ADAS is not designed for idiots in third world countries like Pakistan,India,etc. It is designed for clear roads ADAS systems are not advanced enough to monitor the rear end aswell the fault is of the pedestrian who was not walking on the designated footpath and the auto rickshaw who rear ended the car, he should have maintained a safe distance

@@RajPatel-by3wjactually adas is primarily created to avoid city accidents with pedestrians. Problem with India is there is no proper infrastructure in place. There is streets without footpath..no lane discipline. Bad road design. No animal barricading or law to fine animal owners.
First thing, if you are driving fast, never drive on left lane and right lane, drive middle of 2 lanes, somebody want to overtake you , choose which lane you want to shift. Drive in the middle of the road not on right lanes when you cross 80kmph.

If you look at the driving style of the Harrier. It's clear brakes was applied by the driver himself NOT BY ADAS. Harrier / Safari , as per the ADAS feature turns on its Hazard light if you suddenly apply the brakes while vehicle does the same in case of AEB(Auto Emergency Braking). BUT, when Harrier/ Safari applies AEB as per its ADAS feature then it brakes Hard & stops the vehicle to the "standstill". It takes almost .5 second by ADAS to give the control of Brakes to the Driver.
I have , TATA SAFARI Adv+A(AT). I've gone thru the similar experience, multiple times.

But you have no evidence that the driver applied the brakes.

But if the driver was driving with ADAPTIVE CRUISE control ON then such described scenario in video is possible bcoz in ADAPTIVE CRUISE ctrl Auto braking is Image based not just Radar based (Image based Auto braking is fast & brake ur vehicle in advanced than Radar based Auto braking)
And right after auto braking you can get the control on ur own immediately to maneuver your vehicle. While in case of Radar based Auto braking ur brake paddle becomes FREE & it takes almost a half second(as it brings the vehicle to "complete Standstill", which is not the case here) to get the control back to the driver.

ADAS or no ADAS, there was a clear fault of Harrier's driver. Many people overtake like this, changing lanes so close to the vehicle ahead. He should've come in the overtaking lane way before he actually did.

Somewhat agree. The fault is of such indian drivers who don't drive with rules n logic which good for their own life.
But the truck drive is also at fault bcoz his rear or tail lights were either not working or covered in mud. He should have cleaned it before continue driving.
In developed countries be it rain, hot summer or freezing snow the drivers has to make sure of lights and many many other strict rules of which sadly not 1 is followed here.
Also how these buffaloes came on highway? There are barriers these days and fences and many other things otherwise dogs would be also there.

I have MG Astor and I always drive with ADAS on, and the way Honda Elevate applied breaks, I am happy with MG Astor as I have driven in Heavy Pedestrian traffic and my vehicle performs flawless.

Basically inside city don't use ADAS. Its suitable mostly for Highways which are well marked & Radar based. Inner city traffic also has oncoming traffic which sometimes do this "Cut maarna" which would activate ADAS unnecessarily.

In india we cannot maintain a safe distance in heavy traffic because if iam maintaining a good distance people behind me will not care about this and they will just overtake me and get in front of my car just to get ahead and this thing is mostly done by autos, E rickshaws and two wheeler riders they just want to place their damn vehicle in every small gap on the road and that's why car driver usually just dont leave space and stick their cars bumper to bumper

In india if you keep your distance from vehicle in front you'll find a different vehicle come and fill that space. That happens with me lots of time

in 2nd video, truck driver could have given the singal for not overtaking by hazard, sadly its not the case here as truck's lights are not working.
Many truck drivers do this on mumbai-ahmedabad NH 48 for any danger/pot hole ahead. couple of time that worked for me in this month. But the truth is most of the car drivers are not noticing this.
ADAS IS VERY IMPORTANT ESPECIALLY IN OUR COUNTRY WHERE ANYTHING SUDDENLY COMES IN THE WAY ON THE EXPRESSWAYS.
A simple suggestion:
1. Turn off all ADAS sensors when the avg is below 60km/hr because of fools( City traffic, city roads etc)
2. Turn on All sensors above 60km/hr on highways/expressways.
Mahindra ADAS is perfect suitable indian roads. Saying this by experience

Elevate driver was accelerating when ppl came in front of the car that is why car applied break. If driver had placed his feet in breaks, elevate's cmbs would not have got activated.
Elevate worked the way it should work. Even little touch to break pedal avoids cmbs.
Car did not know if driver is conscious enough to stop the car as ppl got infront of it.
Auto activation of cmbs is part of safety feature from honda, either ppl should know how to drive with cmbs on or they should remember to turn it off before moving the car. Being Elevate owner, I can say, Elevate's adas works the way it should work even low visibilty and without RADAR.
Indian auto should also have such feature, Because if the person in front stops, he will also stop automatically.😅 Or uske piche ki garantee koi nahi lee sakta.😢

You are right prateek, logon ka kaam nikalne k baad log inhe chhod dete h, Hal hi me me apni Tata Altroz se Delhi se Jodhpur gaya tha, Rajasthan me road bhot achhi h par sabse bada problem h waha par jagah jagah highway par Gay bethi hui thi jisse hua ye ki 5-6 ghante tak mujhe bhot jyada alert hokar gaadi chalani padi.

I have a MG Gloster and I switch off the ADAS systems in cities. The ADAS systems remain off until you switch them on again. The systems in Mg do not automatically restart after switching on the car.
