It's a interesting interview, with very good insights. I share the same will to work one my own and be a solo architect like Lee.
But recently my perspective about this challenge change, because i read a book, named "The E-Myth Revisited".
In this book the author speaks about this issue, about be working for someone and decide to be a free lancer to be more independent.
The conclusion about the majority of employers that take this step is that we change only the people who we work for, and turn in free will slaves of our own work...
It's an realy interesting insight that made me rethink how we must take this step to be entrepreneur architect.
Thank you Enoch for all content you share, I'm a big follower!

Hi Enoch, this was a great video on getting started. I am starting a design service with the intent of using it to collect my AXP hours for NCARB. Then I hope to transfer it into a full fledged architectural firm. I love the idea of starting with contractors. That thought came to me also.
Question 1: if I sign a contract, who should the contract be between? Client - me - contractor or client - contractor - me?
Question 2: What about meeting with commercial real estate AGENTS (not investors) and offering a preliminary design review of one of the buildings they're selling to show to their potential clients?
