not as good.

      Yes bands are very knee joint friendly. The key is finding the best exercises for you to start with.

    For me, the band has to come from the side, not so much from behind, that way you have the best contraction. All the way to the side, only slighly behind

      Awesome. Yea once you have a place to attach to it so it's to slightly adjust by turning your body and/or moving the band up and down the connection point.
