@TheGEGgaming I'm an old fan and I still love new papa roach. Infest will always be my favorite but The Connection is a close second. Papa Roach has never lost me with their changes. I may not have LOVED some of their changes but none of them dis-pleased me.

My personal opinion, I have always enjoyed papa roaches music, from old to new. Even the stuff that they released before becoming mainstream. They are just evolving, trying new things and seeing how their fans react to new sounds. In my eyes papa roach will always be amazing.

Another nail in the Papa Roach's coffin. They made no progress in their music since their beginning, it's incredible...
Been a follower of Papa Roach since I was a little kid. As much as I love their old music, I've been a huge fan of the lyrics for songs from The Connection and again this song. I've had a really tough few years, I lost my mum and almost lost my dad, and having these songs from my favourite childhood band to remind me that we can all get through the shit that life throws at us is great. I get that their sound is different, but the passion and belief is still there.

Sounds different, but it still sounds like Papa Roach. That shit only means that it's fucking great.
EVERYTIME a band releases a new album, people are yelling about, that "they change so much" and so on... hell, that's an ongoing process, music changes year for year and if they want to be part of that change, we should accept it and recognize the hard work beyond every single song, regardless whether you like the old ones more, or not. It's still good music.
What ever changes Papa Roach make to their music, it always sounds good. No complaints.
Damn, people never seem to understand why their "favorite" bands change their sound. All Papa Roach is doing is trying to stay relevant with the time. They did a little electronic mix in 'The Connection' and people seemed to like it. So now they're doing it again, possibly a bit stronger, and you are all just so ready to abandon ship. If this new album fails and doesn't get good reviews, chances are they'll go back to their old ways. It's just progression. Deal with it. Every band out there will always try something new.
Thats the thing when bands changes their sound just to keep up with the current times then that the band is or was a sell out, I'm not saying they are but that's what can happen. The connection was more for the teenage crowd and this album sounds like a Christian rock album...

But thats the thing. If all of these bands start switching to techno instead of real instruments, than there will be no more percussion, no more drums, no more real music. Just pressing buttons on a computer. Metamorphosis WAS better and Time for Annihilation, because of it's lack of Techno.
True, personally i like older music. This new age shit is junk. Then again the 90s is what i hold onto.....shitty childhood. I would love it if they didnt change.
After all of these years Papa Roach didn't really change, they evolved, they tryied a lot of styles, but one of the thing they still have is their passion ! Their music still sound fucking good, you can feel the energy ! And that's why I love Papa Roach, for me it's the greatest band today !

it doesn't matter if it sounds different. it sounds the same. now let me elaborate: Energy. The uplifting feeling and ring to the tones, that's what these bands are all about. Something Papa Roach lost along the way...and now they found it!

i love scrolling down the comment sections of random rock bands who either have once been, or are still immensly popular, and listen to people either complain about or justify the changes made to the band's particular styles in an album, almost as entertaining as the music itself, you guys all crack me up, every single one of you.
Reason why I love Papa Roach so much is because their lyrics have so much meaning to me and so many other fans. I can't wait to see them again next month after waiting 4 years for their return. I cried for hours last year because I couldn't go! And thank you guys for releasing your new album the day before my birthday ❤ best present ever!

Just wait for the rest of the music on this album. i just worked with them on the first music video from this album and the song it is for, is very much like they used to have. I was so excited to here the song while shooting because I missed their old style.

Papa Roach are a band that are in no way as big as they should be. Yet another great song that the World will probably overlook.
In an ever evolving landscape of music Papa Roach decides one again to reinvent themselves with F.E.A.R. Going from hard and heavy to something a bit more....pop. While I personally am not a fan of their new sound, they continue to impress fans worldwide. Keep up the work guys!
I've listened to this song a few days before on radio and I wasn't surprised when the radio moderator said this was Papa Roach. But i was surprised in a positive way, because this song sounds like a totally different Papa Roach to me. A Papa Roach I could like again

People need to remember, it's just one song! The other songs are way different. So far this is the only song that has this electronic sound to it. "F.E.A.R." and "Broken as Me" both have PR's heavier sound to them. Don't care what anyone says, this album is gonna be amazing. Can't wait.

I love the electronic sound in this. It's no where near over the top, there's still definitely as much energy and passion I've heard in previous P-Roach albums. Good mix in my opinion.

Lovehatetradgey will always be my favorite album by PR, and probably one of my all time favorite albums period. They fell off in Paramour Sessions and Metamorphosis for me, but I did love The Connection, and this single makes it sound like they're coming back out hard, and I'm really looking forward to it. I don't think they're sellouts, I think they're just changing their sound to what they wanna play, and as long as it sounds like them, I don't give a shit how it sounds. I'll always rock the fuck out to PRoach

I have a love/hate relationship with this song.
In on hand, i can say, that it sounds pretty cool, but I kinda hate it, when I see, that this song is made by Papa Roach.
This band was my all time favorite. The Paramour Sessions was in my eyes their best creation and I will always love their crazy ass stile arround that time.
Well now they seem to gravitate towards the radio friendly sound.
I hope their new album wont be too poppy/electronic like what happened to korn.

***** Yeah, I exactly meant that album. If we are quite honest, Korn is highly influenced by Jonathan's side project and the modern style of "pop metal"
Don't get me wrong, I like the album, but they promised a throwback album to their roots (also because of Head's comeback)
They've lost their raw guitar driven sound of their first albums.
KoRn is still my favorite band along with slipknot, but I hope they get away from all this digital shit and make music as they used to.
They had a very unique, "in your face" sound, but now?...
Just compare the last 3 albums with their first 4 albums, then you get my point.
Yeah, I get what you're saying. Still not convinced to call them poppy/electronic though, since I believe they went back to their roots in some of the songs/parts of a song with the latest album. It is, however, no where near the first ones in terms of rawness.
