If you like, a kayfabe reason would be that Kronii is used to manipulating time for her own convenience. She relies on being able to pause and rewind reality, letting her make (the appearance of) perfectly executed skills and decisions. Playing by the rules of the game, the most she has access to is a pause, being unable to rewind and correct herself is an anxiety she's not used to feeling, that she has to deal with the consequences of poor choices.
I remember her doing a voice bit about baking a cake for us, screwing it up badly, casually rewinding time just to get the cake done right, then pretending it was flawless and easy.
How ironic that the Warden of Time does not deal well with timed events.
Maybe it's because it's ineluctable ! It's the precise reason
I guess when you're used to having literally all the time in the world, having to actually perform on a deadline becomes a task of epic proportions

*TL;DR:* I'm not one who fears the _dying_ part itself, rather, the events & moments that lead up to it, especially given if I somehow knew death is coming mere seconds away. So I can sort of understand Kronii in this predicament.
I once had a dream as a wee child; watched so much action films back then.
A bit fuzzy on the smaller details, but I was notified of a bomb in a mall & was tasked to find & disarm it.
Throughout the entirety of the dream, I could hear the loud beeping countdown of its timer as I searched for the bomb. There was no bomb squad as this was just a dream, which makes little to no sense to begin with.
Anyway, I found the bomb, but I didn't have enough time to disarm it. As one would expect, just before the countdown hits zero, I woke up covered in sweat, feeling like my heart was gonna burst out.
